MikeKeymasterHi
You Played Well is a non runner today but I have managed to play a bit of catch up and have an option or two which are as follows.
Down Royal 11.40 Telnobody 200-1 but the 100-1 betting without Ivybrook and Air Of Entitlement looks a bit of fun.
Limerick 12.58 Shadow Paddy 100-1 but 14-1 for 9 looks the safest option
MikeKeymasterHi
I will fill in this weeks fun wager with the following win only selections done in trebles and a sixfold to match the ticket stakesDown Royal 12.48 St Denis’s Well @ 4-1
Aintree 1.05 Celtic Dino @ 6-1
Leopardstown 1.10 Naturally Nimble @ 5-1
Wetherby 1.35 Mr Incredible @ 16-1 without Cruz Control and Tahmuras
Leopardstown 1.45 Arch Enemy @ 7-1
Kempton 2.30 Banbridge @ 3-1 without both Spillanes Tower and Grey DawningYes we have taken a flyer here but its not as if its going to break the bank…lol.
MikeKeymasterHi
As we are venturing into new territory for 2025 on this thread we thought we would have a bit of fun as a last hurrah after all its xmas…lol.
So we will link you to our regular threads (most still being trialed) but if you can cherry pick from them you might get lucky. Finally we will include a blast from the past by posting our top “boxing day bangers” which always used to be used in each way doubles and an acca.
Plus our strange bet of the day which this year is Mr Incredible in the 1.35 at Wetherby who is just as likely to refuse to race bite something or throw the jockey off just for fun. This one ideally wants further Henry De Bromhead and Willie Mullins have both given up on him due to him being an alphabet horse BD, RR, UR, PU etc etc but if you like the film Miracle on 34th Street then at 25-1 he’s your Santa…lol
The more sensible wager is the following
Down Royal 12.48 St Denis’s Well @ 9-2 for 6 places
Leopardstown 1.45 Arch Enemy @ 7-1 for 6 places
Kempton 2.30 Banbridge @ 5-1 for 4 places
MikeKeymasterHi
We have an interesting situation in that with there being a shed load of racing being on tomorrow, methinks we will plan a bit of fun with this thread. Suds and I have a ticket running from Saturday using the numbers listed in the last post but we will recycle our normal numbers for tonight’s draw and invite active members to pick there best selection for tomorrows racing before 9pm tonight.
A one 1/7 share of any winnings from tonight’s 4,7,16,23,31 and 50 lotto ticket along with our usual corresponding site wager goes to every active member who just places a selection.
Enjoy and lets get lucky. 🙂
MikeKeymasterHi Suds
I am going to add another 3yo in from the sheets over at Limerick alongside Set the Tone
12.25 You Played Well (reserve at present) 150-1 but obviously I would be looking for an extra places price for this one.
I will update this thread later today when I have done a bit of catching up as the last post as not a great shout 🙁 but in my defense I had just come out of hospital after the ticker gave out at the start of December and many thanks to the surgeons and staff at Morriston Hospital for getting me home for the boxing day racing.
The first close finish will test how the surgery went….lol. 🙂
MikeKeymasterHi
The 15-1 for 8 places would have saved the day on option B for Baika last time out but once again Katiera a short head 5th when 4th was required seems to be the rub of the green for the thread lately but such is life and are hoping for a change of luck tomorrow.Fontwell 11.57 Karakoy @ 10-1 3 places
Wetherby 12.27 Bravethewaves @ 10-1 for 3 places (bet365 although only 7 runners looks good)
Down Royal 12.48 Adare Beauty @ 33-1 for 6 places
Fontwell 1.07 Coup De Gold @ 10-1 for 3 places (bet365 although only 6 runners)
Wincanton 3.13 Bring The Action @ 25-1 for 3 places
Wetherby 3.20 Lillistar @ 33-1 for 4 places (Paddy Power)
Market Rasen 3.32 Cawthorne Banker @ 33-1 for 3 places
Wolverhampton 4.35 Flag Of St George @ 16-1 for 4 places
Wolverhampton 5.40 Aspire To Glory @ 16-1 for 4 placesThere are not many each way extra options available but with the extra places as listed above I am confident Hopefull “will get some in” on boxing day and would take this opportunity to thank him and Suds for sticking there heads above the trenches and posting especially over the last month when I have been temporarily out of action.
MikeKeymasterHi
Due to being out of action (hospitalised) at the start of the month I have not updated this thread and will attempt to get to it before the boxing day fixtures but if not will give a full update at the the end of the month.
MikeKeymasterHi
Not a weekend to remember with the Liverpool game @ 6-4 being the only winner as although the Ospreys won they did not meet the handicap criteria. However at present as it stands it is another no score draw (competition wise) as although the lotto numbers did win a lucky dip the ticket has yet to provide a return.
But should the lucky dip numbers 1,14,20,24,30 and 44 win a few million (x-mas day) I am sure myself and Suds (this weeks players) would not complain…lol.
MikeKeymasterHi
That was another fair day with one non runner and Taras Halls placing second and if you had the 6-1 available with BOG last night you would turned a small profit. As for tomorrows selections unless Hopefull has any different options here are our the choices.Hereford 12.28 Baika @ 40-1 for 5 places but option B is 15-1 for 8 places
Ascot 2.25 Kateira @ 10-1 for 4 places
Ascot 3.00 Flegmatik @ 10-1
Newcastle 3.10 Bamboo Bay @ 25-1 for 4 places
MikeKeymasterHi
We are having one last dabble before the boxing day bonanza and it will be at Thurles tomorrow1.20 Cutthtewire @ 11-1
2.30 Wajaaha @ 33-1 for 5 places
3.05 Takt De Touques @ 9-1We will be looking for a each way extra on A Family Affair if or when the prices become available.
MikeKeymasterHi
Here are (hopefully) this weeks Xmas crackersOspreys -6 to beat Scarlets @ 10-11
Ascot 3.35 Kabral Du Mathan @ 7-2
Thurles 1.20 Magic Day @ 5-4
Man City to beat Aston Villa @ 23-20
Brentford to beat Notts Forest @ 13-10
Liverpool to beat Tottenham plus BTTS @ 6-4The Lottery Numbers will be the usual 4,7,16,23,31 and 50
MikeKeymasterHi
Nothing of note today but with Blind Beggar placing 5th (on the option bet) it would have been three placed out of four yesterday so it look like there may be a light at the end of the tunnel. Lets hope it’s not a train coming the other way…lol.
MikeKeymasterHi
Apologies for late post but had a minor setback and spent most of the day sleeping..lol. But I can see that “Hopefull” has already had two places and Lazy Sunday 12-1 had looked like a winner until late on when going down by less than a length. He then followed up with Haliphon who was best priced 18-1 when I got to it (but I believe was bigger this morning) so another good shout there. There is one more to go Blind Beggar and this looks the trickiest race of the day and although 40-1 in places for 3, 15-1 for 5 would be my best option.
MikeKeymasterHi
I will stick my twopenneth back in today as although Hopefull has posted Dees Dream available at 33-1 for 4 places at present I will confess my knowledge of the AW would not be my specialist subject on mastermind.
However from a list of possibilities sent to me last night there were two which I deemed of interest and one of them ties in nicely with a post on the Speed Ratings Irish Hurdlers thread we have been dabbling with.
Wincanton 2.45 Gold Link 18-1 but the 23-2 for 4 looks worth a dabble as this one is dropping back in grade and trip and could be worth a check in the markets later.
Catterick 3.00 Pittsburg 28-1 This one is low grade plodder but is a course and distance winner who has dropped back to a winning mark. This race is winnable and its these low grade races that usually produce the shock results. The 14-1 for 5 places looks worth a punt and for the glory hunters the 18-1 for 4 places is a viable additional option. -
