I was just about to update the thread with a breakdown but have noticed an Extra Markets horse going tomorrow at Navan.
2.32 A Snow White Park @ 20-1 for 4 places Sky bet
Although not a To Follow horse the price for 4 places has tempted me to go in with this one as the yard are in form and if the ground drys out the extra place could be the difference in a weak race.

A Snow White Park ran no sort of race as such and the same might be the case tomorrow at Limerick as we have another last chance saloon selection but we have to try this idea out.

2.23 Dream Shaper 66-1 but we have gone with 1/2 point e/w at 14-1 for 7 places

This one looks another no hoper but now dropping back in trip running off 85 plus a claim it is I believe now or never time.

Having thrown in another add on bet builder which wiped out most of the winnings on the original a few days back and then had two straight losses we are now back down to +20.24 which is not ideal.
But we finally have a few chances to redeem the situation tomorrow at Clonmel.
3.42 Seeitoldya 33-1 (Chase option)
5.12 Loi De Jeux 1.5 points each way @ 6-1 for 5 places (To Follow)
5.12 Anodandawink 25-1
5.42 Humble Brag 5-1
We have gone straight in with Loi De Jeux as it is our “To Follow” horse and will update on the others when the extra markets become available. We do hope to include a bet builder in the 5.12.

We have one last one for tonight which is Anodandawink as we can get 25-1 for 5 places and I do not think we will get much better than that especially as bet 365 are now going 12-1. This one will just be 1/2 point each way as it is not from the to follow list.

My main bet the to follow horse Loi De Jeux is a non runner as is Humble Brag which leaves us with just the one bet Anodandawink from last night. With this in mind I will go in with Seeitoldya but at 21-2 for 7 places in the 3.42 as the extra markets option albeit a chase race.

Another “To Follow” horse a non runner coupled with another two dropped points in the other markets is looking like a a point well taken but I did say I would persevere with the idea of expanding on last years system so will continue along those lines for the time being.
We are now down to +18. 24 and could do with a return but with Take Stock being the only selection tomorrow and being again just an extra markets horse I will be looking to get a better price then currently available before considering a wager.

Take Stock has now drifted out to a more reasonable 7-1 for 4 places but I will look at this from another angle, which is that the yards top jockey Keith Donaghue has switched back to Take Stock for his first attempt over the longer distance indicating some confidence in him getting the trip. The yards other runner Bergamasco is now ridden by Eion Staples a to follow jockey of ours which with his 5lb claim and the revamped weights gives the selection a massive chance of reversing the form with Lough Nigara.
With this in mind I am going in with a 1 point bet builder at 13-5 on both finishing in the top 5.

The slippery slope syndrome continues as I drop another point and am now down to +17.24 but we do see some light at the end of the tunnel as we have a couple that I quite fancy coming up including a “To Follow” horse. Here are tomorrow’s fancies but there will hopefully be a bigger bet this Monday when we have a good spread of runners declared across two meetings.

Fairyhouse 1.30 Splendid Fellow 3 points each way at 11-4
Cork 5.15 Tiger Twins 40-1

Obviously Splendid Fellow is the “To Follow” horse tomorrow but I am quite keen on Tiger Twins even at 40-1 but the sensible thing to do is wait until the extra markets open up to see if I can get a bet without favorites.
nb. As I was typing there was a move on Tiger Twins with Sky bet so I have taken 1/2 point each way whilst the 40-1 is still available but may go in again on this one when the extra markets open up. I can only get three places at that price but sometimes you get that feeling in your water. It’s probably a urine infection but such is life….lol.

Just lately I am thinking this thread is turning into a film unfortunately it is beginning to resemble “Custers Last Stand” or the “Alamo”. Having dropped a further 7 points today we now stand at just +10.24 and I need “The Great Escape” to get me out of trouble tomorrow hopefully these two can oblige.

It was another misguided boo boo today as the only horse that was meant to be backed on the actual system was Desert Haven which was an “Extra Markets” horse (and came in) but I added in Hesgonethatway to make up the bet builder. Hesgonethatway was a “To Follow” horse who had already won for us Ridiculous Ideas for 2026 and should have been dropped. But my fixation with the bet builder has become an addiction and is driving me bonkers….lol. To prove the point I am going in with another today taken from a brand new list of hurdlers we used to follow that have now gone chasing.

As soon as the extra markets become available I will fill in the blanks, with hopefully a chance to place a decent bet builder in the 4.55.

I think the way it is going I could have guessed today results the two I left alone as they had already won for me Agameoftwohalves & James The Brave both won again and the rest all lost.
This means I will need someone to throw me a lifeline soon as I have now managed to slip further into the mire and now stand at a paltry +6.24. But on the bright side I have nothing for tomorrow so my head will remain above the mud until at least Sunday.
