I think living to fight anaother day was the name of the game last week. 🙁
Both of my last two selections failed to complete with one even managing to stumble and ship the jockey on the flat (hope jockey is ok looked a nasty fall).
I am not that confident at present but will be taking a look at the following tomorrow at Downpatrick.

1.50 Keep D Change 25-1
2.20 Ask The Leader 12-1 and/or I Don’t Get It 8-1

I would be looking for extra places or similar before placing a bet though.

Well isn’t racing just like that we all draw a blank yesterday and as for my selection I was quietly confident and then Open The Gate duly ploughed through the first hurdle and then unshipped the jockey at the second. Someday’s you just wished you had taken up golf instead…lol.
I have just the one today which is First Quest @ 9-1 in the 6.10 at Cartmel.
This one fell at the first last time out but won this race last year is running off a decent mark and most importantly has a very promising 10lb claimer on board who has a cracking record for the yard to date.

Open The Gate is a poor price without the favourite/s so I will go with 9-1 for 7 places and 21-10 for 6 places.

I will look into the St Leger when I have a bit of time ie I have this weekend off  🙂
But as for tomorrow Haveyoumissedme looks a really solid each way shout at 5 places.
I still do not have much to go on but I will try and get a price on Open The Gate (betting without the favourite/s) in the 6.25 at Down Royal tomorrow.

Vermillion Cliffs grabbed 9th place which meant a disaster was avoided but as Ask The Leader never got involved we still dropped nearly 4 points on the day. 🙁
Unfortunately there is no Irish NH racing this week with the exception of Down Royal on Thursday, so it may go a little quiet on this thread for a few days.

Well it was close to be that elusive winner but not a bad second place at 25-1.  🙂
Both of todays bets came in with Mustammet Secret also grabbing 7th which meant we returned a decent enough +7.40 point profit on the day.  🙂
As for tomorrow I have a problem todays selection Grangelare Native is declared to run in the 4.40 at Bellewstown tomorrow and has already being backed down form 20-1 to 14-1. Unfortunately I am going to go against this and plump for Vermillion Cliffs in the same race.You can still get 20-1 for 4 places if you shop around but the 11-1 for 9 places and 13-1 for 8 places looks nailed on.
In the 6.15 I like the look of Ask The Leader 20-1 but as with the above I will go with the same wager 11-1 for 9 places and 13-1 for 8 places.

Despite waiting until gone 12 Bet365 did not post any each way extra prices on our race at Killarney which made Roman Parish a non starter. Bashrikova looked under pressure from the off and lost out but Summerghand saved the day by winning at 15-2 (advised at 7-1) so left us with a decent enough +6.4 point profit on the day. 🙂
We unfortunately do not have a bet for tomorrow but possibly there will be one for Monday. ?

Tell me about it 🙁 We have won placed and had an each way extra on Crimson Chief over the last three years but I honestly did not see that one coming today.
I have a couple of flat fancies at York tomorrow which is rare and one at Killarney.
Killarney 2.45 Roman Parish @ 40-1 for 5 places
Roman Parish is probabaly one for an each way extra when the markets are published but as this is his handicap debut he might just surprise a few.
York 1.50 Bashrikova @ 10-1 for 3 places
York 4.10 Summerghand @ 7-1 for 6 places
Bashrikova has the form but is up against two unproven strongly fancied youngsters who could be anything, but I like what I have seen of the selection so far.
Summerghand was unlucky with the draw last week and if still fresh enough could make amends tomorrow.

We have had to be pretty selective tomorrow and have settled for the following at Kilbeggan.
5.35 Run Like Fada  @ 25-1 for 5 places bet 365
6.10 Keep D Change 100-1 but we have taken the 30-1 for 7 places bet 365
6.45 Humps And Bumps @ 25-1 for 5 places Sky Bet
Run Like Fada in first time blinkers looks a decent shout in a poor race, Keep D Change looks overpriced and the brave can also consider 45-1 for 6 places. Humps And Bumps is very interesting having had a prep run for this and we are hopeful of a decent run here.

Go Large never really got going and pulled up before getting involved, so will be bypassed for now. 🙁
Kilashee led most of the way round but kept jumping left which eventually took its toll and she was swamped approaching the final fence and eventually finished 6th. I Don’t Get It however took a massive early lead and was still in contention at the final fence but faded into a place. This means although we got a return we still dropped a couple of points on the day. 🙁
We have nothing for tomorrow except the golf wager at present on the Other Sports thread but we do have a couple of meetings to get our teeth into on Friday. 🙂

We will be taking a punt at the following selections at Sligo tomorrow
5.55 Kilashee @ 16-1 for 4 places
Kilashee has dropped to winning mark is stepping back to her best trip and looks overpriced.
7.00 Go Large 50-1 but we will take the 23-1 for 7 places
Go Large is capable enough to win a weak race someday but mid division or better looks the bet for tomorrow.
8.00 I Don’t Get It @ 14-1 for 4 places
I Don’t Get It had been raced to a standstill of late,  but now having been give a short break is usually competitive and could get involved at a decent price.

Whilst I just know I am going to regret this as we are only waiting for Palace to get one shot on target and one corner to complete both bets (against a ten man Liverpool) but if we cash out now we can grab a +30.17 point profit. This would turn the thread from a small deficit to a decent profit and we just have to take the offer. 🙁

We have a cash out option on both bets at half time which would put us back in profit for the thread. But as (incredibly) it is Crystal Palace that are leading we will run with the bets as they stand for at least the first part of the second half.
I really don’t get the way the games are going lately, but it is enjoyable to watch.  🙂

I have been ploughing through the markets for tonights Liverpool v Crystal Palace game and can see a standout bet which we just have to take on.
1+ shot on target each team in each half, each team 1+ corners in each half and each team 10+ booking pts @ 11/2
We will bypass the usual long shot bet bet as corner kicks will be hard to come by but how about this one with sky bet.
Diaz & Zaha each 2+ shots on target, each team 3+ corners and each team 20+ booking pts @ 150/1
We will need the game to get naughty but Zaha has a short fuse and a booking while celebrating might help and a sending off late on either way would not go amiss.
