I was suspicious we would end up with at least one non runner and unfortunately Ad Caelum has now been withdrawn. I did have a back up option in the 4.25 but the price is now a bit short so we will stick with what we have.

We have a long haul until August when our season starts over but we will keep looking around to see if we can keep the threads turning over before we reset. We will try Kilbeggan tonight with the following.

If nothing else we at least had a few runners today and although no winners at least they started the race…lol.There are a few possibilities tomorrow but after that there will be another few days break so we will leave it now until the end of the week when hopefully the rain will reappear and we can start getting back down to business.
I have had a query/inquiry as to why so many of the horses we back do not run when the weather appears perfect. It is mainly because we back in hurdle races and whilst the ground may be good for flat racing sometimes the ground can be a little to firm for horse that are jumping and the risk of jarring when landing on ground that has little or no give it in can be problematic.

Unfortunately due to the ground being on the firm side of good, two of our three selections were non runners yesterday and the other one lost so we dropped two points on the day.
We were going to give today a miss but with rain forecast we will take a chance on the following at Sligo.

We could not get any decent each way extra prices hence we did not update the thread but we did personally take the 100-1 on Nakasama and will continue to keep an eye on this one.
As for tomorrow we have a few over at Bellewstown which we can back tonight as they not reliant on the extra markets and already extra places on offer.

Well it could have been worse on our first foray back into the racing thread as Inchiquin Star and Spinning Web both placed albeit by the skin of there teeth…lol. But it means we more or less wiped our nose first day back and hopefully it will get better as the new season develops.
We are going back in today for a look over at Cork with the following
4.30 Nakasama 100-1 4 places
4.30 Rythymn And Thyme 33-1 places
5.05 Nevereverever 40-1 4 places
All of these are long shots and we will be looking for each way extras when the markets are published but we may well take one or two of these for the 4 places with Sky as a last resort especially Nakasama who is one to follow.

Last weeks selections went relatively well as although we only had three winners it did bring in a respectable near 40-1 treble which made us a nice profit and notches up another win. 🙂

We are still in limbo on this thread until July so will start to tidy up the site but it was nice to see Moyvilla Lass finish second the other day and leave us with a small profit on the day. 🙂

Not too shoddy last week with four of the six coming in producing 6 winning trebles for another small profit and another win.
Denmark to beat Slovenia @ 8-11 (Slovenia produced a late equaliser)

Italy to beat Albania + over 2 goals in the game @ 6-5 Won

No joy yesterday and with the next few matches holding no real appeal we have the opportunity (as this coincides with the Irish NH racing finishing for a few weeks) to take a few days off to assess the direction in which we take the site for the future. It has been running quite successfully for some six years but now I am retired, taking a fresh look at our options is long overdue. 🙂
There may well still be the odd wager on the other sports threads etc so we will try to keep the site turning over until we return on the main threads. 🙂
