Well I knew that would be painful and I just chose the wrong horse, I had three horses to chose from one wins at 10-1 one places at 10-1 and one loses. Guess which one I used 🙁 But that is betting for you woulda, coulda, shoulda…lol.
This now take the balance back down to +112.45 but leaves the 12 point option open.

Its a tricky ask today as with the racing being abandoned at Wexford we have just the one runner which is
1.07 Aurea Fortune now 200-1 but is available at 23-1 for 10 places
This one was available at 80-1 but has drifted out to 200-1 this morning but this has given us a very tasty 24-1 for 10 places.

Well that was closer than I would have liked but Aurera Fortune placed ninth and they all count. This one at our 6 points each way (12 point bet) gave us a +22.80 point profit on the day which takes us back up to a not too shoddy +135.05 point running total but does mean the next bet will have to be a minimum of 13 points.
There is no Irish NH racing until Thursday but we will be back. 🙂

This may well be withdrawal symptoms due to no Irish Racing lately but we will be looking at one from the main thread over at Fairyhouse today. We will be looking to split the bet into the each way extras assuming he runs.
2.05 Boher Road currently 28-1 for 5 places but now available at 19-2 for 10 places and 21-2 for 9 places etc

It was all going so well….lol. I will admit to being quite sweet on Boher Road and approaching three out with just 1/2 mile to go he was 10 lengths up and travelling well. 🙂 Then for some reason he decided to jump across the fence through the wings exiting the track and crashing out, then getting up and jogging off. 🙁
Never mind it happens, but I must have done something really bad in a previous life to deserve that. We dropped 13 points on the day and now stand at +122.05 points but the 13 points option is still available.

We have a 13 point bet option but have used 14 points on the three mentioned last night in the Winning Post Tips thread.
3.40 Papa Barns @ 8-1 for 6 places
4.10 Gabriel Ranger @ 14-1 for 6 places
4.50 Jeronimo De L’ouch @ 9-2 for 6 places
We missed last nights early prices but its swings and roundabouts as some prices have gone up and some down. We will use them in an 1 point each way patent which totals 14 points.  🙂

We walked away with our first slapped arse of 2024 yesterday as we could not even get one in the frame and dropped 14 points which leaves us now on +108.05 and staring a 15 point bet in the face. 🙁
However yesterdays result was not really the downside as we expect to take a few slaps during the course of a year (it is impossible not too) but the killer for us was bet365 last week drastically reducing the prices on each way extra options. This has been our main source of income for quite a while and we were forced into yesterdays standard wager. It was not a disaster as three of our selections finished within two lengths of making the frame so it was not as bad as it first looked but the loss of the each way extra option will effect the way we bet.
With the bad weather back in and the likelihood of most of the weekends Irish NH racing being abandoned it means we are scratching for a bet but will give us time to regroup. 🙂

We will have to bump this thread with a bet and now looks a good opportunity so we will go with the following including an each way double over at Naas today.
1.30 Union Station @ 7-5 betting without Icare Desbois and Omniscient
3.15 Gabriel Ranger @ 7-2 betting without Three In A Row and Reve Inoui
We have to use our 15 point wager today so its two 5 point win singles and a 2.5 point each way double.

Well it could have been worse Union Station finished second to Icare Desbois so meant we had a win bet on our hands. But Gabriel Ranger although finishing fifth behind the favourite Three In A Row lost as Reve Inoui finshed behind him. This means we lost 3 points on the day and leaves us with decent enough balance of +105.05 but means we have to step up to a 16 point wager next time.

I will be looking at another punt on here this week over at Punchestown and if we can get an edge I will be looking at the selections from todays Winning Post Tips thread but will be splitting the bet again as we are now on the 16 point option.

We have had a look and decided to go in with all three but we have taken a safer approach as it is my pension we are talking about here. 🙂
2.30 Harsh @ 9-1 for 6 places (3 points each way)
3.05 Aero’s Luck @ 17-2 3 places but betting without Blizzard Of Oz and Answer To Kayf (3 points each way)
3.40 Zulu Mike now 100-1 but we have taken 11-1 for 7 places (1 point each way)
We have also gone with a 1 point each way double on Harsh and Aero’s Luck which takes us up to our 16 point wager for the day. 🙂

That went reasonably well we had a +32.40 profit from our 9-1 winner Harsh but obviously dropped 10 points on the other wagers but a +22.40 profit is a nice touch. 🙂 This now leaves us with a new balance of +127.45 but the next bet will have to be a minimum 17 point bet on the day.

I have got a couple of runners I am quite keen on today in the Winning Post Tips thread over at Wexford tonight.
7.30 Rockys Diamond @ 9-1 (3x points each way)
8.00 Tramps Like Us @ 20-1 for 4 places (4x points each way)
I will also go with a 1 1/2 point each way double to make up our 17 point bet option. 🙂

Well the pension fund is still intact as Tramps Like Us ran a blinder and a placed at 20-1 but Rockys Diamond let the side down. However the deposit on the rocking chair is still a possibility as we made +3 points on the day and now have +130.45 in the kitty. The bad news is its a minimum 18 point wager next time.
