I have been working on a new silly bet but do not wish to start a new thread per say just yet so I will put the racing selections down here as options on todays wagers. Both are at Galway if they both run. ?

2.00 Moulane West @ 25-1 for 4 places
2.30 Celestial Horizon 50-1 but we will take the 33-1 betting without both La Prima Donna and Boothill for which 4 places still apply.

Moulane West has been running against decent opposition of late and I beleive the track did not suit last time out. There are question marks over the market leaders and he looks overpiced today.
Celestial Horizon was a tip of ours the other day and ran a stinker but if he lines up today which is a big question mark I have to go in again, but without Boothill as I have already put him up for this race.

Hi Folks,

Another each way return from GREAT AMBASSADOR who finished sixth at an SP of 16/1. He actually ran better than his finishing position, as he was drawn on the wrong side of the track and was the first home of those emerging from the bottom half of the draw, despite being bumped when the groups merged.

This will probably be my last selection until next weekend, as the racing is fairly poor quality this week.

4.10 Galway (Sunday)

I was planning to back CURRENT OPTION, who has won the last 2 renewals of this event, but he is too short at best odds of 4/1, so have decided to support LORD DUDLEY instead.

Although he has mostly raced at shorter distances he has won twice and finished second from 3 attempts at around 7 furlongs and is worth an each way play at 8/1 with Bet365 (5 places).

In that case Rob this would make Monday the perfect time to reset the threads. I am assuming that you have had no problem getting on of late and with all but one of the other issues sorted it looks a goer.
I will throw one in for tomorrow as well, as I still have the Womens Euro final and Golf bets in play or ongoing.

I should have stuck with my original selection, CURRENT OPTION, especially as he drifted to an SP of 11/2, rather than looking for a value alternative.

Hopefully I will return with a selection, or two for next Saturday.

That’s always the way Rob I was chatting to Joe online earlier over a bet I had at 80-1 on Germany to win the Womens Euro’s and Alexandra Popp to win the Golden Boot. Popp being joint top with 6 goals and having scored in every round promptly injured herself in the warm up. 🙁 If you didn’t laugh you would cry. !
As for my wager Blowing Dixie was non runner but as I will not be able reset until my next day off which will be Tuesday it does give me the option to throw a couple in for tomorrow at Cork.
2.30 Maggie Walsh 50-1 but we will go with 20-1 for 9 places and 24-1 for 8 places
4.35 College Causeway @ 20-1 for 6 places with Sky bet
3.00 Walnut Beach 40-1 is worth checking out in the markets for any support.
Maggie Walsh is not going to win this and is also available at 17-1 for 10 places but I feel the two bets we have had are the best options. College Causeway is one of our to follow horses and at the 6 places on offer is worth a straight punt.

Just a quick update to say that Walnut Beach is still available with bet365 at 40-1 for 4 places. However he is as low as 14-1 with Sky Bet.
With this in mind we feel honour bound to throw him in the mix today.

College Causway let the side down today but if going handicapping next time out and over a longer trip I would not put you off having a nibble.
Maggie Walsh placed 7th so both bets paid off there, but the highlight of the day has to be Walnut Beach who placed a close second at 40-1. Had he not lost momentum two out when bumping a rival he might have given the winner a bit more to do. But with three out of four bets coming off at decent prices we cleared a nice +14.80 points on the day. 🙂
I will start resetting the threads tomorrow so these two at Roscommon may dissapear but here they are.
7.30 Harel Du Marais 40-1 but we will take the 19-1 for 9 places and 22-1 for 8 places
8.30 Court Cian 40-1 but 17-1 for 9 places and 19-1 for 8 places look best

Thanks for that Joe and I am hoping you will be able to join in the Beat The Lotto (£) competition which we will restart this weeeknd. I am hoping you can use a bit of that footie expertise of yours and throw in a nap bet and if possible a next best. ?
For those of you wondering about the reset we have reset most of the threads but have left this one more or less alone, as it would be unfair to wipe out Rob’s efforts which have helped keep this particular thread more than honest since the reset. 🙂

Harel Du Marais ended up a non runner but Court Cian finished fourth so brought both of the each way extra bets in, for a small but respectable +6.16 point profit for the day. This now puts us +20.22 points up after the first two days of the month. 🙂
I have reset a few threads today and with no Irish NH racing on tomorrow it would seem a perfect opportunity to take a day off. See you soon though.  🙂

We have another of our to follow horses running at Sligo tomorrow and although it is a very weak race, I still think we would be better off taking the each way extra price.
6.30 Ucandoit 50-1 but available @ 18-1 for 9 places and 22-1 for 8 places
We have been lucky of late with these but this particular oe is a bit of a monkey so beware either way.

Ucandoit kept the ball rolling by placing fifth but due to the rule 4 deductions etc we only managed a small +4.40 point profit on the day, but that does take us to +24.62 for the month. 🙂
We have another couple of each way extra options for tomorrow at Wexford but the prices are not yet available. However here are the two runners we will be looking for a price on tomorrow.
4.45 Complete Fantasy 50-1
5.15 Oco John 50-1
We will update the bet/s as soon as the markets become available.

Bet365 have not posted the extra markets and the price is already disappearing on Oco John as he appears to be a market mover. So although we have missed the 50-1 we will take a punt at the 25-1 for 5 places with Sky Bet.

Not a bad run by Oco John taken at 25-1 and placing 3rd in a decent finish. This gives us another profitable day albeit only +4 points but every little counts. This now puts us a tidy +28.62 points up for the month and as set us us off on a decent little run. 🙂
As for tomorrow we have a problem Houston as we over at Kilbeggan and I can only see outsiders (as usual) and I need a win bet for the Beat The Lotto (£) thread.
My early thoughts are with the following but they were all meant to be extra option bets so an update in the morning would be best. Haral Du Marais is the likely thread bet but @ 25-1 without the favourite.
5.20 Haral Du Marais 33-1
6.55 Three Loud Knocks 200-1 but we will only take 75-1 for 5 places if it becomes available.
7.55 Fill The Tank @ 22-1 for 4 places
Haral Du Marais is one we had tried to back a few days ago and remains in our crosshairs but this looks a tougher race. Three Loud Knocks has been racing soley over PTP and chase races but could be anything over hurdles. The price reflects the quality of opposition and he should finish tailed off in last but he has done the distance and has finished mid division against similar chase opposition a while back. Fill The Tank is due a decent race is on a decent mark and looks overpriced.
