We will have to wait a little longer to place the double as the extra markets have not yet been published and we wish to bet without the favourite/s on Sharetheknowledge.

That was better and worth the wait. Shana Cloon placed third wiping its nose and Pax came fourth so both bets on that came in giving us a profit on the day of just over +5 points.
We are going over to Thurles tomorrow for this one which we will take on tonight.
4.25 Mullins Cross @ 11-1 for 5 places.

Pax placed fourth and by using up our 7 point option (at 3.5 points each way) gave us a return of 14.70 which left us with a nice enough +7.70 profit on the day. This means our current running total is now at +31.75 but the next bet has to be an 8 pointer.

For those who picked up on last nights post we might be on one here Pax was 80-1 last night and is being backed off the boards this morning. We have taken the 16-1 for 10 places and 20-1 for 9 places for the thread but wish we had taken the 80-1 now. That said the horse still has to run, the meeting still has to go ahead and the horse still has to finish the race in the top 3 to get 80-1 whereas finishing 9th or better I would be happy with….lol.

Another non runner in Whale Harbour and even though Jasmin De Cotte only managed midfield it is still frustrating that we cannot get a run with our selections.
We do have high hopes of the meeting going ahead at Punchestown tomorrow where we will be looking at the following selctions subject to the extra markets.

Chris Gotterup could only manage a last round finish the last time we backed him and we have bypassed him the last twice. But this weeks Mexican Open has him at 100-1 for 6 places with Skybet and that has to be worth a punt.

We scraped a return last week by virtue of Wales in the rugby, Newcastle in the football and our horse being a non runner but they all count. We will try the same horse this week and hope he runs.

I can see I will have to pull my finger out, as both Joe and yourself are starting to get some in. If the Scarlets had pulled there finger out tonight you would have had a clean sweep, as it was only the match handicap that let you down.
But you have cleared a few points profit between the five bets and that’s the name of the game. 🙂

Well I was due a wake up call and although the principle behind the bet was good (had Coulrophobia run another low 9.30 he would have finished 4th) he probably went off to fast and faded two out. 🙁
This means we dropped 7 points and now drop back to +24.05 but can still use the 7 point option.

Although this is a tougher race and there are only 6 places available our ‘to follow’ horse Coulrophobia 200-1 looks like running today so we have taken him on at 55-1 for 6 places. 🙂 I know this thread is meant to consist of ‘safe bets’ and this selection has been well beaten in all his races to date, but he has run a very consistant low 9.30 speed ratings on all his three runs and that technically places him 5th today (assuming there are no hot newcomers).
