It was a reasonable start today with Rays The One placing at 16-1 for the each ways. The maul missed out by one when Pittsburg followed Cloudy Wednesday home but Ginger Johnny spoiled the party. The next two will be hard pushed as they are both big drifters but you never know.
I will be out for the rest of the day but hopefully by the time I get back Hopefull will have chalked another one up.

Thanks it’s nice when they come in but embarrassing when you put up a 100-1 shot at 35-1 and the bugger gets placed…lol.
We are going to try another of the bets soon as we prepare for Cheltenham but obviously we will need at least two banker bets as a base for the bet and which two to use is the 64 dollar question.
As for today we will just throw a cheeky each way double in (the old enemy hate these…lol)

Squeaky bum time again here yesterday as we had to wait until the 4.35 for Demoiselle Kap for the first winner which we had at 13-2 and fortunately Addosh placed in the same race at 11-4 which means once again we dropped a couple of points again but nothing too drastic. Todays list from Hopefull has a change of tack with some bigger prices so we have some options betting without the favourites today. This may well be the way to go as we use this trick quite often ie yesterday on the Winning Post Tips thread.

Now I know the Non Runner helped but the 35-1 placed horse boosted the returns no end. I know we could have had 100-1 on that last night and this morning but betting without the favourite’s had to be the shout as we were close to a win with that today.
However as this was only the second try at this bet the 10 1 point each way trebles and each way accumulator made a whopping +140 profit on the day which was a early birthday present for me.

Which ever way you cut the cake yesterday you would have had one winner for the maul at 7-2 and a 4-1 win on the each way wagers which would have left both sections of the thread down on the day but only by a point or less so its still live to fight another day territory.
I will try and follow the thread a bit closer today the only change I would initially make would be to switch River Robe to the each way bets.
Most of the maul bets are actually favourites but I will try and sift through the races to see if we cannot get an edge betting without the favourites ie Fils Dor @ 3-1 without Sa Majeste in the early race.

Had you gone with the each way options you would have got one placed yesterday but is was an unlucky week for most of the threads and Hopefull has lost out on four photo finishes last week which is about as unlucky as it gets. We have now gone back to level stakes and todays selections will be crucial but you just have to have a little faith sometimes…lol.
Argento Boy looks the solid option for a win all the others could be considered as each way wagers as an option B for the day.

We had a few winners at the weekend but not enough or the right ones…lol. The Valheim line is still our best line and is now on a very respectable looking 456.78 points. The Feb line has 324.14, Mgame is on 299.12 and Suds despite have only 8 running is on 241.11 the rest of the lines are on 240 or less. Most of the horses will now not run until Cheltenham so now is the perfect time to reassess your options as to replacing runners you are not sure of.
I will put up some options with a full update of the lines by the end of the week.

It been one of those weeks Media Naranja getting blocked in Batman Girac falling at the last (when in fifth and staying on), Sony Bill and Willy De Houlle finished 4th and 5th when we wanted third etc etc. But such is life it means we are however still confident of a return to winning ways soon and as all four bets were big prices and only cost us the minimum wager of 1 point 1/2 point each way which means we are still in profit. It was that kind of week this week Hopefull had four photo finishes on his thread and all four went against him we had three Fallers across the threads. This thread could only manage one result and two close calls including England grabbing a last second try to kill one bet and VAR robbing us of a football bet. But do we complain…? Of course we do…lol. It just means this week is going to be better.
