MikeKeymasterHi
Well after the Lord Mayor’s show comes the dung cart and yesterday was that day. π
Imitation Game came close but the only other good thing was that due to non runners two of the bets became win singles only. But this still means we lost six points and now stand at +57.80 points up for the festival/month.
Unfortunately we do not have a lot on for today and will start the site revamp next week so the threads may go a little quiet after todays wagers.
Obviously both are at Punchestown and we have taken these two as each way singles.3.10 Anibale Fly @ 10-1 for 5 places
5.30 Heia @ 14-1 for 6 places
MikeKeymasterHi
These are the days you long forΒ πLilith won taken at 15-2 and Exit To The West placed at 25-1. Add this on to the previous winner and place from our earlier bets and we cleared a profit of +39.30 points today.Β π
This means going into the final two days of both the month and the Punchestown meeting we are now up by +63.80 points.
I am unfortuately working tomorrow so will not be able to savour the moment but obviously must have a punt to see if we cannot beat our record month. Obviously we are staying at Punchestown and with little chance for an update tomorrow I will list all my final selections tonight.3.40 Imitation Game @ 20-1 for 4 places
4.15 Grand Bornard @ 20-1 for 5 places
4.50 Rapid Response 40-1 but 18-1 betting without Elimay
5.25 Teahupoo @ 16-1 (but most likley to be a non runner)All the above for the purpose of the thread, are our new standard one point each way singles.
MikeKeymasterHi
I will admit I thought we may have gone a step too far by taking both the runners in the 6.00 but with A Great View winning taken at 25-1 and City Chief being placed taken at 13-2 we have had another cracking day at the office.
This means we have plenty of money in the pot so will take a punt on both of these in the 7.10
Lilith @ 15-2
Exit To The West @ 25-1
We have missed the boat with the prices here but up until the win in the last race we were not certain to even have a punt here earlier in the day. π
Obviously we have dropped That’s Lifebouy so watch that one go in as Karma…lol.
MikeKeymasterHi
We now have a possible option in the 7.10 but I will be home from work for that race. We will be looking at one of the following Lilith 17-2 That’s Lifebuoy 25-1 or Exit To The West 33-1. (However as there are only 4 places in the 7.10 we will be looking at only one in that race).
We have taken the plunge on both of the selections in the 6.00 and hope we have not taken a step to far today.?
MikeKeymasterHi
Skippin Court lost and Mr Moodance was a non runner yesterday so we ended up dropping a couple of points but we live to fight another day and are still well up.
We obviously remain at Punchestown and to start the day off we will go with the following3.40 Luke Short @ 15-2 for 7 places
4.50 Potters Corner @ 8-1 for 5 placesWe may go in again later dependent on non runnners with either or in the following
6.00 City Chief 13-2 and/or A Great View 25-1 both for 8 places
MikeKeymasterHi
Well after our lucky turn with the SP on Mighty Potter came the bad luck when Elegant Lass who was travelling really well in joint fourth just two out, clipped the heels of the horse in front stumbled and unseated the jockey.
But such is life Envoi Allen was third but obviously that was not good enough and although Michael’s Pick also dissapointed Jumping Susie did us proud with both the extra place bets coming in. For those who took the straight bet it was an even better return as Jumping Susie placed at 125-1.
We can only claim the extra place bets there but that still means we finished a very tidy +26.5 points up on the day.
This leaves us well up and with four more days of the festival to go we should manage to come out with a half decent profit. For tomorrow we have just the two selections both in the opening race at Punchestown
3.40 Skippin CourtΒ @ 66-1 for 6 places (taken tonight)
3.40 Mr Moondance 100-1 (but we will be looking into the extra place markets when they are available for our bet andf will update as soon as possible).
MikeKeymasterHi
With no signifcant non runners all bets are on and although I did stress all were each way bets it was really nice to see the first one win. π
I will be the first to admit I did only expect a place and with BOG on the the two five runner races it was the icing on the cake to have Mighty Potter drift in the market and payout at an SP of 20-1. πLets hope we can follow that up this afternoon with at the very least another place or two. ?
MikeKeymasterHi
We have now started to strip out a lot of the old threads with a view to kicking them in again when the revamp takes place, but will try and keep a few like this running for the time being. π
This week sees the Punchestown in full swing so we will offer a few each way options each day where possible and will update the thread this afternoon.4.15 Mighty Potter @ 9-1 (assuming all five go to post)
4.50 Elegant Lass @ 25-1 for 6 places
5.25 Envoi Allen @ 16-1 (assuming all five go to post)
6.00 Jumping Susie 80-1 but available at 45-1 for 8 places and 50-1 for 7 places
7.10 Michaels Pick @ 10-1 for 4 places
MikeKeymasterHi
We will be heading back to the Beat The Lotto Thread today but it was nice to see Robyndeglory grab sixth at 22-1 which at least kept the last few days honest by making us a +3.2 point profit on the day. π
MikeKeymasterHi
Nothing doing today as both ran unfortunately to form but such is life.
We will keep this thread alive just for fun over at Kilbeggan tomorrow then we will lay this thread back to rest and head back to the Beat The Lotto thread for the weekend.
There is not much to go on but Presenting Dylan in the 7.00 at 20-1 for 5 places looks worth a second glance. If this becomes a non runner or you fancy dipping your toe in the water elsewhere you could try Robyndeglory at 16-1 for 6 places in the 5.00. π
MikeKeymasterHi
It has been a while since we activated this thread but it will come back into play after a site revamp in the coming months but in a new format.
Any existing members (or new members on a trial basis) wishing to take a more active role please just drop me a line as usual. In the meantime, as I am on here, there are a couple of old favourites we have won on before who look overdue today at Kilbeggan. Both are returning to hurdles after unflattering efforts over fences and both look good value with both being available at generous prices for extra places.
5.45 Crimson Chief @ 16-1 for 5 places
6.15 Owl Creek Bridge @ 16-1 for 5 places
MikeKeymasterHi
As I am closing down the threads one by one for a revamp of the site (off season) I will finish this one by posting our top line this year which amazingly (points wise) closely matches last years best line.Line 2

Envoi Allen 26.20 points
Galopin Des Champs 39.52 points
Honeysuckle 132.25 points

MikeKeymasterHi
Well a disappointing finish to the festival with Falcon Eight ending up a non runner but at least that bought a return back on most of the outstanding ante post wagers. This also means instead of being wiped out today we had Mighty Stowaway placed at 33-1 (BOG) linked in with the non runner which avoided a last day disaster.
We will total our bets but the preliminary tally for our Cheltenham exploits will come out with a small but tidy enough profit for all the hard work we have put in.Β π
We obviously now have finished another thread off and once the Ten to Follow, Beat The Lotto threads and football season finish we will then re-vamp the site or change it over to a different social media platform.Β π
MikeKeymasterHi
What a day Sassy But Classy was brought down by another horse Finian Destruval ran on to be third (betting without Allaho) but does not count as there was a non runner Hardline pulled up and Lisnagar Oscar lost.
By now I am thinking why do I bother then we hit the 4.50 and as they run up the hill we have Love Envoi (tipped at 14-1) who we need to bring in all of our outstanding ante post wagers just beating Ahorsewithnoname who we tipped up on here last night and used on the 100-1 shots thread this morning. To round the race off Nurse Susan 20-1 the replacement for the wager for the switched thread horse Ahorsewithnoname also placed in the race. The only drawback was I nearly killed myself watching the race but it would have been a hell of a way to go.Β π
As you can imagine results like that do not come around very often but make it all worth while.
This means we have now had a return on two of our wagers of +22.42 points and +93 points and need Falcon Eight just to be placed to bring us in another tidy return tomorrow. π
With this in mind we will take another punt on the last day before we total all of our wagers up but we will finish with a profit no matter what happens.1.30 Knight Salute 20-1 (17-2 betting without Vauban and Pied Piper)
2.10 I like To Move It @ 19-2 (8 places)
2.50 Falcon Eight @ 25-1 (5 places)
4.10 Mighty Stowaway @ 25-1 (5 places)
5.30 Five O’Clock @ 16-1 (6 places) -
