Hi
The last bet was worth a punt with only the one game going down
West Ham @ 4-6 Won
Rangers @ 15-8 Lost
Aston Villa @ 4-11 Won
Liverpool @ 2-7 Won
Brighton @ 8-11 Won
We will go back to our League 2 database today for the following
Accrington v Notts County Over 1 goal + Over 8 corners
Barrow v Harrogate Over 1 goal + Over 7 corners
Bradford v Mansfield Over 1 goal + Over 5 Corners + over 0 goal Mansfield
Colchester v Walsall Over 1 goal + Over 7 corners
Milton Keynes v Crewe Over 0 goal Milton Keynes + Over 1 goal + Over 7 corners
Wrexham v Tranmere Over 0 goals + Over 4 corners Wrexham + Over 8 corners
That’s a lot of typing for a 10.7-1 shot but the database is still on trial 🙂16/03/2024 at 10:06 PM #17116MikeKeymasterHi
That was a bit of a let down really as the Beat The Lotto , Suds..goes under the posts , and Winning Post Tips , threads all cleared a profit but unfortunately the Barrow game let us down here Barrow missing a penalty early doors probably killed this wager. 🙁
Accrington v Notts County Over 1 goal + Over 8 corners Won
Barrow v Harrogate Over 1 goal + Over 7 corners Lost
Bradford v Mansfield Over 1 goal + Over 5 Corners + over 0 goal Mansfield Won
Colchester v Walsall Over 1 goal + Over 7 corners Won
Milton Keynes v Crewe Over 0 goal Milton Keynes + Over 1 goal + Over 7 corners Won
Wrexham v Tranmere Over 0 goals + Over 4 corners Wrexham + Over 8 corners Won28/03/2024 at 4:23 PM #17184MikeKeymasterHi
We are trying a mixed rugby and football wager for tomorrow night
Zebre +14.5 to beat Dragons + under 49.5 points in the game @ 1-1
Leinster v Bulls Over 49.5 points + Leinster over 18.5 points + Bulls over 14.5 points + over 5.5 tries @ 21-20
Accrington v Morecambe Over 0 goals Morecambe + over 4 corners Accrington @ 10-11
Colchester v Doncaster Over 0 goals Colchester + over 4 corners Colchester @ 4-5
Crawley v Doncaster Over 1 goal + over 3 corners Crawley + over 2 corners Doncaster @ 4-5
Mk Dons v Walsall Over 0 goals MK Dons + over 9 corners in the game @ 1.04-1
Swindon v Notts County Over 0 gools Swindon + over 9 corners @ 0.87-1
Wrexham v Mansfield Over 0 goals Mansfield + over 9 corners @ 0.91-1
The accumulator comes to 185-1 but we will also go in with the odd five or sixfold as we all know what happens to acca’s.30/03/2024 at 9:09 AM #17211MikeKeymasterHi
We had the usual spread of winners and losers yesterday and at 185-1 this should maybe have gone onto a different thread but it has triggered a new idea using our rolling maul principle.
I have borrowed the Rugby database to try this one out and will use the following selections
Connacht +14.5 to beat Benetton + under 50.5 points in the game @ 10-11
Edinburgh +14.5 to beat Sharks + Under 56.5 points in the game + Sharks more penalties than tries in the game @ 8-5
Ospreys + 5.5 to beat Lions + Under 59.5 points in the game + more tries than penalties in the game @ 6-4
Ulster +19.5 to beat Stromers + Over 39.5 points in the game @ 8-11
Cardiff +24.5 to beat Munster + Under 64.5 points in the game + more tries than penalties in the game @ 8-11
Glasgow -2.5 points to beat Scarlets + over 33.5 points in the game + Glasgow more tries than penalties @ 8-11
The acca comes to 63-1 but more importantly we will try doubles to see if we sneak a profit to start a rolling maul over to the League 2 football on Monday.01/04/2024 at 8:11 AM #17227MikeKeymasterHi
That went realy well with us only missing out 1 of the 16 predictions coming in and a big heads up for Suds for helping me with the Rugby spreadsheet. 🙂
Connacht +14.5 to beat Benetton + under 50.5 points in the game @ 10-11 Won
Edinburgh +14.5 to beat Sharks + Under 56.5 points in the game + Sharks more penalties than tries in the game @ 8-5 Won
Ospreys + 5.5 to beat Lions + Under 59.5 points in the game + more tries than penalties in the game @ 6-4 Won
Ulster +19.5 to beat Stromers + Over 39.5 points in the game @ 8-11 (Lost)
Cardiff +24.5 to beat Munster + Under 64.5 points in the game + more tries than penalties in the game @ 8-11 Won
Glasgow -2.5 points to beat Scarlets + over 33.5 points in the game + Glasgow more tries than penalties @ 8-11 Won
This means we ended up with 30.45 point profit and only missed out on a bonus 63-1 acca by the smallest of margins. 🙁
But this gives us a total of 46.45 in the kitty to play with. 🙂
We had said we use the rolling maul wager to keep the interest going so here goes using the League 2 football today.
Mansfield v Accrington Over 1 goal in the game + Over 4 corners Mansfield + over 3 corners Accrington @ 8-5
Morecombe v Barrow Over o goals Morecombe + over 4 corners Barrow @ 6-5
Sutton v Swindon Over 0 Goals Sutton + Over 4 corners Sutton + over 2 corners Swindon @ 11-8
Tranmere v Colchester Over 0 goals Tranmere + Over 4 corners Tranmere + over 3 corners Colchester @ 8-5
These are a riskier proposition but we are attempting to keep the maul going so its doubles with the odd extras going onto to an acca.01/04/2024 at 6:07 PM #17238MikeKeymasterHi
After the disappointment of Boher Road doing a demoltion derby on the third last fence in the 2.05 at Fairyhouse it was nice to get a return here. 🙂
Mansfield v Accrington Over 1 goal in the game + Over 4 corners Mansfield + over 3 corners Accrington @ 8-5 Abandoned
Morecombe v Barrow Over 0 goals Morecombe + over 4 corners Barrow @ 6-5 Won
Sutton v Swindon Over 0 Goals Sutton + Over 4 corners Sutton + over 2 corners Swindon @ 11-8 (lost by one Swindon corner)
Tranmere v Colchester Over 0 goals Tranmere + Over 4 corners Tranmere + over 3 corners Colchester @ 8-5 Won
Including the abandonded game and bearing in mind we had to use a 19 point bet (as we always have to stake more than the last wager) our 6 x 3 point win doubles and 1 point acca returned +31.16 which is a tidy enough +12.16 point profit on the day.
We now have to use more than 19 points on the next bet but now have a running total of +58.61 to play with. The profit on the actual bet to date is actually +42.61 (when we deduct the intial stake used).05/04/2024 at 6:25 PM #17273MikeKeymasterHi
Here are tomorrows League 2 wagers and we will be going with 36x 1/2 point seven folds and a 1 point nine fold to make up our 19 point bet. 🙂
Mansfield v Crawley Over 0 goals Mansfield + over 4 corners Mansfield + over 2 corners Crawley @ 4-5
Morecambe v Doncaster Over 0 goals Morecambe + over 2 corners Doncaster @ 2-5
Sutton v Stockport Over 0 goals Sutton + over 3 corners Sutton + over 3 corners Sutton @ 11-5
Tranmere v Walsall Over 0 goals Tranmere + over 5 corners Tranmere + over 3 corners Walsall @ 5-2
Accrington v Crewe Over 0 goals in the game + over 5 corners Accrington + over 2 corners Crewe @ 13-10
Barrow v Swindon Over 0 goals in the game @ 1-25
Colchester v Wrexham Over 0 goals Colchester + over 3 corners Wrexham @ 8-13
Grimsby v Newport Over 0 goals Grimsby @ 1-6
Notts County v Harrogate Over 4 corners Notts County @ 1-408/04/2024 at 9:05 AM #17292MikeKeymasterHi
Absolutey gutted as apart from the Accrington v Crewe game we missed out by just a goal for Morecambe and the corners bet for Stockport which means we had 15 of the 19 predictions come in but still lost the bet. 🙁
But such is life and although we lost 19 points we still have enough left in the kitty for another bash. The bet would have to 20 points this time but we have +23.61 left so it look like sqeeky bum time as we go all in next weekend.12/04/2024 at 9:26 PM #17361MikeKeymasterHi
Sharks v Edinburgh @ 13-8
Edinburgh +16.5 to beat Sharks + Under 59.5 points in the game + Sharks more tries than penalties
Crawley v Colchester Over 0 goals + Over 3 corners Crawley + Over 3 corners Colchester @ 5-6
Harrowgate v Sutton Over 0 goals Harrowgate + Over 3 corners Harrogate + Over 3 corners Sutton @ 13-10
MK Dons v Mansfield Over 0 Golas MK Dons + Over 3 corners MK Dons + Over 3 corners Mansfiled @ 6-5
Walsall v Notts County Over 0 goals Walsall + Over 0 goals Nots County @ 4-7
Here is the goalposts part of a wager taken from our Beat The Lotto (£) thread that we are quite sweet on 🙂 so now we have given it the kiss of death we will post it on here. Either way at 33-1 its worth a punt.16/04/2024 at 12:52 PM #17393MikeKeymasterHi
The kiss of death never fails and we came up shy in the last wager. But we still have our all or nothing bet of +23.61 to use up and we have been waiting for tonight so its all in on the following three games.
Crawley v Barrow Over 0 goals in the game + Over 3 corners for both teams @ 10-11
Mansfield v Accrington Over 0 goals for Mansfield + over 4 corners Mansfield + over 2 corners Accrington @ 10-11
Notts County v Stockport Over 0 goals for Stockport + Over 1 goal in the game + Over 3 corners Notts County + Over 2 corners Stockport @ 20-23
This comes out at approximately 5.8-1 on the treble and we will go with 3x 5 point win doubles which leaves a 8.61 treble.
We will also introduce the idea of exchange betting which is something we have not touched on here before as it can be risky and also complicated ie Ridiculous Ideas for 2024. But as an example we have backed Leinster at 11-10 for this weekends Rugby and hope to lay the game later in the week. This is just something we want to try out and will explain it in greater detail later in the week.17/04/2024 at 10:54 AM #17424MikeKeymasterHi
Well it was a good run while it lasted but we are now back to square one as usual. 🙁 I have been asked again about why I use the “Rolling Maul” idea when placing my bets for the thread and the answer is simple we need to keep some interest in the threads. I may well personally use totally different amounts and wagers myself but for the thread we stick with the increasing stakes option (The Rolling Maul) as it attracts the most hits to the site.
This is just a fun site but with a serious side, but hopefully does give some insights into sports betting and also has had some notable touches (big priced winners) over the years. 🙂 I cannot believe we are already into our sixth year and the fact that I have made some good friends past and present through the site has been a bonus. 🙂 -
