We got beaten up over at Cork last Thursday with Tremaine and Dream Shaper both dropping a point. Comanche Moon dropped 2 points Bright Legend at least placed and Alright Darling was a non runner.
We have Mujeres Isla going tomorrow in the 2.18 at Limerick @ 20-1 for 4 places with bet365.

Knight Of Allen won in the first which gave us the option to cash out at a profit. But as the per the original alternative viewpoint had you continued you would have gained a second success with the Boola Boss @ 7-1 (possible rule 4) and would have made a bigger profit than the early cash out. The early cash out @ 1-1 SP was obviously +1 point but had you carried on it would have yielded a +5 as you would have upped the stakes after the first win and also the second win. Unfortunately we would have got beaten up on the EW wagers so using the original option you would have lost -3 points on the day.

Before I finalise tonight’s selections for this weeks competition, a quick update tells us we managed three winners last week which gave us another win. I was more amazed at getting three out of five on the football and had Tottenham managed to score it would have been four out five. Still such is life and we are having a good week all round so maybe we can get some in this weekend. I will fill in the blanks about 9pm as usual just in case anyone else joins in. ??

This thread would make a profit every day of late (on the maul bet) if we kicked to touch after a profit and would look to be the way to eventually go (methinks). Yesterday despite having a 4-1 win with with Carried With Love and two placed options we would have dropped about -7 points on the day had you gone all in.
But that is just our suggestion “Hopefull”supplies the selections we just suggest options.

Well the first run for the new (hopefully improved) system proved to be problematic but worthwhile. Problematic in that it can as mentioned provide multiple selections but if we narrow that down it could be a step forward. Obviously with multiple selections we had to stick with each way singles but that at least enabled the provision of BOG (Best Odds Guaranteed).

I will be out most of the day but have had a query over (NB). ? This refers to “Next Best” as when trying something new out some races often have multiple top selections.
We list these as much as anything to assist us but only where the results look borderline. This usually occurs where as today you have some weak races where the form lines are not generous and you have very little to go on.

Another good day at the office for Hopefull (and well done) with Bulldog Spirit winning advised and taken @ 33-1. Cuban Court also won for the maul and if you had kicked to touch after the profit as we have been mentioning on the maul bet you would have cleared a massive +39.85 pint profit on the day. If you had stuck to the full spread you would still have cleared a very tidy profit of +29.85.

Audacious Annie won but the other two lost so I think as we said yesterday we have the answer which is to stop at a profit and kick to touch where the rolling maul wager is concerned. Miss Maverick placed so it was a nominal loss for the each way punt. But as we have a full dance card today I will price up all the runners without suggesting any immediate changes to the format.

I will confess we had high hopes yesterday and all was looking great after three races with the first Billie Frechette placing at 8-1 then two winners Walk On the Beach @ 7-4, Small Doses @ 8-1 (most bookies pay first past the post) we thought game on. By this time our little trial gamble only had two to go and both had been well supported and I was already writing my acceptance speech…then Savante ran a stinker and pulled up halfway round (obviously a problem there) and then Cappucino led 3 out but faded into sixth on the straight.
Its a funny old game and I sometimes wonder why I bother especially when both of our other options Timmy Tuesday in the 2.27and Balko d’Ange in the 3.20 would have respectively won and placed…lol. But we made a +8 points profit using singles on the day and like the fools we are will be back again soon.
For those who follow the thread we are looking the for “Holy Grail” of a bet utilising each way doubles and an accumulator which would have made a +16.33 point but also had a very decent possible profit hence the early excitement..lol.

Majures Isla was a non runner and with Lakota Blue losing it means we have finally slipped into a deficit on the thread and by -3.35 as we had to back this one at 2 points each way (we had to make up points as we had backed this one before and it lost) But you cant win them all and we still have the faith so we will be back (with our backs against the wall…lol) on Thursday at Cork.

On the last outing the Star Of Guiting winning in the opener worked against us on the maul bet by pushing the stakes up and points once again to “kicking to touch” once you have made a few yards (a profit) but as both EW wagers came in you would still have made a profit either way so again its dealers choice at the end of the game.
