Novice mistake last night as I did not notice Anodandawink was third reserve. But we have that ridiculous Bet Bulder wager in the 2.52 which will probaly compound the problem but here goes.

Puma’s Dream 9-1 saved a few blushes by winning today and although Journey So Far let us down, with Anodandawink being a non runner that actually helped us out with the doubles etc.
This has given us a +5.60 return on the day and taken us back down to -8-80 which is a great relief. However the biggest take out for me today was the error made by Paddy Power when pricing without the second favorite as they have done this before and I will looking for this again.
With this in mind I know Suds had been pondering a thread along similar lines so keep an eye for that one.

Just the one tomorrow which is a To follow horse and Bet365 have opened up with double figure odds which is markedly different to anyone else’s so I have gone in straigh away without waiting for BOG.

Hesgonethatway has restored my faith as I was running a postmortem as to what had gone wrong to date (mostly my bad choices) when he popped in (advised @14-1) to give me a nice +16.80 profit on the day. This on top of our 9-1 win on Puma’s Dream the other day has turned a struggling -14.60 thread into a +8 point profit.
I will post a breakdown of the bets at the end of the month or when I get five minutes but needless to say I am a very relieved birthday boy. I will admit I was beginning to have my doubts over the new thread.
I will continue with the postmortem as we are not out of the woods yet and I have already seen a glaring mistake on my behalf.
I can see nothing of interest until Tuesday at present so have a bit of time to finish looking through my early schoolboy errors and hopefully its on-wards and upwards from here on in.

Thanks for that it was nice to turn that one around I had been getting quite a bit of stick for changing the 2025 thread….lol.

I was not sure about this one as it is not a To Follow horse but I see the possibility of an upset as this one is a bit of a monkey but looks to have potential. So betting without the odds on favourite looks the sensible option but at only 1/2 point each way what the heck.

I still think it was worth a shout yesterday but obviously we dropped a point leaving us on +7 we have one going today which again is not a to follow horse but gives me a chance to try out a conspiracy theory wager…lol.
There is flat race today at Punchestown which although sanctioned as a race will not please the purists but makes for an opportunity for me to throw my selection in to try a bet builder using Accustomed to fill the predicted just out of the frame position.

I think I should start a thread called Coulda, Shouda, Woulda (The Punters Excuse) …lol. Right horse/s yesterday but had I taken the 6-1 betting without the favourites it would have been a win or left it as straight each way or done Raydamann for 6 places etc etc. Happy enough though as we only just missed out by a short head and a neck so I still think we have now turned the corner.
I did have something for today but have just seen that Fairyhouse has been abandoned so will have to wait a bit longer to try and prove the point.

We have another horse going tomorrow which again is not a to follow horse but I will go straight in tonight as a single as there are extra places on offer and look for a bet builder in the morning when the markets are available.

This one was available at 25-1 not long ago but unfortunatelyhad shortened up by the time I posted.

Having missed the bigger price last night for the thread I was going to throw Poets Oath in with James The Brave in a bet builder this morning but the markets are not available so I will go in again with another 1/2 point each way this time at 18-1 for 5 places.
It’s never a good thing to back a horse that is drifting but as I am out later I will go for it and risk a 2 point loss.

As you may have noticed I was quite keen on Poets Oath and honestly approaching the last thought I was home and dry for the win but such is life and we had to settle for second beaten by a neck.However a place at 12-1 and at 18-1 means we picked up a couple of points and we now stand back up at at +8. We had hoped to do a bet builder with James The Brave (as mentioned) which also would have come in as he came third and it will be interesting to see at the end of the month how the new bet breakdown pans out. ?
There are two going tomorrow over at Thurles one Hesgonethatway was a winner for us last time out (as a To Follow horse) so has fulfilled his obligation but we will look to use again him alongside Happy Me in a bet builder. I will update the thread when the markets are published.

One step forward one step back at the moment as Happy Me ran a stinker but such is life. We are now on +7 and have a bit of interest in two races today over Fairyhouse but bet365 crashed out last night and the markets are slow this morning. Unfortunately I will be out this morning so will pop a couple of bets down without the bet builder options.

The right horse in Blow Wind Blow who won at 12-1 its a real shame the idiot who runs the thread did not back it as a single. This means we dropped 2 points on the day which puts us back on to +5 now. We have three going tomorrow in the same race over at Clonmel.

Apologies for any issues encountered late last night or early hours of this morning there was a little security update needed. Everything looks back to normal but please let me know if any issues are encountered.
Whilst this was going on I missed the 5-2 having missed the early 11-4 on Harty Cup (the to follow horse) so with best price 9-4 (BOG attached) this is going to be an expensive day if he misses the frame. The bet builder is also on @ 10-1 which has Harty Cup top 2 finish along with Comanche Moon and Nukies Artic for top 5 finishes.
It has been a hectic few days with a few site issues but Cheltenham brings its own problems outside of betting but rest assured all of your details are safe and are not shared with anybody.
