MikeKeymasterHi
With all those fancied runners today only one got home which was Rob’s Il Etait Temps for a tasty +22.5 point profit on the day. Rob also had a winner from his QUALITY RACING 2026 thread where he had advised Jingko Blue some time ago at 20-1.
This means the monthly competition now stands at
Rob +22.5
Suds +21.4
Moi +9.5
The overall competition sees Rob moving back into contention
Mgame +193.43
JoeH +172.00
Suds +170.91
Rob +160.46
The cash competition stays relatively unaltered with no winners today but Mgames Final Demand was tad unlucky.
Tomorrows runners are as follows
1.20 Bambino Fever (Steve, Rob,Andy & Joe)
2.40 Jade De Grugy (Rob, Joe & Moi)
2.40 Wodhooh (Suds)
3.20 Ballyburn (Steve, Andy & Joe)
3.20 Teahupoo (Steve & Joe)
4.00 Fact To File (Mgame)
4.00 Jonbon (Mgame)
MikeKeymasterHi
I have been patiently waiting for one of my ante post wagers to run in the hope of pulling off a stroke and Rob goes and beats me to it with Jingko Blue today which he advised at 20-1 (a while back) on his QUALITY RACING 2026 thread. He still has a few to go so if you have not been following the thread there are still two days to go so get your reading glasses out and follow the link.
MikeKeymasterHi Rob
“What can you say about Jingko Blue” how about “Great shout”…lol. That plus Il Etait Temps in the Ten To Follow thread made for a nice day at the office of Rob. I will link the exact page on the Ante Post Wagers thread for you as it is a well deserved mention. It must be nice to be in that position with two days to go.
MikeKeymasterHi Rob
If Majborough jumps cleanly he wins in my book. But there’s the rub if you one of the many who have gone all in on Majborough you will be praying every time he leaves the ground. But again your eagle eye has spotted a profit before the race has started and that’s the way it should be. You must remind me to get in touch over the exchange markets, I have dabbled but…. ?
MikeKeymasterHi
A late update from the sick bed sees Mgame going in with Final Demand (using the second £5 free bet option) but without Romeo Coolio and has been placed at 5-2. I am definitely seeing some tactical betting here lets hope it works as they could technically both come out with a win.
MikeKeymasterHi Suds
I cannot claim 4 wins but the three wins would have made sure you did not lose out on the day.
As for today we will put some up for the placepot option and now Mgame is home I will get to watch these. Thanks for the queries over G’s health lets just say if there was a runner going called Burst Appendix we would back it without checking the form lines…lol.
Apologies for a few errors in yesterday posts dates/days etc but it has been a busy few days and hopefully all will get back to normal for the rest of the week.
1.20 No Drama This End and Ballyfad will probably fight this out but with the favourites having a strong edge over the last few years No Drama This End looks the obvious choice. ?
2.00 Romeo Coolio is no sure winner in a tough race but is as game as they come.
2.40 I really am lost here all of my ideas but one have been wiped out as non runners so I am left with Storm Heart who is a little high in the weights and Forty Coats a once decent prospect who has lost his form this year but is well in if they have got his issues sorted out.
3.20 I am not a fan of the cross country race but Favouri De Champdou looks to have a strong hand if getting round safely.
4.00 The same applies to Majborough in a weak looking race.
4.40 If you get this far Be Aware should hit the frame and at a bigger price Jour d’Evasion was a decent hurdler that has been showing signs of ability in lower grade races.
MikeKeymasterHi Suds
No worries I have taken 5-2 on Romeo Coolio (Bog attached)
Points wise Suds was the only winner but what a win with +21.4 for the race which means the monthly competition now stands at
Suds +21.4
Moi +9.5
The overall competition now stands at
Mgame +193.43
JoeH +172.00
Suds +170.91
Rob +137.96
The cash competition now stands has a couple of winners in it
Suds now on +37.88 with Lossiemouth winning bit Anzadam losing.
Mgame has joined the fray by virtue of Brighterdaysahead @ 9-4 W/O Lossiemouth +16.25 and one unused £5 bet
Rob 1x unused £5 bet
JoeH 1X £5 unused bet
Tomorrows Cheltenham runners are as follows
2.00 Romeo Coolio (Suds)
2.00 Final Demand (Steve, Andy, Mgame & JoeH)
2.40 The Yellow Clay (Rob & Moi)
4.00 Majborough (Mgame & JoeH)
4.00 Il Etait Temps (Rob)
MikeKeymasterHi Rob
The moment of truth arrives…lol. best of luck and thanks for all the input especially with Kel Histoire who is beginning to look like great shout.
We have both gone with Paul Nicholls runners in the 2.40 today and I know Harry Cobden has plumped for Porquoi Pas Papa having won comfortably on Bibe Mus four days ago but I believe with Sam Twiston Davies on board I still have a squeak.
The concern was the timing of his last run being so close to this race but I believe he needed the mark to get off the right weight to run. So it may prove to be a stroke of genius or a predictable disaster waiting to happen.
Either way best of luck as the kit kat is awaiting the winner especially as Suds has gone also gone with Bibe Mus with Madness d’Elle as the option. Intersting that nobody went for the fancied runners. ?
MikeKeymasterHi
Even I am getting confused now (I think its getting tactical) we have everybody piling in on the 4.00…lol. But at least it will be an interesting race to watch.
Lossiemouth (Suds)
Anzadam backed to win without both Lossiemouth & The New Lion (Rob & Suds)
The New Lion (Steve)
Brighterdaysahead without Lossiemouth (Mgame)
MikeKeymasterHi
I have been asked for an opinion or two for day one of the Festival and will go with the following which can be used in 4x bet Placepot or backed as you see fit.
1.20 Old Park Star
2.00 Lulumba
2.40 Madness D’elle
2.40 Bibe Mus
3.20 Jagwar
4.00 Lossiemouth
4.40 Madara
4.40 No Questions Asked
MikeKeymasterHi
This is going to get interesting as Steve has just contacted me to say he is putting his £5 on The New Lion. This means we now have three members in a kit kat challenge on the 4.00 and I would hate to call it.
The NewLion has been taken at 11-4 (with BOG attached)
MikeKeymasterHi
Not surprising that Suds and I have come up with the same selection for tomorrow as we are singing in the same choir (if not using the hymn sheet..lol).
I will go Bibe Mus @ 16-1 for 6 places in the Fred Winter Juvenille Handicap Hurdle
I have 3 others on the Ante Post Wagers thread and will combine those with the above and I Started A Joke @ 10-1 for 7 places in the Coral Cup in my usual 5 horse Cheltenham festival each way doubles etc.
MikeKeymasterHi
I have been left with three of my ante post bets running and have my money back on all of the others which leaves us with the following wagers left standing.
Thursday sees Absolutely Doyen @ 14-1 for 4 places in the Pertemps Hurdle
Friday still has Celtic Dino @ 25-1 looking good value now in the County Hurdle
along with Newbrook Diamond @ 33-1 for 4 places in the Martin Pipe Conditional Hurdle
I will put a couple of others up on the To “CAP” the season off. ? thread which I will be looking to use in each way doubles along with these in my usual 5 horse Cheltenham each way doubles etc but obviously the price on Celtic Dino has dropped to 16-1 for any new bets.
MikeKeymasterHi
I have placed the Lossiemouth win bet @ 15-8 and both Anzadam win bets @ 9-1 without (both Lossiemouth & The New Lion). If anyone has any other bets let me know by 11am tomorrow latest as I am visiting Mgame who is laid up in hospital and the reception is lousy.
The TTF runners for the first day at Cheltenham are as follows
2.00 Kopek Des Bordes (Rob)
2.00 Lulumba (Mgame,JoeH & Moi)
4.00 Lossiemouth (Suds)
4.00 The New Lion (Steve,Rob,Andy & JoeH)
4.00 Brighterdaysahead (Andy & Mgame)
4.00 Anzadam (Rob & Suds) -
