That was better yesterday with the usual scenario, if we had kicked to touch after a gain we would have ended up +6.1 points up. But if you played the full package you would have made just a 0.5 point profit.

At first glance I was disappointed with the results yesterday with only Rockonliam and Knockaneleigh Girl placing but having looked through the replays etc St Anthonys Corner was a non runner and Tir Og was leading and nailed on for a place if not a win when falling in the straight. Howdoyoulikeherhome stumbled on the final bend and (reportedly) hung left throughtout but still finished a length of placing.
So in hindsight we will give this another go as we still have a few weeks to play with the data before our end of season dabble on April 2Oth when we hope to land the “Holy Grail”. Lets hope we do not end up with just holes in our bank balance…lol.

The thread would have suffered had you gone all in but would have fared so much better again had you kicked to touch on the maul after a gain. The all in option would have lost -6.5 points but the stop when a profit is in would have gained +1.5 points. Both the each way bets went down so it would still have been a small -2.5 points overall but means perhaps it worth going back over the results to see how the selections would have worked out using different staking plans. Unfortunately although the competition was a no score draw this weekend we feel we were a tad unlucky not to hit a treble especially as Viktor Hovland won @ 8-1 and Fad Eadrainin won @ 5-4 the Ospreys won but just missed the handicap by a couple of points etc etc.
On the positive had you backed them as straight bets you would have made a decent +5.25 point profit. We are convinced we are getting close to a full house on this thread and will be back Friday night as usual.

Playing it straight yesterday would have lost you -6 points however playing the kick to touch option on the maul would have gained you a minimal profit as the each way bet was a non runner. Had you played option B you would have had a 14-1 place but..you pays your money and takes your chances…lol.

Knight Of Allen won in the first which gave us the option to cash out at a profit. But as the per the original alternative viewpoint had you continued you would have gained a second success with the Boola Boss @ 7-1 (possible rule 4) and would have made a bigger profit than the early cash out. The early cash out @ 1-1 SP was obviously +1 point but had you carried on it would have yielded a +5 as you would have upped the stakes after the first win and also the second win. Unfortunately we would have got beaten up on the EW wagers so using the original option you would have lost -3 points on the day.

Before I finalise tonight’s selections for this weeks competition, a quick update tells us we managed three winners last week which gave us another win. I was more amazed at getting three out of five on the football and had Tottenham managed to score it would have been four out five. Still such is life and we are having a good week all round so maybe we can get some in this weekend. I will fill in the blanks about 9pm as usual just in case anyone else joins in. ??
