I think I have been a bit remiss here as I have just had an e-mail chat with Hopefull and he was asking whether the thread was back in profit as we had a bit of hard time a while back. I say remiss as I have not had the time to go back through all the figures or keeping a running total as it was initially a trial thread but the thread is now well up profit wise and here is a quick summary of this month +8.6, +5.6, +5.5, – 4, +11.11, -6, +10.04 and + 35.48 = +65.18 (which is an incredible achievement).
The thread was a slow starter and has had its blips but is now a proven winner as far as we are concerned and it will be interesting to see how far it goes with Cheltenham around the corner as that meeting is notorious for upsetting the apple cart.

Well if yesterday was a good day at the office for Hopefull’s thread today was a cracker. The “Rolling Maul” wager had two winners and came out with a +4.88 profit. The icing on the cake however was Love Your Work winning at 25-1 in the last bet of the day. This turned the “Each Way” section of the selections into a +30.6 point profit making a +35.48 point profit on the day.

We have placed quite a few reasonably sensible wagers on the threads such as Speed Ratings Irish Hurdlers , Hopefull’s (hard work) & Ridiculous Ideas for 2025 but have been asked to put a few fun wild card wagers up and these are the best we can come up with today that have not been used on the above mentioned threads. These selections have had input from both Suds and Hopefull who rarely post on the main thread but it can be a daunting task so if they lose it’s my fault for posting them but if they run well its down to the team…lol.

Even though unbelievably “That’ll Do Moss” lost (eventual SP 1-10) by using the Rolling Maul it rather played into our hands and made for a good day at the office for Hopefull yesterday. The Maul made a profit of albeit only a point or so due to rule 4 deductions on the 7.30 at Dundalk but the each way wagers made a +10.4 point profit due to Nobody’s Perfect winning taken at 12-1.

After Tremaine lost the other day we were getting close to the bread line on the thread and after Jaz Forever and Miss Mini Bee lost and Alright Darling scraped a place we are once again staring down both barrels of the gun at only +3.5 points up. Yesterday was a prefect example of why its nearly impossible to make a profit everyday. Chuzzlewhit without the favourites would have been a winner but the favourites flipped over after we had placed the bet. The point being that to do this with purpose you really have to be available right up to half an hour before each race to watch for market moves. But such is life and here are todays prices.

A profit everyday ? now that is the “Holy Grail” but the way your going I would not bet against it…lol.
If you could make a profit every week it would be amazing we set a target of a monthly profit on the site which we have managed but I will admit that has been a struggle sometimes.
