That was as they say a tad fortuitous as although we cannot claim it for the thread had you done all four horse in a combination tricast it paid £1,135.46 to pound. So know we are going to be putting up next time…lol. As it stands though the fortuitous side of things we can claim is as listed below.

7.30 I Am Mimi @ 9-2 for 5 places Won 2 points e/w for the 10 point profit became +18 with BOG @ 15-2
7.30 Desert Haven @ 14-1 for 5 places Placed became +2.20 with BOG
7.30 Leitzel @ 16-1 for 5 places Placed also at +2.20
7.30 Gordons Aura @ 20-1 for 5 places Only 1/2 point each way required so became -1.

This means on the day we came out +21.40 in profit and this takes us up to a decent looking +84.50 profit or the thread to date.

Baron Blake looked to be in contention 4 out but was quickly pulled up leading us to believe there was an issue but only time will tell. We have another problem tomorrow at Ballinrobe as we have 4 horses in the same race again which proved mildly painful the last time it happened but we have to follow the plan so here goes.

Well I had a feeling about today and we had a non runner in the 6.00 then of course we had the disaster that was the 5.25. Of the four runners two unseated thier riders and the other two finished midfield. Fortunately due to all the runners being outsiders it was not to painful (-5 points on the day) but it does add four more to the list. We have just the one tomorrow over at Wexford

We are not entirely sure what to do about having four in one race so we have taken the prices on offer and hope to get at least one in the top four to avoid a wipe out. But remember these are to follow horses and with three of them being minimum 1/2 point each way wagers it would not be a disaster should it all go south. Our other selection Easy Doyen we will take at 19-1 betting without both Costacurta and Rapperee Champ.

After yesterdays 9-1 winner it would not take much to level you up this month. ? I have only quickly glanced over May’s results but make you about -4. ? I have just totted up how close you have been overall on the months selections and I make it about 35 win bets with 2 winners at 20-1 and 9-1 but also you have had 10 placed horse at prices of between 5-1 and 18-1 with 5 of those placing second. Not too shoddy a set of statistics and you just need that extra bit of good fortune to turn this around.

The query I had that probably needs clarifying is that although we had a few big winners lately we are only backing them to make a minimum of +10 points and back them in 1/2 point increments each way. Hence Shadow Paddy was advised at 18-1 but was only backed at 1/2 point each way (the minimum bet) which made +10.8. We may well have backed these ourselves for a more but the aim of the thread is long term and to a workable LSP (level stakes profit).

Having been worried about today being one of those days it actually turned out to be a good day at the office.
