MikeKeymasterHi
With no extra places available we were left with our original selections and a nice two they were. πCracklinrose was just headed and placed second at 16-1 but best of all was The Great White which won at 13-2 advised and taken at 15-2 last night.
This made us a very nice profit of over +11 points on the day. π
Unfortunately we have nothing of note on offer tonight as there are no Irish NH fixtures tomorrow but we will have a fresh look at the other meetings.
Initial thoughts are over at Market Rasen with the following two for a cheeky each way double
2.41 Caramelised @ 17-2 for 4 places
3.14 Mortlach @ 11-2 for 5 places
MikeKeymasterHi
Ned The Smith ended up a drifter and pulled up but remains in the list for later. Da Big Fella placed and stopped the rot but although Court Cian ran well he was never going to trouble the judge. Of the other two in the 7.30 Zoffanien won having been backed down to 5-2 favourite from 16-1.
Now obviously it would have been better having said it was key to watch the markets today that I could have updated the drift on Ned The Smith and the heavy support for Zoffanien but that is not possible if I am working. π That is one of the drawbacks of putting my thought’s online the night before but until I retire next year such is life.As for tomorrow we will be heading over to Kilbeggan with the following in mind.
7.00 Crackilnrose @ 14-1 for 5 places
8.00 The Great White @ 15-2 for 4 places
We will also be looking to get an each way extra on the following subject to the markets.
5.30 Doyen To Win 66-1
6.00 Sayitfirst 100-1
MikeKeymasterHi
We will go over to Killarney tomorrow and have a hatful of possibilities on offer and will go with the following options this evening.
6.30 Ned The Smith @ 22-1 for 6 places Ned The Smith is one of our horse to follow and although showing nothing of note to date, steps up in trip for his handicap debut and looks one to note in the betting.
7.00 Da Big Fella @ 7-1 for 6 places Da Big Fella is returning to the scene of the crime, runs well fresh and may have been laid out for this.
8.00 Court Cian @ 20-1 Court Cian has been improving with each run and has a very decent looking jockey booking for tomorrow’s run.
7.30 Either Elegant Lass @ 18-1 or Zoffanien @ 16-1 could be worth watching in the markets as both are capable, but have been under performing of late and any market move would be worth noting.
MikeKeymasterHi
Just one of those weekends again Supagirl 11-4 won France 6-5 (Mgame) came in HT/FT which means we just needed one more to start the trebles off. Then Victory Dance lost out by a short head in a battling finish both of the over 2 goals football matches had exactly 2 goals but had missed penalties etc and to top it off the reserve selection Speedicus 13-2 won but was never used.
Life is like that but with the lottery numbers missing out it was a score draw in the competition. Thanks again to Mgame, JoeH and Rob for sticking there necks out and putting a selection down. π
MikeKeymasterThanks Joe

Navan 3.22 Speedicus @ 13-2
MikeKeymasterHi
It was a good start to the afternoon when Hello Jumeirah won comfortably advised and taken at 5-1. However when it came to the long shot Woodstream Lad he ran ok but hurdled badly as was eased down along way out. It was a case of the right race as the first three home were priced up at 66-1 50-1 and 22-1 but wrong horse…lol. This means at best we wiped are nose today, but at least didn’t lose any money.
We have a few for Sunday but for tomorrow will concentrate on the beat the lotto thread.
MikeKeymasterHi
Just a quick update (as I am currently at work). Wassini Lad is a non runner and Bundle Of Dreams is available at 28-1 for 8 places. That one is a possible but with Woodstream Lad being offered in the each way extra markets we will take the following.
25-1 for 8 places
30-1 for 7 places
For the foolish such as I he is also available at 40-1 for 6 places.
MikeKeymasterHi
I finally have a couple of runners tomorrow which surprisingly (for me) includes a tip for the flat.
We will start there with Hello Jumeirah @ 5-1 who runs in the 4.00 at Ascot.
This one was a big fancy of mine at Haydock last week but ended up being a non runner. The same yard won that race quite comfortably with its other runner on the day and I beleive this one will gain compensation tomorrow.
For my next trick I will apologise now as I quite fancy Woodstream Lad @ 100-1 in the 5.50 at Kilbeggan. I would obviously recommend backing this one for extra places or at the very least bet without the favourite/s. This is a very weak race and apart from the favourite there is very little form on offer. The selection has just had a warm up run on the flat and although well beaten the form of that race has worked out well. They have gone with a decent jockey booking and the 100-1 looks overpriced.
Wassini Island 50-1 goes in the 5.35 at Cork and Bundle Of Dreams 150-1 goes in the 5.20 at Kilbeggan but both of these will definately be each way extra bets if we take them on.
I will update thread on the Irish runners lunchtime tomorrow. π
MikeKeymasterHi Joe
Thanks for that, and for all those that missed the last few posts on the main threads we will running a ‘Beat The Lotto’ competition this weekend. I know it’s bit early, but there is a bit of footie around especially as the Womens Euro’s will have started and we have a decent selection of Race meetings and some Rugby, Golf and Tennis available. π
The Rules are the same as the test competition in the previous posts. One selection per active member plus one lucky number (not 27 as JoeH has put that up).
You have to be in it to win it. You do need to make a selection that can be used in a multiple bet and that is being played or run over the weekend. If you have not signed up and/or been accepted by Friday the membership will be closing down, so do reply to any membership application replies that have or are been sent out a.s.a.p.Β π
MikeKeymasterHi
Runway Queen fell three out when still in contention, but would never have won the race. I will be keeping this one in the notebook though, especially when over the longer trip and not such a sharp track.
There is nothing of interest on this thread for me until Friday so I will be dabbling on the other threads until then. π
MikeKeymasterHi
Apologies for late update car problems and then Ask The Chimneys became a non runner so I decided not to have a punt at all today. Then bet365 offered 100-1 for 4 places on Runway Queen and being pathetically weak willed I took it. Runway Queen is not going to win this, but as she was running on last time out, over a shorter trip, she just might grab fourth if a couple of these do not run to form.
MikeKeymasterHi
Unfortunately I could not stay awake to watch the finish as old age does not come alone. π However I am glad to report that in the end Chris Gotterup finished a very creditable 4th which means all three of our bets returned a profit. π125-1 1/5 odds each way 8 places = profit of +24 points
75-1 1/5 odds each way 12 places (no cash out option) = profit of +14 points
100-1 1/5 odds each way 5 places first round leader = profit of +125 pointsThis makes a rather tasty return in total of +163 points. We try to avoid mentioning cash on this site and the returns here are calculated at a simple 1 point each way bet.
I am obviously on cloud nine as these are the bets you live for and combined with an decent shout on the Winning Post Tips thread at the weekend it has been a nice few days at the office. π
MikeKeymasterHi
It is getting interesting at the moment as with just a few holes to go our man Chris is now tied for third place which would bring both of our outstanding bets in for place money.Β π
However, should the front two leaders have a panic attack we are statistcally still in with a chance of a win.
Anyone fancy the 4,000-1 for that to happen. ???…lol. -
