MikeKeymasterHi
That was a bad day at the office as although Hillstar Blues had drifted by the time I got to it unfortunately it did not help and between the two we dropped a whopping -12 points today plus -1.5 the day before and we now stand at only +106.85 points.
Fortunately we have a break in the racing for the rest of the week so can hopefully I will have finished tidying the site up and get back on track next week. We have added an Articles section and I have feeling there will be one very soon on Jockeys not running to the line…lol. For those who did not see the race I would be surprised if Hillstar Blues jockey did not pick up a seven day ban for the ride. The official comment and I quote “tenderly handled run in, lost third final stride”.
MikeKeymasterHi
It’s “Hats Off” to Sudsie today as with our usual BOG attached via bet365 on singles Suds had 20-1 winner with Jonny Mansie and a 12-1 place with Long Gone. I will let Suds update the running total as I believe it is on a spreadsheet somewhere. ?
We will be back to our respective threads soon enough as we now have a free week to play catch up as there is no Irish racing on the horizon.
MikeKeymasterHi
As Suds is taking over the Ridiculous Ideas for 2025 thread for a while it will give me a chance to play catch up on the threads. We have deliberately bypassed today’s selections on here but will list tomorrows over at Kilbeggan which look a little more promising. In the meantime Sudsie will be looking to link our data base to this thread.5.13 Graigstar @ 8-1
5.48 Jonny Mansie @ 15-2 for 6 places
6.18 Tackletommywoowoo 3-1 for 5 places
6.48 I Love My Baie 7-2 4 places
6.48 Long Gone @ 12-1 for 4 places
MikeKeymasterHi
There is also a new addition to the list unfortunately in the same race and not looking the most likely winner but the system is the system so here goes.Kilbeggan 5.13 Prince Inger 25-1 (bet 365)
MikeKeymasterHi.. Thanks Sudsie !
I have been a bit tied up with tidying up the website and Sudsie will be posting the selections for this thread from time to time now and I will just update the progress. Young Churchill and Leitzel are already non runners but the remaining two (at present) look likely to run but with BOG attached do not worry if they drift out. I say that because I am never sure how the ground can be waterlogged the night before and go to “Good to Yielding” the next morning. So there could well be some strange market moves or further non runners before the off.
MikeKeymasterHi
We have decided to shelve this thread in the update as we are getting very few selections and as you can see a lot of those are ending up as non runners. It is a thread we may kick in again at a later stage when our “Irish Hurdler” data base matures. The reasoning being that at present the data base only goes to 6yo’s with the majority being younger horses and obviously it is the older horses that tend to go chasing.
MikeKeymasterHi
Here we go with this weeks magnificent six.Sandown 1.30 Watching Stars @ 9-4

We have a handful of chances tomorrow over at Downpatrick but not all are guaranteed to run.1.40 Godblessyourosie 16-1 (possible non runner will update price betting w/o favourite/s if running)
2.15 Bursinel @ 9-1 for 4 places
2.50 Gina Moon @ 8-1 for 4 places
2.50 Fortune The Brave @ 9-1 for 4places
2.50 Alright Darling @ 20-1 for 4 places
MikeKeymasterHi
Bursinel ended up a non runner (but hopefully runs Saturday) Cois Fharriage placed and Leiztel lost so that takes the running total to +119.85 which I am happy enough with but would like to get another one in sooner than later.
MikeKeymasterHi
We have a couple going tomorrow which are Sligo and are as follows6.58 Leiztel @ 13-2 for 5 places
6.58 Bursinel @ 14-1 for 5 places
7.58 Cois Fharriage @ 7-1 for 5 placesAll of the above have BOG attached.
MikeKeymasterHi
Well that idea of putting replacements in did not go well as we ended up losing -8 points on the day which has dropped us right back down to +121.45. But it is what it is and with nothing for the thread tomorrow we will have plenty of time to sulk over it….lol.
MikeKeymasterHi
With three non runners today we have looked through our pending list and come up with the following which we will throw in as replacements.4.10 Butchers Bill @ 10-1 for 6 places
4.10 Fortune The Brave @ 9-1 for 6 places
MikeKeymasterHi
Swings and Roundabouts today Tassarolo won but at 9-2 and although a welcome winner was only a +10.8 point profit whereas Power Of Words lost at 2.5 points each way for -5. But we did clear +5.8 points on the day which takes the thread total to +129.45.
We have a few going tomorrow at Punchestown but I am obviously thinking Power Of Words who let us down by drifting off course will not turn out again tomorrow.3.00 Power Of Words @ 11-1
3.40 Big Dispute @ 15-2
3.40 Leave In Secret @ 6-1
4.45 Gobblessyourosie @ 33-1 but 28-1 for 6 places looks best
