MikeKeymasterHi
We dropped another 4 points yesterday which now leaves us at +35.8 points up for the month. We do like the look of a couple over at Clonmel today but after the last few days results and with the ground become a major factor we will bypass the racing for a few days. Hopefully the rain will ease by the end of the week and we can go in again towards the weekend.
MikeKeymasterHi
Anyway finished 10th we needed 9th but that’s the way it has been of late, but we will go back in today with two each way extra bets over at Navan which are as follows.
1.50 Shanroe Act 150-1 but we have taken 33-1 for 9 places
1.50 One Big Bang which we have taken at 19-1 for 9 places
MikeKeymasterHi
We do not have a lot on today as we will need a breather after last week, but will throw one in over at Thurles just to keep the thread bubbling over.ย ๐
3.40 Anyway 80-1 but we have taken the 18-1 for 9 places
MikeKeymasterHi Suds
Looks like its just you and me again so here are tomorrows selectionsWales +20 to beat France @ 1-1
Jordan Speith to win the Valspar Championship @ 11-2
3.17 Kempton Vicki Vale @ 10-11
Brentford to beat Leicester with both teams to score @ 3-1
Wolves to beat Leeds with both teams to score @ 4-1
1.50 Uttoxeter Hitching Jacking @ 2-1The lottery numbers will be 4,5,23,31,47 and 50
MikeKeymasterHi Joe
Well a better day but to be touched off in a photograph for the second time this week is frustrating. ๐
However we dropped 2 points on the Down Royal bet, but Pied Piper lost in a photograph, Thomas Mor got a nice place at big odds and No Ordinary Joe got caught close home.
This means we ended up +9.4 points on the day and still managed to come out of Cheltenham with a profit. ๐
MikeKeymasterHi
We bypased the first Down Royal wager He Picked Us as the markets were all over the place. However we have gone with Midnight Fortune (now 80-1) but we have taken 27-1 for 9 places.ย ๐
MikeKeymasterHi
Well we scraped a place with Royal Thief but still lost 4.2 points on the day ๐ Here are tomorrows Cheltenham pipe dreams plus a couple of each way extra’s over at Down Royal.
Cheltenham 2.10 Pied Piper @ 14-1 for 8 places
Cheltenham 2.50 Thomas Mor @ 40-1 for 6 places
Cheltenham 5.30 No Ordinary Joe @ 18-1 for 6 places
Down Royal 1.50 He Picked Us 40-1
Down Royal 2.30 Midnight Fortune 66-1
I will be waiting for the morning markets before going in on the two at Down Royal but may dabble on He Picked Us tonight as there appears to be a huge market fluctuation on this one between the main bookmakers. ?
MikeKeymasterHi
Someday’s you just wish you had not got out of bed, all of the first three lost with Ashdale Bob pulling up. The best run was the last but Ahorsewithnoname was far too late getting going. The best result for the site was Envoi Allen from theย Ten To Follow thread but as you know we cannot use those on here unless listed as a wager.ย ๐
This leaves us with Royal Thief now 14-1 who as mentioned previously runs in the (so called) lucky last, it is just a question of do you feel lucky. ? The sensible thing to here is to leave it and live to fight another day but when have we ever been sensible. Apologies for anyone who has been getting an error message when logging on but just try it a second time it will work. We are tryimg to sort that out as we speak. We will update tomorrows bets later this evening hopefully when we have sorted out the site.
MikeKeymasterHi
Another frustrating day today as although American Mike lost HMS Seahorse went wrong. I Am Maximus did indeed finish placed behind The Real Whacker and Geri Colombe but unfortunately the outsider Bron got in between us and means we only get the place return instead of a win. The unkindest cut of all was watching Third Time Lucki cruising up to the last fence with plenty in hand only to be clattered into by Thyme White falling and got knocked sideways. He did manage to stay upright and also picked up a place so we did at least finish up on the day.
This puts us back to the start after two days of racing being neither up nor down, so its all to play for tomorrow. Here are tomorrows misguided Cheltenham long shots…
2.10 The Bosses Oscar @ 10-1 for 8 places
3.30 Ashdale Bob @ 22-1 for 4 places
4.50 Ahorsewithnoname @ 25-1 for 6 places
Royal Thief @ 12-1 for 6 places looks interesting in the lucky last but we will keep that one in our pocket and see how the day goes.
MikeKeymasterHi
Energumene was the only competition winner today but he did at least appear in (Rob’s) line 2 which keeps that line in the mix for this months prize. ๐ There are also a hatful of chances in (Suds) line 1 going tomorrow.
MikeKeymasterHi
A tad unlucky as The Big Breakway pulled up halfway round and Zanahiyr our 100-1 shot finished third when we needed second.ย ๐ย To compound a bad run Love Envoi led over the last only to be caught by Honeysuckle late on. However we had best price so got the 11-1 on Love Envoi which means we only dropped 1.8 points on the day. We have a hatful of festival outsiders for tomorrow which are as follows
1.30 American Mike 40-1 but we have taken 16-1 without Impaire Et Passe and Hermes Allen
2.10 I Am Maximus 50-1 but 22-1 without Geri Colombe and The Real Whacker
2.50 HMS Seahorse @ 10-1 for 8 places
4.50 Third Time Lucki @ 14-1 for 6 places
MikeKeymasterHi
The best Festival line we have going after day one is (Rob’s) line 2 which had the following successes which all scored points.
Jonbon Second 2-1
Corach Rambler Won 6-1
Constitution Hill Won 4-11
Honeysuckle Won 9-4
Constitution Hill, Corach Rambler, Honeysuckle and Jonbon were all points scorers in several other lines as well and we will update those over the next few days.
MikeKeymasterHi
We dropped a couple more points yesterday but such is life and here are our Cheltenham selections
2.50 The Big Breakaway @ 14-1 for 8 places
3.30 Zanahiyr @ 100-1 for 2 places
4.10 Love Envoi @ 13-2 for 4 places
We obviously have a hatful of runners going from ourย Ten To Follow thread and we will update those results on a daily basis as the festival runs it’s course.ย ๐
MikeKeymasterHi
Of the weekends bets Suds Wales finally came good and the Celtics beat the Hawks but all the others had a touch of the nears. Arsenal beat Fulham but Fulham couldn’t score Libby jumped the last in the lead but was mugged late on and the golf bet was a lost cause as explained in the previous post. But if we survive Cheltenham this week we will be back for another go at the weekend. -
