I think going for the corner option for just one team was not the best shout as everything else came in but not one of those. 🙁
But we live and learn this is a relatively new database and we will be back in League 2 this weekend.
As for today Cheltenham has issues and the Irish racing is on hold so we will chance a football wager and go with a clean sweep for the England and Scotland teams tonight especially as there is a 12% bet boost on the acca with bet365.

We had the usual spread of winners and losers yesterday and at 185-1 this should maybe have gone onto a different thread but it has triggered a new idea using our rolling maul principle.
I have borrowed the Rugby database to try this one out and will use the following selections

Including the abandonded game and bearing in mind we had to use a 19 point bet (as we always have to stake more than the last wager) our 6 x 3 point win doubles and 1 point acca returned +31.16 which is a tidy enough +12.16 point profit on the day.
We now have to use more than 19 points on the next bet but now have a running total of +58.61 to play with. The profit on the actual bet to date is actually +42.61 (when we deduct the intial stake used).

Absolutey gutted as apart from the Accrington v Crewe game we missed out by just a goal for Morecambe and the corners bet for Stockport which means we had 15 of the 19 predictions come in but still lost the bet. 🙁

We will also introduce the idea of exchange betting which is something we have not touched on here before as it can be risky and also complicated ie Ridiculous Ideas for 2024. But as an example we have backed Leinster at 11-10 for this weekends Rugby and hope to lay the game later in the week. This is just something we want to try out and will explain it in greater detail later in the week.

Well it was a good run while it lasted but we are now back to square one as usual. 🙁 I have been asked again about why I use the “Rolling Maul” idea when placing my bets for the thread and the answer is simple we need to keep some interest in the threads. I may well personally use totally different amounts and wagers myself but for the thread we stick with the increasing stakes option (The Rolling Maul) as it attracts the most hits to the site.
This is just a fun site but with a serious side, but hopefully does give some insights into sports betting and also has had some notable touches (big priced winners) over the years. 🙂 I cannot believe we are already into our sixth year and the fact that I have made some good friends past and present through the site has been a bonus. 🙂

Well its half time and to all intents and purposes the Banker bet is already in and the Long shot is down as Scotland just picked up a Red card and having scored from the penalty given Germany are now 3-0 up. Now it is possible that Scotland could score three or more goals with ten men in the second half but I think you would get better odds on them raising the Titanic.

For those who are new to the site the idea is if the Banker bet comes in you cover your stake on the long shot bet so hopefully lose nothing maybe gain a few pennies and have a bit of fun with the long shot option. We will be back with another bet over the weekend. 🙂
