Unfortunately once again although Spring Street placed as an each way extra we did not get it on the site in time so cannot claim it. Then Diamboy Des Carres lost out for third place by a short head so were a shade unlucky to drop a couple of points today. 🙁
However we still finished +40.76 points up for the month and I am dead chuffed with that. 🙂 There is nothing on the cards here until Thurles on Thursday but we will be looking to start up the Ten To Follow competition over the next few days.

Joe was a tad unlucky in a few of his games (but still has over a 50% strike rate) especially as a few of the games were decent odds and the next time we attempt this I will do the breakdown maths on smaller multiple accumulators.
As for mine we had one void game and 5 wins and ended up a -0.7 of a point down from a stake of 12 points so is probably worth another go next weekend. 🙂

We have a couple of each way extra’s over at Clonmel tomorrow which are as follows

1.45 Walk In Time 66-1 but we have taken the 30-1 for 10 places and 40-1 for 9 places
2.20 Craic Elle 66-1 but we have taken the 22-1 for 10 places (option on 29-1 for 9 places)

We have edited the prices on Walk In Time as they altered by the time we placed the bet and we will have to take those prices. However the prices are drifting out so it might be worth you waiting until late morning as the 66-1 is already 100-1 etc.

It was a good start to the day when Cloudy Fountain came in but then the ground and our luck turned against us and the last three remaining runners all pulled up. 🙁 This means overall we lost -2.6 points on the day but it’s been a good month so far and we still remain +40.8 points up with 7 days to go.
There is nothing on for today and it may go a little on the slow side this week while we start our groundwork for the Ten To Follow competition which starts next month. 🙁

I have now done a first post mortem of both Joe’s and my first attempts and what has become glaringly obvious is that s the lack of ability to put one in the back of net that has thwarted most of our bets.
Here are my last five attempts using the new stats based selections.

Over 0 cards for Everton
Over 1 goal for Crystal Palace
Over 2 corners for Everton
Chelsea v Man United @ 4-7 Won
Over 0 cards for Man United
Over 1 goal in the match

As you can see every part of my bets came in except the highlighted parts which were all goals that never materialised. 🙁
As previously mentioned in a recent post the other problem is the amount of bets required to get a decent return and the type of bet that the bookmaker will accept in mulitples.
I have a possible solution which I wiil attepmt to explain a bit later as I am working on the maths as we speak. Unfortunately it will mean increasing our intial stake and taking the slow burn approach and even splitting the bet as we go but trying to pull off a dream bet is a tricky thing which very few people are even silly enough to try (but I love a challenge)…lol.
