Yes I had art of silence at 40/1 it was a good winner 👌🏻
02/06/2022 at 7:49 PM #11570MikeKeymasterHi
Not much to shout about for tomorrow, but I have another one running from my current list of horses to follow so feel obliged to take a punt on him.
The horse in question is Alex D and he runs in the 6.11 at Tramore. He is currently priced up at a 100-1 but although he has potential he is not an easy ride. Therefore, I will be looking for a decent price in the extra markets and will update the wager in the morning. I like the booking of Shane Fitzgerald and if he can get the horse to settle, we might sneak a small return.03/06/2022 at 1:51 PM #11574MikeKeymasterHi
Stuck at work today 🙁 but will quickly give you the updated options on Alex D from last night.
You can get 33-1 for 6 places or 50-1 betting without both Burran Song and Baron Wild.
South East Star 66-1 goes in the same race but can be had at 25-1 and 33-1 respectively for the same style of bet.
Midnight Fortune 150-1 goes in the 4.50 at Down Royal but is up against it, so the 33-1 betting without Anna Buniba and Sit Down Lucy looks the best option.
As I said not much on today and the weekend as usual looks the best opportunity for a decent punt.03/06/2022 at 7:51 PM #11577MikeKeymasterHi
With Alex D placed sixth at 33-1 and the others missing out you would have stayed onside had you just done Alex D but strayed offside if you had done them all. So very much a case of living to fight another day.
However as a footnote if you watch the replay, Alex D’s jockey has a canny look over his shoulder on the run in and eases the horse off (so keep him in your notebook for next time).
As for Saturday we have another runner from our list of horses to follow and two for the flat.
Morepowertya (our to follow horse) goes in the 1.15 at Tramore we have gone in tonight at 33-1 for 4 places.
The obvious winner here is Stilyker who is already odds on and being backed as if he cannot lose.
You would be have to an idiot to back against him, but as he has not raced for nearly a year I am that idiot. Maybe in the extra markets you could bet without the favourite if you are so inclined.
Shock horror ! I very rarely dabble on the flat but I fancy a little flutter on the following at Epsom.
3.45 Justanotherbottle @ 12-1 for 7 places
5.15 Soapy Stevens @ 9-1 for 5 places
I would not put anyone off risking a few pennies on the above and with all the extra places on offer an each way double might be the steal of the day.04/06/2022 at 7:16 PM #11581MikeKeymasterHi
Morepowertoya drifted wide around the final bend and despite running on had lost all hope. Justanotherbottle reared up in the stalls and although declared officially as a runner Sky bet have decided it was a void bet.
“15.45 Epsom Downs – In line with our ‘Fairness Campaign’ we have voided your bet on Justanotherbottle as the selection was slow from the stalls leaving it with no chance in the race”
This left Soapy Stevens who placed 3rd at our advised 9-1 which means for the second day in a row, we neither win nor lose which seems a waste of time and effort but such is life.
As for tomorrow we have a couple of runners over at Kilbeggan
2.10 Wee Terry @ 150-1
3.55 Cracklinrose @ 33-1
Both are listed as reserves at present, so may not get a run and as we will be looking for an edge in the extra markets we will update the thread late tomorrow, after the non runners have been declared.05/06/2022 at 12:25 PM #11591MikeKeymasterHi
Crackilnrose is indeed a non runner but Wee Terry has managed to get in the starting line up in the 2.10.
However, be warned he is drifting like a barge and is out to 150-1 which obviously indicates I am the only person on the planet who thinks he will not finish stone last. 🙁
With this in mind, for the thread we have taken 29-1 for 8 places and 40-1 for 7 places both available in the each way extra markets with bet 365.
For those more adventurous types, although this one is unlikely to get involved until getting a few more runs under his belt, you can get 80-1 betting without both Scenic Look and The Gradual Slope.05/06/2022 at 6:24 PM #11595MikeKeymasterHi
Wee Terry was only ever in conention for the first mile but with half a dozen of the runners pulling up we will keep him in the notebook for managing to at least finish the race.
Tomorrow see’s today’s non runner Cracklinrose turn out in the 3.10 at Listowel and we have gone straight in at 20-1 for 5 places with bet 365.
In the 2.35 we have a hatful of each way extra opportunities with Open The Gate 66-1 and Elle Dorado Rock 100-1 being the probable selections. Out The Gap 100-1 and Ned The Smith 100-1 are possible options, should we get a hatful of non runners.
We will confirm tomorrow morning when the extra markets are published.06/06/2022 at 11:00 AM #11601MikeKeymasterHi
All four run in the 2.35 which is a bit of a conundrum, but we will stick with our original selections.
Open The Gate @ 21-1 for 10 places and 25-1 for 9 places.
Elle Dorado Rock @ 26-1 for 10 places and 33-1 for 9 places.06/06/2022 at 8:59 PM #11602MikeKeymasterHi
Well wouldn’t you just know it, of the four 100-1 shot horses in our (to follow) list, that all ended up running in the same race. We randomly picked two of them for 10th place Open The Gate finished 11th and Elle Dorado Rock finished 12th. The two we left out Out The Gap finished 5th and Ned The Smith finished 8th.
Life is like that sometimes 🙁 . To cap a bad day off Cracklinrose pulled up (hopefully not injured).
Fortunately, there is not much on the horizon until later in the week which will give me a chance to continue with the revamp on the site, but we will be back shortly. 🙂07/06/2022 at 7:35 PM #11610MikeKeymasterHi
There will not be much to bet on here until the weekend where we will list any tips used from the trial run of the old Beat The Lotto (£) competition.
Until then we will try to keep the thread active with the occasional bit of fun, tomorrow’s is at Wexford.
2.00 Felicity Flick @ 10-1
3.45 Yulong Voice @ 15-2 for 5 places
You would be opposing another well fancied odds on shot if you take the punt in the 2.00. But as the favourite has not run for a while (after running a stinker last time out) you might get lucky.
Possibly with the extra places on offer in the 3.45 an each way double would be the way to go if you just have to have a bet.08/06/2022 at 7:20 PM #11618MikeKeymasterHi
The only good thing about todays bit of fun was that we had the right race and the odds on favourite was indeed beaten. The bad news is not by our horse who pulled up shortly after stumbling on the dirt path across the track. 🙁
As mentioned last night there has not been anything of note for the last few days and there is nothing on the horizon until Saturday so we will try the football thread instead to see if we can conjure up a bet. 🙂10/06/2022 at 10:29 PM #11643MikeKeymasterHi
Here are tommorow’s tips taken from the Beat The Lotto (£) thread.2.20 Downpatrick Willyouwalkwithme @ 11-2
It will be tricky to beat Uncle Gerhard today and the safe bet would be betting without the favourite. But I believe my course specialist will sit in behind Ingenous Stroke before taking it up just over halfway and hopefully will slip enough of a lead to hold off the favourite.
3.05 York Mandoob @ 9-4
Mandoob and Kemari are the only proven stayers in the field but with Kemari having been off the track since January, I am expecting my selection to edge this in what on paper looks a tight contest.
4.35 Sandown Findono @ 11-2
FINDONO is the only 4yo in the race so has to give weight for age to all of his 11 rivals in this race, but has finished third on both of his starts, so he clearly has ability, whilst Jamie Spencer is just the jockey to navigate what could prove to be a tricky draw in Stall 12. (Robmull)12/06/2022 at 9:21 AM #11656MikeKeymasterHi
Willyouwalkwithme did what I thought he would, but obviously was just not good enough on the day. Mandoob in reality never got into it but as all six the runners finished within 4 lenghts of each other it was tight enough not to write him off next time out. (Rob’s) Findono wore his heart on his sleeve and led from the front but the weight for age probably told in the end. However as he held on for third place, each way backers would not have lost out.
As I have pointed out on the other threads today hopefully this has given you an idea of how the revamped site will be interlinked and you still have a window of opportunity to have a dabble if you are unsure, whether or not to join in. The site will reset in a couple of weeks when it is glich free.12/06/2022 at 8:06 PM #11665MikeKeymasterHi
I am just posting a few thoughts for tomorrow night’s racing at Kilbeggan to test a reported problem.
If anyone is having any problems posting on the threads just drop me a line. 🙂5.30 Legacy Of Dreams 22-1
6.00 Griffith Park 50-1 or Chief Seattle 28-1 both available for 5 places
8.30 Slate Grey 11-1I will update the thread tomorrow lunchtime to see if there is a possible bet in the extra markets.
