Not too shoddy a day yesterday with the following results meaning we had three each way doubles in.
4.45 Gordons Aura @ 12-1 for 4 places (Placed)
5.45 Downtherefordancing @ 5-2 (5th needed 4th) 🙁
6.15 Bigira @ 11-2 for 4 places (Placed)
7.15 I am Spider Man @ 7-1 for 4 places (Won)
This resulted in a +8.34 point profit on the day not a grandstand finish but if we cannot find anything else at Downpatrick this weekend this would be an acceptable finish. 🙂
The weekend meeting at Downpatrick will be the last one until the July 2nd.

3.02 Doyen Flyer 10-1
We amazingly have very little choice or price options this evening so will update the thread in the morning when the extra markets are posted. We like Sirekoff but would like to put him in some form of double with either or both of the others but would like to get an option of betting without the favorites there.

There are a few races tomorrow but as explained previously it slim pickings for us until the end of July start of August on this thread.
However we have turned our attention to the Euro’s and have a pretty good start over there on the Goalpost Tips  thread.

Last wager for a while until the Irish NH Racing comes back and having narrowly missed our each way treble yesterday we will try these two over at Kilbeggan tonight.
5.45 Moyvilla Lass @ 16-1 for 5 places
6.45 Watch The Weather 14-1 but @ 10-1 without Baltic Bird and Sam Magee
The same could be said in the 6.45 with Ginnets Girl or Zolpherine who can be had for 11-1 betting without both of the above and it was a difficult choice but…

We are still in limbo on this thread until July so will start to tidy up the site but it was nice to see Moyvilla Lass finish second the other day and leave us with a small profit on the day. 🙂
We will be back soon so do not worry if you see a few threads or old posts disappearing it only a bit of spring cleaning going on. 🙂

Finally we have some NH racing over in Ireland and we will put up the following for tomorrow over at Tipperary.
5.40 Inchiquin Star 14-1
7.25 Spinning Web @ 6-1 for 5 places
8.00 Diese Bhoy @ 11-1 for 5 places
We will go in as usual tonight with the highlighted bets and will take a look at Inchiquin Star in the morning.

We have been keeping an eye on Inchiquin Star in the markets and at 14-1 for 6 places (sky bet) we have decided to go in with this one as well.

Well it could have been worse on our first foray back into the racing thread as Inchiquin Star and Spinning Web both placed albeit by the skin of there teeth…lol. But it means we more or less wiped our nose first day back and hopefully it will get better as the new season develops.
We are going back in today for a look over at Cork with the following
4.30 Nakasama 100-1 4 places
4.30 Rythymn And Thyme 33-1 places
5.05 Nevereverever 40-1 4 places
All of these are long shots and we will be looking for each way extras when the markets are published but we may well take one or two of these for the 4 places with Sky as a last resort especially Nakasama who is one to follow.

We could not get any decent each way extra prices hence we did not update the thread but we did personally take the 100-1 on Nakasama and will continue to keep an eye on this one.
As for tomorrow we have a few over at Bellewstown which we can back tonight as they not reliant on the extra markets and already extra places on offer.

Unfortunately due to the ground being on the firm side of good, two of our three selections were non runners yesterday and the other one lost so we dropped two points on the day.
We were going to give today a miss but with rain forecast we will take a chance on the following at Sligo.

If nothing else we at least had a few runners today and although no winners at least they started the race…lol.There are a few possibilities tomorrow but after that there will be another few days break so we will leave it now until the end of the week when hopefully the rain will reappear and we can start getting back down to business.
I have had a query/inquiry as to why so many of the horses we back do not run when the weather appears perfect. It is mainly because we back in hurdle races and whilst the ground may be good for flat racing sometimes the ground can be a little to firm for horse that are jumping and the risk of jarring when landing on ground that has little or no give it in can be problematic.

We have a long haul until August when our season starts over but we will keep looking around to see if we can keep the threads turning over before we reset. We will try Kilbeggan tonight with the following.

I was suspicious we would end up with at least one non runner and unfortunately Ad Caelum has now been withdrawn. I did have a back up option in the 4.25 but the price is now a bit short so we will stick with what we have.

Dreamings Free ran no sort of race but Dinoland finished a cracking second behind what I believe was a very well handicapped horse. At least we wiped our nose on the day and live to fight again. There are a few running today but until we get back into August and the ground eases we will be thin on the ground with wagers.
