Hi
Well I was due a wake up call and although the principle behind the bet was good (had Coulrophobia run another low 9.30 he would have finished 4th) he probably went off to fast and faded two out. π
This means we dropped 7 points and now drop back to +24.05 but can still use the 7 point option.21/02/2024 at 9:12 AM #16646MikeKeymasterHi
We have moved quickly on one of todays Winning Post Tips tips for our next wager which is Pax. We fancy this one but have played safe and taken the 16-1 for 10 places.21/02/2024 at 5:32 PM #16657MikeKeymasterHi
Pax placed fourth and by using up our 7 point option (at 3.5 points each way) gave us a return of 14.70 which left us with a nice enough +7.70 profit on the day. This means our current running total is now at +31.75 but the next bet has to be an 8 pointer.
The fun begins… π25/02/2024 at 12:50 PM #16712MikeKeymasterHi
I had two over at Naas last night taken from the Winning Post Tips thread to choose from and did not know which one to go for so with the way my luck has been going this weekend π I flipped a coin. π
It landed sideways π Its been one of those weeks Chris Gotterup was tied for seventh when he pulled out injured. Glen Kiln fell two out when vying for the lead and Wales conceded a try against a 14 man Ireland in the last minute to lose our handicap bet by one point. π
So we will take that as a hint and split todays bet between both and go 2 points each way which will use up our 8 point wager.
1.55 Bossofthebus 250-1 but we have taken the 40-1 for 10 places
3.55 Noble Birth @ 25-1 for 5 places25/02/2024 at 7:24 PM #16722MikeKeymasterHi
This betting game is strange old affair. I have had the worst run of luck over the last few days as mentioned in the previous post. Added to which I crashed out on the rival retirement plan in the Goalposts thread yesterday by missing just one of the ten options listed in the bet.
I then do two today the first one loses and I literally cannot be asked to watch the last race and Noble Birth romps home at 16-1 advised at 25-1.
This brings our running total to a very healthy looking +87.75 points but the next bet has to a minimum 9 point layout to keep the rolling maul going. There is nothing on the horizon until Thursday but we will be back. π26/02/2024 at 8:07 AM #16732ClarenceParticipantHey Mike well done π , that was a good shout with Noble birth π I did see your post and had a go at him myself ππ thanks for that, good luck with the next race you do π€
29/02/2024 at 9:45 AM #16765MikeKeymasterHi Suds
Thanks for the heads up (always appreciated) and nice to know you made a few bob as well. π You can repay the favour when the Club Rugby returns this weekend. π03/03/2024 at 9:25 AM #16846MikeKeymasterHi
We will be keeping a close eye out for non runners and market changes in the 2.15 at Leopardstown as we have a each way extra shout by way of Not My Problem in our sights. This one is being used in our standard Winning Post Tips thread and is currently trading at 100-1 but has drifted out from 33-1 so is no guaranteed runner. We can secure 19-1 for 9 places but would need the 9 places without to many deductions. So be careful of non runners which are usually declared by about 10.30 on a Sunday.03/03/2024 at 2:49 PM #16865MikeKeymasterHi
That was closer than I would have liked and although Not My Problem did finish 9th and only lost 8th by a neck I will admit to being quite sweet on this runner and had expected a better finish.
However 9th is what we needed and at the required 4.5 points each way (for our 9 point bet) with no deductions we cleared a +12.60 point profit which now leaves us on a running total of +100.35 points. π
As we are using the rolling maul type of bet the next bet will have to be 10 points (its getting near squeaky bum time). π05/03/2024 at 3:42 PM #16887MikeKeymasterHi
I will take another one from our Winning Post Tips thread which is not to difficult as most of them are non runners. π
It’s a risky punt especially as mistakes are costly at this stage of the rolling maul but here goes
4.40 Rodney @ 19-1 for 9 places
Rodney finished between Balally Park and Geronimo De Louch when they met a few months ago and Rodney has not really come on for the run but I still think he is the best value in the race today.05/03/2024 at 5:39 PM #16894MikeKeymasterHi
That hurt as it was a 10 point loss π but it had all been going too well lately. !
Rodney looked quite comfortabe until the seventh fence where he clouted it lost momentum and started to drop back through the field. The official result says he fell but I beleive he pulled up. :(This puts us back to +90.35 points in the kitty but still on a 10 point bet option.10/03/2024 at 12:40 PM #16965MikeKeymasterHi
We have sacrificed the Limerick meeting as we have so much to catch up on throughout the site especially with Cheltenham starting next week. But we will be using our 10 point bet here today by means of splitting the first part on our first two each way extras which are listed on the main Winning Post Tips thread over at Naas. If you are following the thread and it starts to get lucky we may well go in again dependent on how the first bets go. ?
1.07 Shraheen @ 22-1 for 10 places (2.5 points each way) = 5 points
2.17 Ragmans Corner @ 12-1 for 10 places (2.5 points each way) = 5 points
This uses all of our 10 point wager up and we see how these go before deciding to go with the third.
2.52 Warmer Days Ahead @ 16-1 for 10 places10/03/2024 at 2:46 PM #16985MikeKeymasterHi
The first two have both come in with Shraheen getting a cracking fourth place closely followed by Ragmans Corner staying on to grab eigth place after being hampered by fallers at the last fence.
1.07 Shraheen @ 22-1 for 10 places (2.5 points each way) = 5 points
2.17 Ragmans Corner @ 12-1 for 10 places (2.5 points each way) = 5 points
We picked up an +8.5 point profit on Shraheen and a +3.5 point profit on Ragmans Corner this leaves us with a tidy little profit of +12 points on the day and a running total of +112.35 for the thread.
This means our next bet has to be a minimum of 11 points the only option we have left is as mentioned Warmer Days Ahead which if it lost we would still be just over the 100 point mark so we just have to go for it.10/03/2024 at 7:55 PM #17000MikeKeymasterHi
I will admit that was squeaky bum time when Warmer Days Ahead jumped right at the last when in fifth but fortunately he actually picked up and ran to be fourth. π This means the next set of bets or bet must be a 12 point minimum stake (which adds to the fun) :(…lol
This gave us another +12.10 profit, add that to the other +12 points we picked up on Shraheen and Ragmans Corner in the earlier wagers and that brings the retirement pot to +124.45Β points.
There are unlikely to be anymore bets on here until the Irish Racing returns in a weeks time but I will obviously be having a look at the Festival races next week. -
