I have left a lot of this thread active as it has gone a long way to showing you that the “Rolling Maul” is possibly one of the only logical ways to try and get a “Dream punt” home. 🙂
I am sure we will all be giving this a go in 2024 and I will be using the “Rolling Maul” principle on both of my new threads Mike’s Retirement Plan and Mike’s Pension Pot . Now there maybe several ways to play this style of bet out either by splitting your bet or just increasing your momentum by gradually increasing your stakes. It will be interesting to see how far someone can take it. 🙂

We have cleaned up most of the threads today with the exception of the main Winningposts thread which will take a while. 🙁

Well that went better than expected with all three bets coming in which were as follows
12.12 Cork The Dawn 29-1 for 10 places getting a return of +6.80 Profit +4.80
12.12 Cork The Dawn 35-1 for 9 places which got a return of +8 Profit +6
1.22 Cork Glen Kiln 33-4 for 5 places returning +2.65 Profit of +0.65
The Dawn ran on into sixth and although we had only taken him for nine and ten places we need to protect our bank when starting a new enterprise and are happy to have got off to a flyer. 🙂
This means are initial bank of 10 points now stands at 21.45 after the first day. 🙂
Tomorrow we head over to Naas to see if we can continue the run
2.35 Lake Manzaleh 250-1 but we will take the 35-1 for 10 places
Lake Manzaleh is another taken from our database but this is a trickier race so we will stick with the 1 point each way in the extra markets for tonight, but will keep an eye on any price movements during the morning.

Although we will probably be having limited contact with the LS site in 2024 🙁 the line remains and we will still donate a monthly contribution based on 1 point at SP for every winning runner in the line. Well return wise we wiped our nose today as Shana Cloon placed third and County Graduate came seventh when we needed sixth. 🙁  However the good news for our 4yo database is that of the five horse we listed as being of interest “Billy Lee Swagger,Shana Cloon,Verbal Sparring, Keeptellinumnutin and County Graduate”. Billy Lee Swagger won the race, Verbal Sparring was second and Shana Cloon finished fourth so we were pretty chuffed with that and will hope to improve on it next year. 🙂
Asa for tomorrow we have a few of interest but the markets are not all up yet so we will need to update the thread in the morning when the non runners have been declared etc etc.
Tramore 12.00 Lake Manzaleh 66-1 but we have taken 18-1 for 8 places
Fairyhouse 12.40 Lucky Two 100-1 but we have gone with 28-1 for 6 places
Fairyhouse 1.15 Custers Mistake @ 22-1 for 6 places
We may be using the following bets for a long shot accumulator for New Years Day in one form or another so these would have to be win bets usually without the favourites etc and we will update that option in the morning.

We were going to give today a miss but with so many of our 4yo hurdlers running in one race today we just had to give it a go. In the 3.15 at Punchestown we have Billy Lee Swagger,Shana Cloon,Verbal Sparring, Keeptellinumnutin and County Graduate all going but we have settled on
Shana Cloon @ 14-1 for 6 places
County Graduate @ 12-1 for 6 places
You could have got 28-1 last night on County Graduate but such is life when you step in and fear to tread  🙁
