With the highest price available at 17-2 for Thunder Rose we obviously bypassed that one and I was a little disappointed with the way Golden Temple was eased up after the last as that lost us fifth place having looked all over to hit the frame when jumping the final fence. 🙁
But such is life and the good news is twofold as Boxcar Molly ran a cracker and finished fifth which means we not only got the main bet in on this one but also cleaned up with a tidy 10-1 win on the bet fair exchange wager.
I am particularly chuffed with that, not just because of the price but the fact it has sparked another Baldrick (cunning plan) which will probably see me trawling all the markets over the next 12 hours.
As for tomorrow we have two to look at over at Bellewstown which are as follows
6.30 Kimjoy 16-1
7.40 Tramps Like Us @ 25-1 for 4 places
We will wait a little longer on Kimjoy as we like a bet without the favourite here.

We have best odds guaranteed (as usual) on Golden Temple which has drifted to 14-1 this morning so no worries there but strangely although a drifter we are tempted with the 18-1 on the exchanges. ?
We have taken an exchange bet on Boxcar Molly for a top five finish at 10-1 but remember we are just dabbling with the exchanges.
The main bet on Boxcar Molly for the site is 15-1 for 10 places. We are nearly there with a price on Thunder Rose and would be looking to take anything over double figures for 10 places if it is offered.

Well we had four out six this week for another profit and win the only real disappointment was Mr Incredible who started the race but took one look at the first fence refused to jump and stopped for a cuppa. However I suppose that was always the risk as I had quoted on a different thread on the day saying he was a “dodgy horse that’s just as like to refuse to run as win”. 🙁 But we are convinced there is a big race in him so expect to see him put up again.

Happy Me duly placed for a small profit on the day and Granns Boy was the proverbial fly in the ointment finishing third. 🙂 But we cannot claim a profit for the thread on the second one as we did not take the early price for Granns Boy on the site. 🙁
We have a similar situation today with the just the race over at Tramore in our sights.
4.35 Touch Me Not who we really fancy but is a bit short to put up at on its own at 7-4
4.35 Benzine 100-1 is more our style but we will need a bet without the favourite/s here if not an each way extra.
We are off to Ffos Las today which is usually off our radar for a wager but as it a jolly boys (and girls) day out we will break the rules and put up the following bet.

We got turned over yesterday with all three bets going down and although a tad disappointed as blank days are a rare occurance for us it was in hindsight just one of those days. Jay Pee M we neded 4th and our runner was hampered at the last and finished 5th (by a neck). Mantee Du Brizais our 25-1 shot had been backed right down to as low as 5-1 before the off and was up with the leading two and looking good when unseating his rider. 🙁 Last but not least our 100-1 shot Fairytale New York that we had taken without the favourite’s at 25-1 needed 5th and came 7th.
We do not have anything for today but if you fancy a punt we have our old mate Mr Incredible running in the Scottish Grand National currently priced up at approx 10-1.
Also, although we got beaten up here a quick heads up to Suds who saved the day with all three Rugby bets coming in on Suds..goes under the posts 🙂

If pushed I would have a shot at the rag Warrior Lion betting without both Palamon and Mordor at 25-1 but would prefer an each way extra for 8 places. This one was a decent sort on the flat and I am sure will come good at some point but whether it is today or not is another matter.
I am quite liking Manatee Du Brizais as he was a winning PTP horse and the step up in trip should suit him. But this is a tough race and he is weak in the markets.

Having had a successful dabble last week into the idea of the forming markets and using the exchange markets (including Gabriel ranger Backed @ 10-1 Laid @ 7-1) something else occurred to me (that’s never a good sign). I have been willing giving money to a young lady for about 20 years now and have asked for nothing back in return. It has been a fun ride with it’s usual relationship ups and downs but only now have I realised that “Denise” is now a billionaire and I have just retired with a state pension and a few quid in the bank.
Now Denise runs bet365 and I drive on old Rio Clio with a dodgy clutch so maybe it’s time I tried being a bookmaker…lol. 🙂
We will be looking for a race that suits our database and will attempt to trade every horse in the race just to see how difficult it is. The only minor issue I can foresee is that Denise trained as an accountant and probably has vast array of stat busting computers and thousands of highly motivated employees which might just give her an edge. I think from memory I just about spelt my name right on the top of my maths GCSE exam form at school (that surely should have been worth an extra mark) :(.
Watch this space for our maiden voyage of the good ship “Bookie Buster” I will be watching out for icebergs. 🙁
