I was just about to update the thread with a breakdown but have noticed an Extra Markets horse going tomorrow at Navan.
2.32 A Snow White Park @ 20-1 for 4 places Sky bet
Although not a To Follow horse the price for 4 places has tempted me to go in with this one as the yard are in form and if the ground drys out the extra place could be the difference in a weak race.

Puma’s Dream as suspected is not a viable bet on its own. Fairlander is a non runner and we are not happy with 5-2 for both Poet’s Oath and Space Warrior for top 10. However by jiggling the bet around we will also take Poet’s Oath for 8 places, throw in (a previous To Follow horse) Hillstar Blues for 9 places then go 10 places on Space Warrior. This will then give us a 25% bonus and bring this to a more respectable 11.25 -1 bet builder. Yes I know…giving up on the bet builder is the obvious option but…it’s me. !

Puma’ s Dream looks an unlikely bet but I am tempted with the others for 6 places with sky. ? I will wait a little longer to see if I can get something better and the two in the 3.00 will also be used in a bet builder.

I got well and truly beaten up today despite having several runners placed. However with two of my three “To Follow” horses being non runners it did not help and I am not sure whether that was a good thing as although I had no returns I only lost 6 points. Had both of those lost t could have been -11 points.
This puts me back down to +21.74 and I will update the split when I have worked it out as most of the points( -5) were lost on bet builders and although disappointing I am not prepared to give up on those just yet. Thursday will be my next option which will give me a day to sulk rethink and get over it…lol.

All in all I spent a lot of hours selecting one runner Absolutely Doyen who was squeezed out of a place in a blanket finish and five non runners. Painful is a word I would use but hopefully a few of the selections will turn up at Aintree fresh for having bypassed Cheltenham so possibly I may yet get my just rewards….lol.

I will update this thread now as I have nothing on the horizon until next week but the 17th may provide a few decent opportunities to try out a few different bets on the same day.
Today’s wager Gold Dancer suffered a late jockey change but still managed a valiant second having led most of the way round. I would have loved a 28-1 winner but am happy enough to keep the pot boiling by picking up another +2.3 points and taking the running total to +27.74.
