MikeKeymasterHi
We have one over at Naas tomorrow for which we will going straight in tonight as bet365 are offering a ridiculous price compared to the other bookmakers.
2.12 Lake Manzaleh 250-1 but we have taken 1.5 points each way 45-1 for 10 places. The 1.5 points is the increase in stakes required for the “Rolling Maul” bet.
All the other bookmakers are offering between 66-1 and 80-1 for 3 places. This is one again taken from our database of Irish hurdlers and although having shown nothing so far and having first run for new yard we do think this is one to follow.
MikeKeymasterHi
We are still tidying the site up but are nearly there (honest) π
But just to keep the threads going Suds and I have a minor difference of opinion in the 2.45 at Clonmel today where we are looking for one of us to sneak 8th place.
I am going with The Lucky Lobster 150-1 but I have taken the 26-1 for 8 places
Over to you Suds. π
MikeKeymasterHi
I have left a lot of this thread active as it has gone a long way to showing you that the “Rolling Maul” is possibly one of the only logical ways to try and get a “Dream punt” home. π
I am sure we will all be giving this a go in 2024 and I will be using the “Rolling Maul” principle on both of my new threadsΒ Mike’s Retirement Plan andΒ Mike’s Pension Pot . Now there maybe several ways to play this style of bet out either by splitting your bet or just increasing your momentum by gradually increasing your stakes. It will be interesting to see how far someone can take it. π
Thanks go out to Suds(Clarence), Perry(RKay), Joe(JoeH) for joining in and taking the idea forward.:)
MikeKeymasterHi
For those who are waiting for the results from our last post unfortunately a heavy fog descended on Naas and the racing was abandoned after the first race. π We hope weather permitting (they are now forecasting snow) we will back on Thursday. π
MikeKeymasterHi
βThis website was my retirement plan when I started it just over five years and I will be retiring at the end of the month. π This is now a perfect time for me to clean up the site and re-vamp it so quite a few of the old threads may disappear be archived or be almagamated into new ones. If there are any members past or present who wish any specific threads to remain please let me know asapβ
We have cleaned up most of the threads today with the exception of the main Winningposts thread which will take a while. π
MikeKeymasterHi
Well that went better than expected with all three bets coming in which were as follows
12.12 Cork The Dawn 29-1 for 10 places getting a return of +6.80 Profit +4.80
12.12 Cork The Dawn 35-1 for 9 places which got a return of +8 Profit +6
1.22 Cork Glen Kiln 33-4 for 5 places returning +2.65 Profit of +0.65
The Dawn ran on into sixth and although we had only taken him for nine and ten places we need to protect our bank when starting a new enterprise and are happy to have got off to a flyer. π
This means are initial bank of 10 points now stands at 21.45 after the first day. π
Tomorrow we head over to Naas to see if we can continue the run
2.35 Lake Manzaleh 250-1 but we will take the 35-1 for 10 places
Lake Manzaleh is another taken from our database but this is a trickier race so we will stick with the 1 point each way in the extra markets for tonight, but will keep an eye on any price movements during the morning.
MikeKeymasterHi Suds

Newcastle to beat Sunderland + BTTS @ 9-4This weeks lottery numbers are the usual 4,7,16,23,31 and 50
MikeKeymasterHi
We have just finished resetting this particular thread for 2024. π We have left The Chris Gotterup Golf wager in for two reasons. Firstly as an example of the type of ‘Long Shot‘ bet we have been targetting over the years and also because we will be following him on tour this year.Β π
MikeKeymasterHi
A bit of a damp squid to end the year but such is life. π
This thread will be blank until the weeekend as the Irish Racing is on hold for five days which is the perfect opportunity for me to initiate the following change.

MikeKeymasterHi
That was a bit better but still desperately unlucky
Connacht v Munster
Over 37.5 points Lost
Over 2.5 penalties Won
This bet totals 13/5
Ospreys v Cardiff
Over 36.5 points Won
Cardiff to win +2.5 points lost (in last three minutes)
This bet totals 10/3
Dragons v Scarlets Lost
Under 45.5 points Won
A yellow card in the match yesΒ Lost
This bet totals 20/21
Leinster v Ulster
Ulster to win + 13.5 points (banker bet) Won
Over 41.5 points Won
This bet totals 4/1
Out of the 8 predictions you had 5 right the banker bet came in @ 10-11 and the last bet won @ 4-1 so you would have made a profit on the day.
Out of the points total predictions
Connacht v Munster over 37.5 points @ 5-6 lost
Ospreys v Cardiff over 36.5 points @ 5-6 Won
Dragons v Scarlets under 45.5 points @ 4-5 Won
Leinster v Ulster over 41.5 points @ 10-11 Won
So again you would have cleared another profit I believe no pun intended if we tried linking these to our specialist ‘Rolling Maul’ bet and playing the banker bets we could take this thread forward.Β π
MikeKeymasterHi Suds
I have updated the odds on a couple of your wagers as I know you are out and about today. π
MikeKeymasterHi
Unfortunately we already have a non runner in Lake Manzaleh but we still have a couple going and will now be using both of the the win bets but for our New Years Day acca.

Although we will probably be having limited contact with the LS site in 2024 π the line remains and we will still donate a monthly contribution based on 1 point at SP for every winning runner in the line. It was a nice idea initially and these things happen but a promise is a promise and the line stays in under there name with a full 1/7 share (should we pick up any prize money).Β π
MikeKeymasterHi
Well return wise we wiped our nose today as Shana Cloon placed third and County Graduate came seventh when we needed sixth. πΒ However the good news for our 4yo database is that of the five horse we listed as being of interest “Billy Lee Swagger,Shana Cloon,Verbal Sparring, Keeptellinumnutin and County Graduate”. Billy Lee Swagger won the race, Verbal Sparring was second and Shana Cloon finished fourth so we were pretty chuffed with that and will hope to improve on it next year. π
Asa for tomorrow we have a few of interest but the markets are not all up yet so we will need to update the thread in the morning when the non runners have been declared etc etc.
Tramore 12.00 Lake Manzaleh 66-1 but we have taken 18-1 for 8 places
Fairyhouse 12.40 Lucky Two 100-1 but we have gone with 28-1 for 6 places
Fairyhouse 1.15 Custers Mistake @ 22-1 for 6 places
We may be using the following bets for a long shot accumulator for New Years Day in one form or another so these would have to be win bets usually without the favourites etc and we will update that option in the morning.
Fairyhouse 1.50 Cher Why Not 11-2 but we are looking to bet wtihout the favourite/s
Cheltenham 2.05 Al Dancer 12-1 but we are looking to go in without Stage Star and Richmond Lake -
