MikeKeymasterHi Suds
That was soooo..close with Ceanndana today I thought you were in there. But I am guessing a place is still a decent shout at double figures. It’s turning out to be a decent run of form this week.
MikeKeymasterHi Andy
Good Thanks. ! Got my feet up playing catch up with the site etc. Obviously feel free to choose you own twelve the list was just to assist those who may not have played before.
MikeKeymasterHi Rob
All sorted there’s always a compromise somewhere.Over 120,000 = 20 points
Over 60,000 = 15 points
Over 30,000 = 12 points
Over 15,000 = 8 points
All other races = 4 pointsI will now post the suggestions list for those who are not sure how this works or those who are dabbling for the first time as it very easy to end up with all your selections running against each other. The idea is that if you pick one from every group of three you should end up with ten selections hopefully a few winners and some entries in most of the big weekend races. This will leave you two spare selections so you can have another random two from the lists if you do not fancy doing your homework.

MikeKeymasterHi Rob
Strangely as I was compiling the guide list of (suggested) horses to follow I was thinking along similar lines as most of them hopefully will at some stage run in graded races. Also Suds (Clarence) was asking as to whether a nominal amount of points should be awarded just for winning a race to avoid low scoring totals. ?
A possible compromise would be the setup used by a rival site (that I have thrown a challenge out to) as they list bonus points for all races won but by the value of the race. ?
Using your example the winner of the Seller “Mike’s Long Shot” would indeed amass 50 points and “Robs Banker” would have over a 100 for winning the five grade 1’s. This unfortunately would then leave “Suds Choice” say winner of two £10,000 handicaps at 7-1 on only 14 points. Using Jonbon and Galopin Des Champs from last years competition as (prize money won) examples I have come up with the following.
But you can adjust the prize money totals to make it more of a level playing field. ?
Over 120,000 = 20 Points
Over 60,000 = 15 points
Over 30,000 = 12 points
over 10,000 = 10 points
Any race win under £10,000 = 5 points
MikeKeymasterHi
We placed with Big Dispute @ 5-1 so although this one cost us 2 points each way it made no difference as we broke even on the day.
We have two outsiders going at Punchestown tomorrow at huge prices so both can be minimum stake 1/2 point each way for which I am happy to go straight in without waiting for BOG (in case they shorten up before it becomes available).2.35 Space Warrior @ 33-1 for 5 places
4.05 Dream Shaper @ 40-1 for 6 places
MikeKeymasterHi
Nice to see a few old faces back and for those who may not have seen them before Rob (Robmull) was one of the originals back in the day and G (Mgame) has been wandering in and out of the threads for a few years now and I know loves the TTF. I have yet to have anyone from any other sites take up the challenge so will lay out the general idea for this competition as it may be something we can build on. ?
Lets call it the the TFT (to avoid any copyright issues) and suggest to simplify the record keeping side of things points wise and substitution wise all lines will have twelve selections but only the top ten points scoring selections count hence TFT Ten From Twelve.
The reasoning behind this is that there will be injuries and horses that sometimes just do not run at all and this is particularly unfair as this is out of your control. Your list may consist of any twelve horses you like but to score points your horse must win a race where the result is printed on the results sheet in the Racing Post in any UK or Irish Meeting and the points scored will be the equivalent of the SP (Starting Price) on the day ie Your horse wins at 3-1 you will receive +3 points (Rule 4 deductions do not interfere with the points total).
The competition will run from 1st of November 2025 to 2nd May 2026 giving 6 monthly competitions as well the overall bragging rights. 🙂
For those of you who have not played the game before I will (by tomorrow) list my usual selection of rather obvious choices that should compete in all the main races during the season and should pick up a few points. I personally will be listing twelve from our Irish NH data base just because I am dying to see what will happen…lol.
This is a team game so these are just the suggested rules that will be easy enough to update and keep track of during the season. If you have any suggestions or alternatives I am open to offers (but please keep them… simples…lol).
MikeKeymasterHi Suds
Game on I have Big Dispute in the same race….lol. Usual stakes a Kit Kat for the winner (other brands are available) 🙂
MikeKeymasterHi
Although most of my previous selections have all been big prices one or two were already in deficit so over the last few weeks I have manage to drop -11.4 points. I would love to blame the fact that most of them were placed from Morriston CCU but alas I am afraid I do not believe that it would have made much difference. I have still not had time to update the data bases or site properly so the 3 point difference still needs looking to but I am currently according to the thread now only +158.70 points up.
We hope to get back on track with tomorrow’s selection but it may take a few days to bring everything up to date.Cork 2.52 Big Dispute @ 5-1 (we are holding off for a few hours to try and obtain BOG as it should be available later tonight on this race)
MikeKeymasterHi

MikeKeymasterHi Suds
I do believe today’s win takes you into a profit for this month 👍 Well done its tricky to get consistent monthly profits be nice if you can keep this run going. 😬
MikeKeymasterHi
Apologies for the lack of posts and updates but I am out of hospital and on the mend now. I have been waiting to see if anyone would take over the “Ten To Follow” competition but it looks as if it is a lost cause. However we have had a “Baldrick” and will throw out a friendly challenge to other websites to see if there is any interest in a friendly competition. There would be no cash prizes etc just the challenge which was always the fun of the competition. If anyone is interested drop a post on here and if we can get enough interest I will send a challenge out. I know a few of old members usually come out the woodwork to join in this competition and maybe one of them may be able to raise a team from there current site/s.
MikeKeymasterHi
Dream Shaper dropped another 2 points and is starting to be expensive to follow but Bannow Blaze placed for +1 which means we only dropped the the one point on the day.
We have two going tomorrow which are as follows
Killarney 2.24 Benzine @ 28-1 for 4 places
Tipperary 4.26 Space Warrior @ 16-1
MikeKeymasterHi

Listowel 2.45 Cameletta Vega @ 2-1
Newmarket 3.00 Wise Approach @ 11-10 Won
Newmarket 4.15 Bella Lyra @ 9-1 Non Runner
Listowel 5.40 Starting Fifteen @ 15-8We will now try and beat that with the following super six.
Tottenham to beat Leeds @ 6-4
Curragh 1.07 Sindagan @ 13-8
Redcar 2.11 Four Fifty @ 6-1
Sunderland to beat Man United @ 9-2
Redcar 3.56 Volterra @ 5-4
Ascot 4.10 King Of Light @ 9-1The lottery numbers are 4,7,16,23,26 and 50
MikeKeymasterHi
Not too bad a result today with both Alright Darling 25-1 and Princess Felicia 28-1 both placing. Charlies Gift was not a million miles away but lost and we came out at +3.6 points up on the day.
We have two going tomorrow over at Gowran Park both again are outsiders.3.11 Bannow Blaze 12-1 but 10-1 for 6 places looks the best option
4.55 Dream Shaper @ 22-1 for 4 placesWe have gone with the extra places as both of these are already in a deficit with us and will cost us a 1 point each way wager instead of today’s minimum stakes.
