Well that was more like it, not only a runner but a winner and with first ever double wager as Steak And Onions actually finished third at an SP of 80-1.
This means our double wager paid off and returned a nice proft of +8 points on the day and if we had been a little bolder could have also taken the 50-1 for 5 places that was on offer.
As mentioned I am away for the weekend at a family wedding so this thread along with a few others may go quiet for a while unless I can sneak away. 🙂

Call me weak but I cashed out at +312 points with City only needing a corner to complete the full bet.
For those who know me the heart bypass was not going to stand the last fifteen minutes or so and it still makes for great shout in my book. 🙂

Once again we have what should be the difficult part of the bet in as both teams have scored got the requisite amount of corners and a couple of cards to boot. 🙂

I am not sure why Ake did not pick up a card as a penalty was awarded but such is life. 🙁

This bet is becoming very frustrating as we came so close again last night but at 400-1 with Sky Bet we just have to have a punt in tonights Newcastle v Man City game.
Both teams to score and have 2 corners or more in both halves with both teams to recieve 20 or more booking points in the match.

Cullagh Star came a brilliant fourth at 250-1 and has made me wonder with our recent results whether or not we should transfer these selections over to the monthly tips thread instead of here. ?
However for the time being even at the each way extra odds taken we have grabbed another couple of points for the thread and can do little wrong at present. 🙂

I am begining to think I have trodden in something sweet by the parade ring as not only did Prospectus bring in the place part of the each way extra bet at 25-1 but also by grabbing fifth spot brought in the place part of the 100-1 wager. 🙂
This means we have picked up another +24.26 points in total today and means we are up +52.46 for the month on this thread. 🙂

Prospectus is an incredibly risky bet as he is an alphabet horse and has more letters than numbers in his overall form.
However at the aforementioned 80-1 but now 100-1 for 5 places or the more likely 25-1 for 8 places at 1/4 odds I think we will take the plunge.

Its nice when this happens as both horses came in comfortably today with Eat The Book actually coming second but still made +10 points for the thread at the 55-1 we had taken for 8 places.
Spider Cullen came fifth and we had taken 33-1 for 8 places so made another +5.6 points making a total +15.6 point profit on the day.
Unfortunately with no NH racing in Ireland tomorrow there is no bet but I am more than happy with this month’s +26.2 point profit so far. 🙂
