I have never seen two races quite so different in make up as these and the 12.03 is going to need a lot of tolerance built into the bet. I would suggest a definite check on the markets from the opening show onwards with so much potential but very little proven form on offer.
I have done the same as last time and done the ratings without using the speed ratings option as I have been working with Suds on comparing NHF and PTP times to Hurdles. It’s impossible but you have to start somewhere.

Here is my list of possibilities that have been done without any Speed Ratings as Suds is working on those as we speak and it means we are all doing different aspects of the race. The obvious concern is the weather and if Clonmel goes ahead concentrating on those likely to finish might be the better option.

For November we had a tight run finish with a fraction of a point deciding the final result. But Rob has the bragging rights this time around…lol.

Rob +57.44 points with 5 winners
Suds +56.84 points and 4 wins
Joe (rallied late on) to grab third with +41.31 points also 4 winning selections.

Strangely Suds leads the competition with +61.34 and 5 wins overall due to the winner on the first weekend which started the competition off but was technically October. Hence the extra free bet thrown in as it seems only fair.

With that in mind Rob gets 2x £5 win bets and Suds gets 1x £5 free bet which can be used on any of their competition entries. This will kick off the second competition to see who can accumulate the most profit by the end of the competition.
To be more flexible, although the bets cannot be each way they can be betting without the favorite/s etc. If the first one wins they may then split there stakes in half continue or cash out at anytime.

Been looking through the options and have decided to shotgun a few hurdle races at Clonmel on Tuesday with a new twist based around yesterdays postmortem results. I do not expect everyone to join in all the races but please feel free to join in with any of the following.

12.05 (Maiden) 15 runners we need your top 7 selections
12.35 (H’cap) 16 runners so top 8 selections required
1.35 (Maiden) 18 runners so top 9
2.05 (H’cap) 16 runners top 8
2.35 (H’cap) 16 runners again top 8 required.

The idea being to try and find the best value horse/s in each race that can be used in bet builder and/or betting without the favorite/s combinations. It’s a sketchy Baldrick at present but the mathematical connotations/possibilities are giving me having sleepless nights already….lol.

Yes Rob my fault I had changed it on the spreadsheet but not updated it on my horse tracker notification file.
Jimmy De Sieul won for +5.88 points which takes Rob up to +57.44 with Love Me tender still to go tomorrow. Suds is still on +44.31 (for November) but has two runners going tomorrow in Romeo Coolio and Bowensonfire.
The way the points work out this could any which way but loose now as if Love Me Tender wins Suds would need both Romeo Coolio and Bowensonfire to win. If Love Me Tender loses and Romeo Coolio wins but Bowensonfire does not it could come down to the SP’s etc etc

That went well…lol. So I guess it is back to the drawing board for the next race. ? The obvious take out from that for me was that Dysart Dolomite was a first time up hurdler and your never sure how they are going to take to the jumps.
The second factor was that the last two times we have done Maiden Races we seem to do better with the second string of our selections rather than the ones at the head of our markets. ie today
Eyetrap 80-1 6th
Rony Has 25-1 7th
Emestraye 100-1 8th
All of the above appeared at least twice in our individual posts but not necessarily in our top three selections. ?

The idea of me playing safe with bet builders gave me a sleepless night last night (lol) and I was praying someone else would have posted this morning but I have to grow up sometime so here goes.

Well I would say that was pretty conclusive from our selections for a top five finish it’s just a question of how much tolerance you want to build into the bet. Top 6 Top 7 obviously we would have to wait until the bet builder prices go up but it will be interesting.

The back up options appear to be Eyetrap & Rony Has with two votes each Eyetrap opened at 20-1 with bet 365 but 150-1 with Paddy Power otherwise it looks to be a pretty settled market.
Riskway is a non runner but Ravendark the unraced Gordon Elliot horse I was concerned about is 12-1 with bet 365 but 5-1 with most other firms and I would think making an allowance for him in case he spoils the party would be a given. ?
