MikeKeymasterHi
I will also have a dabble in the 5.05 at Galway but am struggling between two of the J P O’Brien runners Celestial Horizon and Prairie Dancer.
However as Priarie Dancer is not guaranteed a run I will try an each way punt on both as bet365 are offering a very generous 33-1 for 6 places on both runners.
MikeKeymasterHi
Apologies, as it may look as if I chickened out last night but the whole idea of the tips posted on the site is to stay in profit and if you look through the archived thread we have a near perfect record over the last four years.
Hence our comment in one of our recent posts
In the meantime I have been shooting for the stars betting on the Womens Euroβs and have slipped to a unhealthy deficit and will try and correct this during the finals next week. It would be easy just to wipe the slate clean but that is not the way we fly and this poor run was self inflicted. π
MikeKeymasterHi
We have our first worthwhile cash out option at +18.79 points on the 40-1 punt and we will take that as it brings the thread back into profit. π
MikeKeymasterHi
No joy with I Don’t Get It but for those who ventured on the other two Stormey placed 4th so would have stopped the day being a total loss.
There is only one for tomorrow which is back over at Galway. Although this one is the Mullins second string, it looks worth checking out. However beware this one is already a big drifter in the markets tonight.5.40 Feigh @ 40-1 for 6 places.
This one is only a 4yo but has already clocked a decent time and looks a possible improver.
MikeKeymasterHi
We will shotgun the England v Sweden game tonight to see if we cannot work a little bit of magic before we reset for the return of the football season.
Over 1.5 goals, 5+ England Women corners, 3+ Sweden Women corners and 10+ booking points each team @ 5/1
BTTS, 1+ corners each team in each half and 10+ booking points each team @ 9/2
The first two bets I am quite keen on although I know the odds are not great. But we have to try and turn this thread around before the weekend and our usual long shots are listed below. π
2+ shots on target each team in each half and each team 2+ corners in each half @ 40/1
BTTS in both halves, 2+ corners each team in each half and 20+ booking points each team @ 400/1
MikeKeymasterHi Rob
I have sent you a second e-mail (the first one did not get through) which hopefully will cure the glich.
Hi Boys and Girls
I will be switching over to goalposts thread for tonights England v Sweden game to see if I can get that one back on track (before we reset it for the football season). In the meantime for those that cannot resist a wager here were the ones I bypassed.
5.40 Galway Stormey 66-1 but availble @ 26-1 for 5 places
3.00 Goodwood Sir Lancelot 40-1 but available @ 23-1 for 6 places
Both of the above are either returning from a break or are considered too old but both have shown a bit of spark in the past and if either should be supported in the markets they could out run there odds. If I had to choose one Sir Lancelot is a previous winner of this race back in the day and might be the best option.
MikeKeymasterHi Joe
Sorry, Powerful Aggie did not do the business for you mate (I know you had a decent punt at the double) but I suspect the ground went against us with the going being declared ‘Soft’ by the 6.40. I believe Farout tried to go with the early pace and my selection could not cope with it. This led to Farout falling away in the final furlong and Powerful Aggie ended up running through tired horses and we met in the middle. π
As for today there is not much on for me but I will be back with an update lunchtime as I have my eye on a couple of each way extra’s at Galway and possibly one at Goodwood. I have no illusions about these ones winning but if the I can get edge I will put them up for midfield finishes.
5.10 at Galway I Don’t Get It 125-1 but 50-1 for 5 places is my only wager so far.
This one is out of his depth and this is a race where I am keen on the first three in the market as possible Cheltenham bets next year, but I am hopeful that the selection can slip an early lead and although will be swamped at the end may be able to cling on to fifth.
MikeKeymasterHi
We will be resetting this thread on the 1st August in time for the start of the premiership season and hopefully will have someone else involved by then. Should this not happen I am in discusion at work over going part time before retiring next year so hopefully will be able to dedicate a bit more time to the thread.Β π
In the meantime I have been shooting for the stars betting on the Womens Euro’s and have slipped to a unhealthy deficit and will try and correct this during the finals next week. It would be easy just to wipe the slate clean but that is not the way we fly and this poor run was self inflicted.Β π
MikeKeymasterHi
I am a little concerned over the ground at Galway tomorrow but even if it comes up soft this one should be there or thereabouts.
5.40 Darkened @ 7-1 for 6 places.
In the 6.40 I would certainly not go against Rob’s Farout but with 6 places on offer would also be looking to back either of the J P O’Brien yards runners.
Powerful Aggie @ 18-1 for 6 places is currently decared to run and this one now dropping back down to handicap company and should get involved.
The yard seem to have targeted this race and if for any reason Powerful Aggis does not run Celestial Horizon currently on offer at 12-1 is a very useful reserve waiting to get a run.
MikeKeymasterHi Rob
That was a tight finish with Dark Shift I thought he was going to get home as well. π
Nice to see the professionals back in the game, can I take a back seat now. πCracking day at the office Rob. !
MikeKeymasterHi
Wicklow Flyer managed to get fifth place so gave us a small return and for those who had best odds guaranteed (I did not π ) the selection finished at 22-1.
There were no moves on Bergentown and unsurprisingly it ran no sort of race but the point of exercise was to check out the ride given, as I will now be looking for claimers to follow as well as horses.
There will be nothing of note until the forthcoming Galway festival, so this particular thread may go on the quiet side for a few days.
MikeKeymasterHi
I am working again tomorrow but as we made a tidy little +14.40 profit today I will try and repeat exactly the same trick back at Limerick tomorrow with the following selection.
6.15 Wicklow Flyer @ 12-1 for 5 places
This one has been out out of sorts of late but hailing from a top yard with an interesting jockey booking, a decent looking mark and first time blinkers may be a worth a second glance.
I am always interested in a new jockey on the scene and it might be worth checking any market moves on Bergentown (also at Limerick) in the 7.15 currently 33-1 for 6 places.
MikeKeymasterThanks Joe
I must admit it was a puzzler watching the race but if you check out the earlier results (as I just did) Balinbaboola Steel’s jockey Danny Mullins, pulled the same trick on Cluan Dara in an earlier race. I just wish I had put that one up as well, unbelievably we have backed him before but I bypassed him tonight as Gold Creek and Well Joey were in the same race. π
MikeKeymasterHi
Dark Matter managed fifth so we get paid out for a place as both David Garrick and Vocito finished in front of the selection. Macaban City ran well for while but was badly tailed off so does not look like one to follow which means it was more or less a blank day profit/loss wise.
As for tomorrow we will throw in Balinaboola Steel in the 7.45 at Limerick @ 12-1 for 5 places.
With a view to the reset it has been a funny month with two of the last three days being totally blank days for the site veiwing wise which was the first time that has happened outside of lockdown. π But then again we had just under 400 hits six weeks ago just after the re-launch. ?
This begs the question as to whether or not to close down the membership and turn the site into a glorified blog with just a handful of existing members posting which appears to the trend. ? -
