MikeKeymasterHi
As usual the basketball threw up a few surprises and with the Spurs turning over the Pacers it has brought Sudsie’s run to an end. It’s a tough thread and although both my bets are still running the writing is obviously on the wall, as this will be the first time we have hit the four point phase of the maul.
I now have two bets both at +4.16 points and will post tonights bets when I come home from work. π
MikeKeymasterHi
Lough Na Fouey ran a stinker and was in the last two all the way round but Like Ma Ta did us proud by finishing 6th for a +5 point profit which leaves us +3 points up on the day.Β π
There is nothing for tomorrow but we should have something for the weekend if the weather holds off.
MikeKeymasterHi Suds
Thanks, but we all know what comes after the Lord Mayor’s Show…The Dung Cart…lol.
Here comes that cart with both bets at 2.18 pointsBet 1. SA Spurs v IND Pacers 1st quarter under 61.5 points @ 10-11
Bet 2. GS Warriors +3.5 to beat the LA Clippers @ 10-11Best of luck Suds, lets hope one of us can go on to tomorrow night. π
MikeKeymasterHi
Lough Na Fouey has drifted out this morning but we have best odds guaranteed with bet365. π
As for Like Ma Ta 125-1 we have taken 30-1 for 10 places
MikeKeymasterHi
Suds (Clarence) had another win with the Trail Blazers last night and only missed out by 2 points on the second wager, which means Sudsie’s next bet will be a 2 point all or nothing. I had a change of luck and my treble came in which leaves me on +4.36 and I will be splitting my wager into two 2.18 point bets tonight.
MikeKeymasterHi Suds
Well I will be no competition to anyone after last night…lol. π
But I will start off again with my starting stake of 1 point in a cheeky 3.37-1 treble to see if I can get off to a flyer.
MIA Heat v PHI 76ers Over 55 points 1st quarter @ 10-11
MEM Grizzlies v HOU Rockets Over 55 points 1st quarter @ 10-11
Mem Grizzlies to beat Hou Rockets @ 1-5
MikeKeymasterHi
We will start this month off with a couple over at Clonmel tomorrow.
3.50 Lough Na Fouey @ 20-1 for 5 places
4.25 Like Ta Ma 125-1 (but we will be looking for an each way extra price in the morning)
MikeKeymasterHi
This thread is a bit like playing ‘Snakes and Ladders’ just as you start getting somewhere you end up back at the start. π Of all the basketball bets to date I was never more confident than of last nights and was already planning my two pronged 4+ point bet attack for tonight and then the only quarter the Bucks lost was the first…lol.Β However with the Trail Blazers 1st quarter win the spotlight now falls on Suds who is now on +1.95 and can split the bet first time up. I will have to go back to the start and go in again on 1 point as would RKay if he is not on Jury Service..lol.
I did have a question put to me over this thread and theΒ Beat The Lotto (Β£) thread as to why we do the bets this way and the simple reply is, it is just a bit of fun. How you back these suggested bets is up to you most people do these bets individually and make a small profit. π
MikeKeymasterHi Suds
No worries the more the merrier, nice of you to try a basketball bet but I should warn you RKay is a Warriors fan so there might be a difference of opinion there…lol. π
The only real rule is that if you win you must increase your stakes each time, you can split your first winning bet to get the ball rolling but after that you have to increase your stakes each time and cannot run more than two lines at any one time.
You can switch between sports any time you like (I know the Ospreys are playing this weekend) and if you lose you can just start off again but it must be using the standard 1 point start point.Β π
MikeKeymasterHi
Thanks for that Suds but I believe that is called a rookie mistake πNo returns from either the bet or the ticket last week
Warriors -10.5 to beat the Rockets @ 10-11 (Basketball) Won
CLE Cavaliers +1 to beat ATL Hawks @ 10-11 (Basketball)
Wales to have the highest scoring half @ 7-4 (Rugby Union)
4.45 Kempton Quick Draw @ 11-10
Honda Classic Chris Kirk to win @ 7-2 (Golf) Won
West Ham to Beat Nottngham Forest and both teams to score @ 10-3On the plus side with RKays basketball bet and my golf bet winning had we backed them as singles we would have turned a small profit so it was not that bad a day. But we really need that third wager every week to get that all important return. Hope you all come back this weeeknd and thanks for playing. π
MikeKeymasterHi
It was a tough day at the office all round last night but I still have one bet running and it really has to be all in as I have used my +2 point option and the name of the game is to raise the stakes each time.
My running total is now +3.89 points which goes on a win double tonight on the following wagers which comes out at 1.27-1.Β If this comes off it would take me to +8.62 which means I could then split the bet down again into two +4 point bets in the next round.
Bucks (-2) to beat the Nets in the 1st quarter @ 10-11
Nuggets to beat Rockets @ 4-25If anyone wishes to join in or restart you just start with the usual 1 point bet. π
MikeKeymasterHi
I will update the thread later when I have more time but this is an open question I need an assist with.?
Basketball is a new sport for me and I am still struggling with the home and away listings. Last night the Celtics game was listed everywhere as being a home fixture but was played at Madison Square Gardens.?
Now although I did not take the bet on, with the Celtics having a 24-7 home record it was on my list.
How do the listings work and are they subject to late changes… Help.? -
