MikeKeymasterHi
Well that was a disaster although we could have cashed out but it would not have been fair on those who could not use that option. So we will have to take our biggest ever loss in the the last five years of -10 points. 🙁 Of the 4 single bets placed all 4 horses pulled up and failed to finish the race. This was not surprising as over half the runners that did eventually run in the last few races over half pulled up. 🙁
We will leave this thread for a day or so until the weather and more importantly the ground settles and I can also pick up all of the toys that I threw out of the pram when I saw the storm move in. 🙂
MikeKeymasterHi
Watch your bets it is hammering down at Tramore and there may be some dodgy results tonight as the ground is already Soft (was Good lunchtime) and may go Soft to Heavy in places by the next race. 🙁
This could well be wasted day 🙁
The only real possibilities I can from this mornings suggestions would be Lily’s Choice in the 6.43 and Loup De Tallane in the 7.18 that is assuming they do not cancel the meeting as some fifteen horses have been declared as non runners in the last hour.
MikeKeymasterHi
The Beat The Lotto thread will be up and running this weekend so get your bets ready and don’t forget your lucky numbers. 🙂
MikeKeymasterHi
We will also throw in another couple of bets firstly another each way extra taken from Perfectway’s race as the selection is still drifting and is either as bad as they make out 🙁 or will end up a non runner…lol.
6.43 Dina Leen now 40-1 but we have taken 16-1 for 7 places
Secondly as it looks likely we are going to have a good day or spectacularly crash and burn we might as well go in with an each way accumulator on the last four options from this mornings post.
5.33 Ballybawn 10-1
6.08 Baby Chou (now 🙁 ) 16-1 5 places
6.43 Lily’s Choice (now 🙁 ) 14-1 4 places
7.18 Loup De Tallane 16-1 5 places
MikeKeymasterHi
We are quite keen on Perfectway in the 6.43 as an each way extra and have taken the 30-1 for 8 places for the site and on our Joes dream punt 🙂 thread, there are other prices such as 45-1 for 7 places etc etc which we may have dabbled with..lol.
For those who believe in miracles the 200-1 for 4 places with Sky bet might be worth a looong shot but don’t be surprised if he comes stone last. Of the others here are our todays other bets so far.
6.08 Queenie Newall @ 16-1 for 5 places
7.18 Inforapenny @ 15-2 for 5 places
MikeKeymasterHi
The original rolling maul which came unstuck with the United bet is now back on track to some extent after the England v Australia game and now stands as follows
Bet B = 8.12
Bet C = 3.25
I am now going to take a chance on a 200-1 shot over at Tramore for Bet C taken from our Reply To: Winning Post Tips thread but go with the following option
Perfectway but we are going in for 1.62 each way at 30-1 for 8 places
MikeKeymasterHi
We have quite an interest in tonights racing over at Tramore and will update the thread a little later in the day but early thoughts are with the following races at present.
5.33 Ballybawn 10-1 but betting without Doctor Brown Bear @ 9-2 looks favourite for Acca’s
6.08 Queenie Newall 16-1 for 5 places
6.08 Baby Chou 25-1 for 5 places
6.43 Lily’s Choice 16-1 for 4 places (sky)
6.43 Dina Leen 33-1 for 4 places (sky)
6.43 Perfectway 150-1 for 4 places (sky)
7.18 Loup De Tallane 16-1 for 5 places
7.18 Inforapenny 15-2 for 5 places
We will update the thread when the extra markets are published and we have finalised our list of wagers 🙂
MikeKeymasterHi Suds
I will be taking a punt on Baby Chou 25-1 in the 6.08 at Tramore for Bet B on our new joint venture.
But I have taken 23-2 for 8 places.
MikeKeymasterHi
Blue Reed and Man Oh Man both placed for us coming in 7th and 8th respectively which means we have turned another +5.6 profit on the day. If you also have a look over on our Computer tips (fun) thread it was a decent day over there as well and the threads are starting to look very promising. We will be back for tomorrow nights racing at Tramore and will post when we have something. 🙂
MikeKeymasterHi Suds
Well the original bet for both A and B were identical at 1.32 points so it does not matter which one you use and incredibly both of our selections were the same price and had the same return today.
Original bet 1 point @ 6-4 England v Australia +10% bet365 bonus = retrun of 2.65 split into 2 bets
Bet A 1.32 (Suds) 0.66 e/w Blue Reed 19-1 for 8 places = 3.10 points
Bet B 1.32 (Moi) 0.66 e/w Man Oh Man 19-1 for 8 places = 3.10 points
I have given you Bet A because…:) I would suggest you continue with Bet A but your next bet must use all of the 3.10 to win or 1.55 e/w and I will carry on with Bet B until one of us crashes out then we can either split the bet down again or roll with just the one bet. You are not restricted to single bets you can go with multiples if you wish as long as you use all off the 3.10 points in one go. 🙂
MikeKeymasterHi
We have a couple of late each way extras to consider in the 6.19 at Tramore.
Blue Reed 50-1 but we have taken 19-1 for 8 places
Man Oh Man also 50-1 but again we go with 19-1 for 8 places
MikeKeymasterHi Suds
Anyone can do these or join in as that was the original idea for the site.
Strangely with your selection I had got that race down to two each way extras, Blue Reed and Man Oh Man. We must have been singing from the same hymn sheet. 🤣 My preference was also Blue Reed but I will take Man Oh Man also at 19-1 for 8 places for my bet and also post it on the main thread.
MikeKeymasterHi
The penny has just dropped with me as to why a few members are getting confused with the rolling maul wager. Usually on this site we ignore the stake and just post the profit as that was the whole point on the daily threads. However on this thread the rolling maul is just a slow accumulator based around a 1 point start and the stake is always included when working out the next step. here is an example taken from our existing rolling maul which hopefully should clear things up a little.
Original stake 1 point on Cosmic Blizzard but each way, so we had 1/2 (0.5) point each way at 21/10
1/2 (0.5) point win lost
1/2 (0.5) place won which gave us a profit of 2.1
Now normally we would have just told you of the profit made on the bet and started again. But in this instance as it an accumulator we have included the original stake for our next bet. So we had a profit of 2.1 points plus the 0.5 of a point from the place part of the bet which gives us a total of 2.6 points.
We then split this into 2 bets A + B as experience has taught to be careful with large accumulators
Bet A = 1.3 points
Bet B = 1.3 points
We then continued betting on Bet A and B through the next week until we lost bet A on the Man united game 🙁 so we then split the remaining bet B which had reached 7 points into two giving us Bet B and Bet C which then had 3.5 points each. This brings you up to date with the last post today where we had placed our 3.5 points from Bet B on “Both teams to have a corner in both halves at 6-4 plus a 10% bonus with bet365″. This duly won so now leaves us in a tidy postion for our next phase of play.
Bet B = 3.5 points
Bet C = 10.06 points
The only real difference between our bet and a standard accumulator is that JoeH is a seat of the pants big hitter and does the accumulator in one go 🙂 and I am a cautious back seat passenger. 🙁
I named the bet the rolling maul as I am aiming to gain a few yards slowly to get me nearer the line before having a run at the defence whereas JoeH throws the ball along the line at pace. 🙂 -
