MikeKeymasterHi
As you will have noticed exactly the same situation is occuring in that in each 10 fold bet placed, Joe will do just above average in getting 5 selections in. This corresponds with the previous few bets bearing in mind the average is approx 4.5 bets in every 10 at approximate odds of 1-1.
The reason behind this I believe is that you can only bet an accumulator of above three selections as trebles unless you use the sites pre set bets. If you attempt to use ie bet builders you will be restricted to trebles or less in some cases.
So tonight we will use a bet of our own to see what would happen, only we will revert to a higher 5 point stake with a view to doubling up on our next bet.
Fulham v Aston Villa (30+ booking points + Over 1.5 goals + Mitrovic 1+ shot on target) @ 10-11
MikeKeymasterHi
At long last we are back racing and here are our selections for Thurles tomorrow.3.10 Pulsating 100-1 but we are going with 21-1 for 10 places and 27-1 for 9 places.
3.45 Ucandoit @ 25-1 for 5 places Sky bet.Apologies for the late edit but as several people pointed out it is always best to put the name of the horse down you are backing…lol. Old age does not come alone, π but in fairness I was distracted working on a new bet for the weekend involving the competitions threads. π
You will also notice there are slightly revised prices on the each way extra markets for Pulsating as they had changed by the time we got around to placing the bet.
MikeKeymasterHi
I do wish I hadn’t said anything about the 25% losses… lol. I have just tuned in to find Palace losing 1-0 and to find that Brighton have had 15 attempts on goal 67% possession and 7 corners but can’t score. I think it’s time for bed and back to the horses on Thursday….lol.
MikeKeymasterHi
With no NH racing on offer in Ireland until Thursday I have devoted a bit of time to this new (fun) thread.
As previously mentioned I have no expectations of getting a full accumulator in but am finding it a bit of fun dabbling with the maths side of things to see where the break even point comes in and to find out whether or not it would be possible to get a return on such a bet.
I will stick to the Premiership as there are more statistics readily available. πBrighton v Nottingham Forest Brighton to win @ 4-11
Crystal Palace v Wolves Crystal Palace to win @ 6-5
Bournemouth v Southampton BTTS @ 8-11
Brentford v Chelsea BTTS @ 8-11
Liverpool v West Ham BTTS @ 4-6
Man United v Tottenham BTTS @ 8-15
Fulham v Aston Villa Fulham to win @ 9-5
Leicester City v Leeds BTTS @ 8-15
Liverpool v Nottingham Forest Liverpool to win + Over 3.5 goals @ 11-8
Man City v Brighton Man City to win + 2.5 goals @ 4-7
Everton v Crystal Palace BTTS @ 4-5
Chelsea v Man United BTTS @ 8-13Now I believe the cut off point here at the odds taken would be to take the 220x 9 folds on offer which gives you a 25% margin of error (losing bets) without losing your shirt. π
MikeKeymasterHi
Although as suspected both lines lost out, both had 4 winners from 10 bets which is about average (dependent on the odds of the individual wager). It was not as bad as I thought and having cut my teeth on the idea. I will have another go this week (only in somewhat of a different format). I am still working on the details but will post something by Tuesday. π
MikeKeymasterHi
Alpesh Amin ended up being a non runner and we have very little on the horizon for this thread until Thurles on Thursday later this week.
However at the halfway stage we are well in profit for the month now being +33.80 points up so will end up having aother succesful month which is a nice position to be in.Β π
MikeKeymasterHi
I have had a request to post a wager today but there is not much about, but over at Cork you could try…
1.50 Alpesh Amin 25-1 but 16-1 for 5 places looks best as there are no odds available bettng without the favourite’s at present. π Angelsworknovertime 40-1 is one to follow but this race is a tough ask for either horse to able to get involved.
MikeKeymasterHi
As the interest in this has dried right π up we will switch over to the new competition Joe’s dream punt π which we are trying for the first time this weekend. π
MikeKeymasterHi
Well last nights first game of my ten was a perfect example of why you should only play big accumulators for fun. Brentford scored twice and all we needed was one goal for Brighton who had 21 attempts on goal 10 were blocked 7 were on target and only 4 off target but…:(.
This leaves me with a feeling of impending doom for the rest of the selections but on a more positive note I have had an idea on linking this type of bet to theΒ Reply To: Beat The Lotto (Β£) thread as the interest in that has dried right up. π
It will not happen immediately, but I have just told work that I will going part time as of November which will give me a bit more time to work on the site (which after all has always been my retirement plan). π
Best of luck to Joe all of his ten are yet to play. π
MikeKeymasterHi
JoeH has sent me a list of 10 selections which are as follows.
Watford v Norwich BTTS 8-11
MK Dons v Plymouth Plymouth win 5-4
Gillingham v Stevenage Stevenage win 10-11
Salford v Bradford BTTS 8-11
Accrington v Derby Over 1.5 goals 1-4
Cardiff v Coventry Over 1.5 goals 4-11
Wycombe v Peterborough Clarke Harris 13-8
Sunderland v Wigan BTTS 5-6
Leyton Orient v Northampton BTTS 5-6
Blyth Spartans v Wrexham Over 2.5 goals 1-2
This in addition to my ten would obviously would make the 20 bets required but I lack Joe’s faith. I will update the possibilities of any options if I get a chance tonight.
Best of luck Joe π
MikeKeymasterHi
With a few minutes to go it had become obvious to me that our first line Alpha is going to crash and burn on bet 2. Which does not bode well for our first full attempt this weekend and you can now see why I nicknamed it the suicide bet. π But here goes….Brentford v Brighton Both teams to score @ 4-6
Leicester v Crystal Palace Over 2.5 goals @ 4-5
Fulham v Bournmouth Bournmouth to win or draw @ 10-11
Wolves v Nottingham Forest Wolves to win @ 7-10
Tottenham v Everton Over 2.5 goals @ 8-11
Aston Villa v Chelsea Chelsea to win @ 3-4
Leeds v Arsenal Arsenal to win + Both teams to score @ 2-1
Man United v Newcastle Newcastle to win or draw @ 5-6
Southampton v West Ham West Ham to win @ 11-8
Liverpool v Man City Man City to win + Over 2.5 goals @ 11-8Now the 10 fold accumulator comes to 912-1 but as pointed out this is the long shot so at minimum stakes we have gone for 120x 10p 7 fold accumulators which if we are lucky enough to get 7 in will get us a small return and hopefully break even. Anything above that and we should be in profit but don’t hold your breath just getting 7 of these in would be a result first time out. π
For those wondering what happens if they all come in the return on your 120x 10p 7 folds would be Β£1,472.95p and an additional alternative bet to backing the full 10 fold accumulator would be 10x 10p 9 fold accumulators which if all ten bets come in would return you a total of Β£469.19p but once again if any nine come in you still get a small profit.I have one line of our side slow burn accumulator to go so I might as well get my face well and truly slapped on the day by throwing in our Beta line with the following bet.
Fulham v Bournmouth Both teams to score @ 4-6
Liverpool v Man City Both teams to score @ 2-5
These will be used in a double at 1.33-1. The stake is (the other half of bet 1 which is) 1.2 points.
MikeKeymasterHi
Ouch… that was close as Siberian Star couldn’t quite catch the winner and stable companion losing by neck but such is life at least we got a nice return on the day. Therefore although Cherisheverymoment ran no sort of race we still ended up with a +3.6 point profit on the day. π
We will however not be back on here for a few days whilst I concentrate on the football at the weekend. π
MikeKeymasterHi
I am not sure if I will be back before tonight’s kick off so will post the following bet on behalf of our first slow burn accumulator. Remember we are using half the returns from bet 1.
Bodo /Glimpt v Arsenal BTTS 8-13
Qarabag v Olypmiakos BTTS 8-11
These will used in a double at 1.79-1 The stake is 1.2 points (half return from original bet).
We will tag this bet as bet 2 Alpha.
MikeKeymasterHi
Last nights banker bet double came in so we will be now looking to split the stakes.
Napoli v Ajax both teams to score @ 4-9
Rangers v Liverpool both teams to score @ 4-6
These will be used tonight in a double at 1.41-1
The idea is now to get two slow burn accumulators going obviously using different bets on each one as we know at sometime we are going to get a deal breaking loser along the way. The idea is that if we can keep at least one of the bets going you should the wager slowly building up. The other advantage is that by only backing one or two bets each time we have less chance of screwing it up. π
I will see if I can find a bet for tonight for at least one of the bets.
I will also tonight post my final selections for our first attempt at the suicide accumulator on Saturday (I just know this one is going hurt)…lol. -
