MikeKeymasterHi
We are going to try a new add on to the system and try it out at Cork tomorrow.2.27 Opera Point @ 20-1 for 6 places
2.27 Pheonix Cowboy @ 17-2 for 6 places (NB)
3.02 Bright Legend @ 7-4
3.37 Doctor Nightingale @ 40-1 for 6 places
3.37 Luminous Light @ 13-2 (NB)
4.12 Workingonadream @ 10-1 for 4 places
4.47 Not May @ 5-1 for 4 placesWe will try and narrow the options down when we get the non runners etc in the morning.
MikeKeymasterHi
Audacious Annie won but the other two lost so I think as we said yesterday we have the answer which is to stop at a profit and kick to touch where the rolling maul wager is concerned. Miss Maverick placed so it was a nominal loss for the each way punt. But as we have a full dance card today I will price up all the runners without suggesting any immediate changes to the format.14:35 HUNTINGDON Buckna Non Runner
15:05 HUNTINGDON Cuban Court @ 9-4
15:20 HAYDOCK Starcrossed Lover @ 6-5
15:35 HUNTINGDON Superstylin @ 7-4
17:00 HAYDOCK Diamond Koda @ 5-2
19:30 SOUTHWELL-AW Bowen Island @ 3-1
E/W AND PLACE
17:00 HAYDOCK Miss Maverick @ 10-1 3 places (skybet)
18:00 SOUTHWELL-AW Bulldog Spirit @ 33-1
MikeKeymasterHi
I will confess we had high hopes yesterday and all was looking great after three races with the first Billie Frechette placing at 8-1 then two winners Walk On the Beach @ 7-4, Small Doses @ 8-1 (most bookies pay first past the post) we thought game on. By this time our little trial gamble only had two to go and both had been well supported and I was already writing my acceptance speech…then Savante ran a stinker and pulled up halfway round (obviously a problem there) and then Cappucino led 3 out but faded into sixth on the straight.
Its a funny old game and I sometimes wonder why I bother especially when both of our other options Timmy Tuesday in the 2.27and Balko d’Ange in the 3.20 would have respectively won and placed…lol. But we made a +8 points profit using singles on the day and like the fools we are will be back again soon.
For those who follow the thread we are looking the for “Holy Grail” of a bet utilising each way doubles and an accumulator which would have made a +16.33 point but also had a very decent possible profit hence the early excitement..lol.
MikeKeymasterHi
Majures Isla was a non runner and with Lakota Blue losing it means we have finally slipped into a deficit on the thread and by -3.35 as we had to back this one at 2 points each way (we had to make up points as we had backed this one before and it lost) But you cant win them all and we still have the faith so we will be back (with our backs against the wall…lol) on Thursday at Cork.
MikeKeymasterHi
On the last outing the Star Of Guiting winning in the opener worked against us on the maul bet by pushing the stakes up and points once again to “kicking to touch” once you have made a few yards (a profit) but as both EW wagers came in you would still have made a profit either way so again its dealers choice at the end of the game. Here are today’s Famous Five.15:00 WETHERBY Audacious Annie @ 7-4
17:25 WHAMPTON-AW Apache Star @ 6-4
18:30 WHAMPTON-AW Voltaic @ 6-1
E/W AND PLACE

Down Royal 1.52 Walk On The Beach @ 7-4
Wexford 2.10 Small Doses @ 17-2
Down Royal 2.27 Savante @ 4-1 for 4 Places
Wexford 3.20 Capuccino @ 7-1 for 4 places
MikeKeymasterHi
Having suffered the “slings and arrows of outrageous fortune” on the last day of Cheltenham we will try a recovery mission using our staple fayre of Irish Hurdlers which we have posted on Speed Ratings Irish Hurdlers . But here’s a race we are keen to keep an eye on namely over at Down Royal.3.02 Seasett @ 16-1 or Sir Carnegie @ 16-1 both or either for 6 places
We have a theory on this race which is a bit off the wall but we will be looking for market movers ?. The same applies to the following although this one has already been backed over at Wexford.
1.35 Midnight Eagle was 200-1 with betfair now @ 25-1
MikeKeymasterHi
We also have a 5yo going in the 2.27 which is on the list namely Mujeres Isla @ 25-1 for 4 places.
MikeKeymasterHi
Unfortunately although the first selection came in yesterday the rest went down and we dropped a smidge over -7 points and means we need to get some in today. This can be the problem of getting the first one in on the rolling maul and not stopping with a win as the points staked go up with every win. We have tried this option out a few posts ago but its a swings and roundabouts scenario dependent on what your end goal is. ?13:52 MARKET RASEN Star Of Guiting @ 2-7
14:52 MARKET RASEN Mutual Respect @ 10-3
16:12 CHEPSTOW Alien Storm @ 3-1
16:32 MARKET RASEN Another Day Out @ 5-1
E/W AND PLACE
14:10 CURRAGH Catherine Chroi @ 20-1 for 4 places
16:47 CHEPSTOW Tribesmans Glory @ 18-1
MikeKeymasterHi Suds
Well done Sudsie, it has been coming for a while with three placed horses on the bounce and although they count it was nice to see you get a win as a reward for sticking with it. I will update the thread a soon as I get a chance.
MikeKeymasterHi
Reallyandtruthfully won which bought the maul wager in, Coachello was a non runner and Blue Seeker lost so it meant an overall loss of about point which again is neither here nor there in the grand scheme of things but it would be nice to see us get one in again and today could be the day.13:27 NEWCASTLE-AW Matwana @ 1-4
15:47 NEWCASTLE-AW Ballygeary @ 5-1
16:03 SOUTHWELL-AW Alvesta @ 11-2

It has been a while since we have updated the lines but with Cheltenham now over amazingly the leader board has remained relatively unchanged as most of the big guns flopped.
