MikeKeymasterHi
Queen Of Seduction saved the day yesterday and put us back in profit and was not to far off troubling the judge for the elusive win but I am happy enough with that as we have a couple of shorter priced ones going today which could crash us back into the red but could also make a nice double.Wexford 3.45 Kish Bank @ 5-4
Aintree 5.15 Hamsiyann @ 6-1 for 6 placesWe are still struggling with the what if they are not running in Ireland option but that is the question “Whether tis nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and arrows” of a lost winner (if it comes in). ? Also the backing each way of horses priced at 5-1 or less is also under discussion but we will run with what we have for the time being.
MikeKeymasterHi
As we head into the final weekend of the competition the lines have not changed and whilst there are limited runners entered there are still enough to alter the final positions and I will update the final positions next week. Here are the possible game changers.Lossiemouth
Constitution Hill
Gaelic Warrior
Quai De Bourbon
Jonbon
Romeo Coolio
Ginnys Destiny
Jango Baie
Djelo
Grey Dawning
Regents Stroll
Strong Leader
Three Card Brag
MikeKeymasterHi
We have three going tomorrow that all owe us something so this could go either way (squeeky bum time). But at least they all look like being minimum stakes wagers.Aintree 2.20 Willy De Houlle @ 16-1 for 4 places
Naas 3.45 Queen Of Seduction @ 50-1 for 5 places
Naas 4.10 Miss Mini Bee @ 14-1 for 5 places
MikeKeymasterHi
Although not a big bang finish, with Jackstell being a non runner the maul went down, but with Ciotog placing (sky etc 3 places) @ 22-1 you would have cleared a nominal +1.4 point profit on the day.
This means the thread has finished with a nice run of profits over the last three days which is no mean feat.
Hopefull has now started a new thread up In for a penny in for a pound and we wish him well.
MikeKeymasterHi
Well we finally got back on the score sheet today with Seskin Flash and I will confess I was beginning to think our luck would never change and with Bright Legend and Seskin Flash both being short priced the stakes can be devastatingly bad if it goes wrong. After the updates the total at the end of the month is now in deficit albeit only 0.5 of a point but not exactly what he had hoped for by now.Happy Me -0.2

MikeKeymasterHi
Well this may have worked out perfectly as Hopefull has indicated to me that he will probably be quitting this thread and moving on to another at the start of April and it is always nice to go out with a bang.
Yesterday proved to be a good day as Spycatcher, Soprano and Midnight Lion all won on the maul bet which would have been a +9 point profit had you backed them all or a +4.5 point profit if you had kicked to touch after the win. The each way punts had a couple of placed returns for a nominal +0.25 profit so it was good news all round.
Today Many Men won at 2-1 on the rolling maul which means if you had quit after the win, it would again have posted a profit of +2 or broken even if you played through. The each way bets again posted a profit of this time +7.2 points which made for a another profit on the day of between +7.2 and +9.2 points dependent on how you played the selections.
I was about to say it will be interesting to see if Hopefull posts again tomorrow or leaves it there…and I have just seen his post arrive in the thread…lol.
MikeKeymasterHi
Seskin Flash goes in the 2.20 at Downpatrick today and we are due a bit of good luck with this thread.
MikeKeymasterHi
As suspected although we did not get a market mover in the 3.02 Seasett became a non runner and Sir Carnegie although only finishing 7th ran a blinder at 50-1 and will be worth noting later on. The same trainer has Hewick running in the Grand National and that one has already attracted a bit attention.
The other one mentioned in the last post Midnight Eagle opened at 200-1 and went all the way down to 14-1 and although not winning is part of something we are working on around market movers.
Having mentioned the Grand National with relation to Hewick, as per usual we have been asked for our selections and I will have a chat with my (current) co conspirators to see if they wish to put one or two up but bear in mind as with Cheltenham this would not usually be a race we would normally cover and as a betting prospect should be treated as a bit of fun.
To start the ball rolling having mentioned Hewick where the big prices have already gone I would not put anyone off backing Mr Vango the 40-1 has gone but the 33-1 for 6 places with Sky looks a good shout with Non Runner No Bet attached.
MikeKeymasterHi
I was not sure whether you had noticed that Titanium is going out again today in the 5.10 at the Curragh he is 25-1 for 5 places. I know I have put Fort Vega up in the same race for the Beat The Lotto (£) but I am thinking if Titanium runs anywhere near his best at the very least he might be worth a shout at 10-1 for 8 places. ?
MikeKeymasterHi
The only return yesterday was Koenigsstern but at 25-1 it was enough to make it another break even day which has steadied the ship and with Hopeful providing a hatful of selections today we have high hopes of a return to winning ways. The prices are as follows…14:25 DONCASTER Spycatcher @ 9-2

MikeKeymasterHi
No worries Hopefull we usually hold off until about 9pm just in case, besides it would be shame to miss out on a 1/7th share of a lottery win….lol. I will now fill in the blanks and will go with some bigger prices this weekend.Ospreys +3.5 to beat Scarlets @ 10-11
Kempton 3.15 Soprano @ 4-5

MikeKeymasterHi
That was better yesterday with the usual scenario, if we had kicked to touch after a gain we would have ended up +6.1 points up. But if you played the full package you would have made just a 0.5 point profit.
But onward’s and upwards and here are today’s prices with a full package of option B’s.14:10 FONTWELL Bobalot @ 6-1 or 23-10 without Bank On Frank & Shuil Ceoil
20:00 DUNDALK-AW Truth Be Told @ 5-1 or 2-1 without Propose
E/W AND PLACE
14:40 FONTWELL Calvic @ 20-1 or option B 16-1 for 4 places
15:45 FONTWELL Koenigsstern @ 25-1 or option B 22-1 for 4 places
MikeKeymasterHi
At first glance I was disappointed with the results yesterday with only Rockonliam and Knockaneleigh Girl placing but having looked through the replays etc St Anthonys Corner was a non runner and Tir Og was leading and nailed on for a place if not a win when falling in the straight. Howdoyoulikeherhome stumbled on the final bend and (reportedly) hung left throughtout but still finished a length of placing.
So in hindsight we will give this another go as we still have a few weeks to play with the data before our end of season dabble on April 2Oth when we hope to land the “Holy Grail”. Lets hope we do not end up with just holes in our bank balance…lol.
MikeKeymasterHi
The thread would have suffered had you gone all in but would have fared so much better again had you kicked to touch on the maul after a gain. The all in option would have lost -6.5 points but the stop when a profit is in would have gained +1.5 points. Both the each way bets went down so it would still have been a small -2.5 points overall but means perhaps it worth going back over the results to see how the selections would have worked out using different staking plans. Here are today’s prices.16:25 WHAMPTON-AW Nordic Glory @ 6-1 or 11-4 without Mashaan
16:55 CHELMSFORD-AW I Maximus @ 4-5
17:00 WHAMPTON-AW Voltaic @ 11-2 or 10-3 without Pessoa
19:30 CHELMSFORD-AW Kracking @ 6-1 or 7-2 without Once Adaay & Stella Hogan
E/W AND PLACE
14:35 SOUTHWELL-AW Jar Du Desert @ 6-1 2 places -
