It was a good start when the Clippers basketball game came in followed your Rugby bet on the Northampton game. Unfortunately it went downhill after that but on the plus side we did have a result on the lotto ticket to the tune of £30 so it was pleasure to lose the competition this week. As you know the small wins go towards the running of the competition but how about as its a rollover this Wednesday we run a bonus competition. ?
If you put a bet up I will fill in the blanks and we will re-use the same numbers. ?

Been a quiet couple of days without a bet but we will have a dabble in the extra markets today over at Down Royal.

With the two above the best option at present is 33-1 betting without both Mordor and Le Coq Hardi. We will probably have a dabble but are just waiting to see if we can get a better option when the each way extra markets are put up this morning.
2.10 Up And Out 12-1
2.10 Chancer Dancer 12-1
We will take both of the above @ 15-2 for 4 places betting without both Benjis Benefit and Rightfolksplease.

Jetara came second behind Ballyburn which counted as a win as we backed him without Ballyburn but unfortunately Ascending was knocked around a bit at the second last and was eased up shortly afterwards.
In fairness Ascending was unlikely to win but could have placed but obviously the double went done. 🙁
We have nothing for today at present and it is never a good idea to be hunting a bet if they are not obvious so we will give today a miss which more or less brings the jumps season to an end. There area few meetings on next week but the volume of wagers usually eases up this time of year.
For those who are desperate for a bet Storm Heart at 13-2 or Highwind at 33-1 in the 4.50 at Punchestown are on the radar but betting without the favourite/s for Highwind would be the best option.

The acca comes to 160-1 and the trebles look reasonable this week so fingers crossed. 🙂
The lottery ticket numbers will be 4,7,16,23,31 and 50 as usual.

I live for weeks like this as after Custers Mistake won at 33-1 (along with an explanation) last week we now follow up with a write up and a 20-1 winner today with Pigeon House. 🙂 Nara and Me Wee Bonnie Lass both placed which gave us a +25.40 point profit on the day. We said we would like to end the season with a bang and we could not have asked for more. 🙂

We do not really have anything for tomorrow but when your on a roll you have to try something. In the 7.05 at Punchestown tomorrow we have our eye on Lark In The Morning but at 11-4 it is bit short to put up. But we will throw him up as the win part of a straight forecast with Ascending currently at 11-1 to follow the selection home.

Pigeon House is shortening up real fast and is now 16-1 we missed the 28-1 but took a bit of 20-1 early doors (just in case). Paggane was on the shorlist but there are so many in with a shout in these end of season big handicaps that its a nightmare deciding which one to go for. ? We could have put up half a dozen for each race but its not the way we fly on here. Just go to the tipping sites for there subscription tips and see the difference. We looked at a well known racing paper/website this morning for the late non runners only to see the five shortest priced favourites (three were odds on) put up as tips. ?? Yes they might (or should) all win but a tip. ?

That went reasonably well we had a +32.40 profit from our 9-1 winner Harsh but obviously dropped 10 points on the other wagers but a +22.40 profit is a nice touch. 🙂 This now leaves us with a new balance of +127.45 but the next bet will have to be a minimum 17 point bet on the day.

We had a cracking start today with a 9-1 winner in Harsh and had high hopes for the other two (well one of the other two…lol). But the day went downhill, but if you had asked me if I would have settled for a 9-1 winner at the start of the day I would have loved the idea. We ended up with a +6.80 point profit on the day which I am more than happy with. 🙂
As for tomorrow we are going back to Punchestown for the following options
3.40 Nara @ 9-1 for 6 places
3.40 Pigeon House 28-1
6.35 Popova @ 12-1 for 6 places
7.05 Me Wee Bonnie Lass @ 18-1 for 4 places
We will be looking at Pigeon House in the extra markets as it is a very rare to see Nico De Boinville ride for anyone other than Nicky Henderson. Pigeon House is his only ride of the day other than Hendersons Chantry House. ?

We have managed to get 100-1 for 4 places on Zulu Mike with betfair but this is not BOG (best odds guaranteed) but he is unlikely to get any bigger in price. 🙂 We have taken the more serious option of 11-1 for 7 places on the Mike’s Retirement Plan thread.

We have had a look and decided to go in with all three but we have taken a safer approach as it is my pension we are talking about here. 🙂
2.30 Harsh @ 9-1 for 6 places (3 points each way)
3.05 Aero’s Luck @ 17-2 3 places but betting without Blizzard Of Oz and Answer To Kayf (3 points each way)
3.40 Zulu Mike now 100-1 but we have taken 11-1 for 7 places (1 point each way)
We have also gone with a 1 point each way double on Harsh and Aero’s Luck which takes us up to our 16 point wager for the day. 🙂

It,s a good way to look at it all of us had a dodgy weekend with the accumulator threads Joe’s and your threads went south and the beat the lotto bit the dust. 🙁 But as long as your banker bets or occasional accumulators are covering your losses (which they have been so far) its ok. 🙂
But thats just the way acca’s go you have to remember that what we are trying to do is at best risky and in reality downright silly but if you are having fun thats the real point. I have always said on this site it’s for fun with a serious side and in the five plus years the site has been going we have not lost money. 🙂
