MikeKeymasterHi
Not so clever last week with just the two coming in but AJ was never going to recover after the first round knockdown and the football let us down.
Ospreys -7 to beat the Dragons @ 10-11
Lando Norris to win the Singapore Grand Prix @ 6-4 Won
Anthony Joshua to KO Daniel Dubois @ 12-5
Newcastle to beat Fulham @ 6-4
Man United to beat Palace @ 7-5
Aston Villa to beat Wolves and score over 1 goal @ 8-11 WonBut the lottery lost as well so a no score draw leaves us to fight another day (well tonight anyhow…lol).
MikeKeymasterHi
Well that could have been a lot worse one non runner and two placed from three bets
2.00 Brave Fortune @ 6-1 (Placed 3rd)
3.10 Marelly @ 33-1 for 5 places (Non Runner)
3.45 Dorans Law @ 14-1 for 5 places (Placed 3rd)
Not the flyer we were looking for but a profit never the less and I will gladly settle for that.
We had a few lined up at Listowel tomorrow but will probably bypass the meeting as the rain has come in and looks like getting worse. Soft to Heavy is forecast and the cards are likely to be decimated by non runners. We will update tomorrow if anything changes. 🙂
MikeKeymasterHi
We will try and get off to a flyer tomorrow over at Listowel with the following selections.
2.00 Brave Fortune @ 6-1
3.10 Marelly @ 33-1 for 5 places
3.45 Dorans Law @ 14-1 for 5 places
Brave Fortune is up against a couple of decent sorts tomorrow but until his last run had been a very consistent type that looked like being one to follow. He has been given a break which indicates there may have been an issue and if all is now well could be overpriced.
Marelly was a decent enough hurdler who was switched to chasing to no effect and now looks to be running off a decent weight now being returned to hurdling and might prove to be the value outsider in the race.
Dorans Law fits the bill on a system we have been dabbling with and at 14-1 for 5 places is worth a look.
MikeKeymasterHi Suds
With the Man Utd game coming in we had three out of the six bets come in throughout last week. The treble coming in helped us to wipe our nose on the day and now we will go with the following all for this weekend
Ospreys -7 to beat the Dragons @ 10-11
Lando Norris to win the Singapore Grand Prix @ 6-4
Anthony Joshua to KO Daniel Dubois @ 12-5
Newcastle to beat Fulham @ 6-4
Man United to beat Palace @ 7-5
Aston Villa to beat Wolves and score over 1 goal @ 8-11
The accumulator comes to a decent looking 167.17-1 if you fancy a dabble.
MikeKeymasterHi
Well that could have been worse both the Chelsea and Newcastle wagers came in at 1-1 which means that although the Tottenham v Arsenal bet and the treble went down we still broke even on the day.
This left us with the +14.87 profit from yesterdays games intact and I am more than happy with that as it is always nice to start the season off on the front foot.
MikeKeymasterHi
Well that was a nice return to the foray with all three singles and the treble coming in for a nice +14.87 point profit.
As we have not had a dabble for ages this led to instant greed on our behalf and we will go in again today with the following as even if all four bets go down we will still be +10.87 points up on the day.
Chelsea to beat Bounemouth @ 1-1
Newcastle to beat Wolves @ 1-1
Tottenham v Arsenal both teams to not recieve 2+ cards each @ 6-4
The treble in this instance comes out at 9-1
MikeKeymasterHi
A few minor set backs and looks like we have lost one of the “Goalposts” pundits but we will try and fill in the blanks until we can find another one.Man United to beat Southampton with over 1 goal in the game @ 10-11
Man City to beat Brentford with BTTS @ 13-8
West Ham to win or draw against Fulham with BTTS @ 13-10
This gives us 10.52-1 treble for those looking for the longer odds.
MikeKeymasterHi
Assuming the competition will be going ahead again this year please let me know if you are interested in joining in again (or for the first time) before the end of this month. As although the list of horses to choose from does not usually get posted until the end of October you will have to have been an active member of the site and posted before the competition selections are posted.
MikeKeymasterHi
Building works are now all but finished and computer room finally back up and running. I would swear I am doing more work now than before my retirement…lol. Originally the site had been set up for a team of pundits covering a selection of sports but that idea has unfortunately somewhat fallen by the wayside (for now). New members are always welcome but as we do get a lot of spam and false applications weird and wonderful @email addresses are unfortunately automatically filtered out.As for the future of the site and especially the “Winningposts” side of it, we have been gearing up over the last few years to my retirement plan by building a data base of Irish hurdlers and for future reference the vast majority of our wagers will be confined to this parameter. The exception to this will be our competition pages such as the Ten To Follow and Beat The Lotto which have there own criteria. We are slowly opening up all the old threads but as an example regarding this thread, there is only one Irish NH meeting next week as the Flat season comes to its climax so the wagers will be thin on the ground during September. This is the month we tend to find out who is coming back into the fold and whether or not we will be having any new members join in.
MikeKeymasterHi
With just myself and Suds playing we are just going to let last weeks selections rollover. 🙂
Australia +5 to beat Argentina @ 1-1 Lost
Lando Norris to win the Azerbaijan Grand Prix @ 6-5
Matt Wallace to win the Omega Masters @ 4-6 Won
GB Packers +2 to beat PHI Eagles @ 10-11 Lost
Master Builder to win the 1.50 at Haydock @ 9-4 Won
Man Utd to beat Southampton plus over 1 goal in the game @ 1-1
MikeKeymasterHi
Following a few queries over the renewal of the beat the lotto competition the Golf runs over the whole weekend and the Football and Grand Prix are for next weekend (which has made the wager confusing). But as Suds and I have been the only ones showing an interest we decided to showcase the bet over a lot of sports just to show the possibilities.
When the competition starts up on a regular basis the usual rules will apply which are that the bets should be over that weekend only and the odds should be available on bet365. 🙂
MikeKeymasterHi
I will fill the blanks in for tomorrows selections and will spread the wagers over a range of sports just to show you there are a lot of options available.
Australia +5 to beat Argentina @ 1-1
Lando Norris to win the Azerbaijan Grand Prix @ 6-5
Matt Wallace to win the Omega Masters @ 4-6
GB Packers +2 to beat PHI Eagles @ 10-11
Master Builder to win the 1.50 at Haydock @ 9-4
Man Utd to beat Southampton plus over 1 goal in the game @ 1-1
The accumulator comes to 90-1 and we are also doing are requisite trebles.
The lottery numbers are are usual 4,7,16,23,31 and 50.
MikeKeymasterHi
We are slowly starting the site back up (the building work at my house is a bit behind schedule) and will be restarting the beat the lotto off tomorrow. We have had no new interest in the off season so I will assume it will just be myself and Suds kicking it off but you still have time. ?
MikeKeymasterHi
A mixed bag that went downhill after a cracking start with Routine Excellence winning at 8-1 then Artic Gale placing second at 13-8 but with both of the others (although running well) finishing out of the places it was a live to fight another day scenario.
We have an interesting one over at Wexford
3.20 Hutton Glen @ 25-1 we missed the 33-1
Also it would be worth looking at the 5.50 at Down Royal for reference as one trainer brings three over and although Southey looks the stable pick be mindful of a market move on either of the Largy runners. -
