MikeKeymasterHi
Thanks Rob its first race nerves for me tomorrow when we go in on the 2.50 at Clonmel we have snapped up the early price for our first wager which is an each way single. We will miss out on Bog by doing so but I am more than happy with the price.Loi Des Jeux @ 20-1 for 5 places with bet365
Humble Brag and Crypto Crash are our extra market option horses but as both are around 25-1 for 5 places or 8-1 for 10 places we will await the Bet Builder option before going in with those. ? I will look at offering all of them on the exchange markets but Loi Des Jeux is already attracting some support despite being a reserve.
nb. As a late addition to the original post I failed to explain that the weight carried will play a part in the selection process and I would expect Crypto Crash to be the safer option.08/01/2026 at 10:10 AM #20858
MikeKeymasterHi
It looks like the racing will go ahead and all three runners appear to be set to line up. That was the good news the bad news is here is the write up for today’s runners which mentions “Never involved” “Soundly beaten” and “Tailed off”.Loi Des Jeux Never involved in opening maiden hurdles and now makes handicap debut
Crypto Crash Flat maiden and soundly beaten in opening three runs over hurdles; handicap debutant
Humble Brag Tailed off in opening three m’dens and best watched unless market speaksNot a confidence inspiring start but sometimes you have to just take a “Leap Of Faith”. Any Indiana Jones fans here..?. I am just hoping this is not my “Last Crusade” and the invisible steps are there to stop me plummeting into the abyss…lol.
I am still waiting for a better offer on a bet builder than the 14-1 for all three to finish in the top 7 (Paddy Power) as I am really looking for top 9.08/01/2026 at 10:39 AM #20860
MikeKeymasterHi
All that build up and my first runner from the win and place list…is… now a non runner. I will on principle have to try out the second option but as the number of runners dwindles it alters my calculations somewhat but here goes.Crypto Currency @ 12-1 for 8 places
Humble Brag @ 12-1 for 8 places
Bet builder option both to finish in the top 8 @ 9-208/01/2026 at 7:19 PM #20862
MikeKeymasterHi
I suppose that could have been worse the main bet was a non runner and although the bet builder lost I did put both of the others up as each way extra’s and Humble Brag actually placed fourth. This leads to the coulda, woulda, shoulda scenario of why did I not back it for the 5 places on offer at 25-1 etc etc but overall it was a loss of -1.3 points on the day.
There is a bet tomorrow over at Naas which will actually now be the 12.43 and if you think today’s bet was ridiculous given the write up for our selections in the racing post have a look at tomorrows trio…lol.12.43 Blow Wind Blow @ 50-1
12.43 Anodandawink @ 150-1
12.43 The Dancen Kid @ 200-1This will be a bet builder and/or each way extras again and we will update when the markets are published.

MikeKeymasterHi
The each way extra prices look unplayable but as this is a new idea/thread I will take the plunge with a range of bet builders from bet 365.
I am sure you do not need telling to be very wary of new ideas and especially mine as backing 200-1 shots to come anywhere but last is a fools errand but here goes. I will risk 4x 1/2 point wagers all for top 10 finishes on the following and hope for a miracle.Blow Wind Blow & Anodandawink @ 9-1
Blow Wind Blow & The Dancen Kid @ 11-1
Anodandawink & The Dancen Kid @ 18-1
Blow Wind Blow, Anodandawink & The Dancen Kid @ 70-111/01/2026 at 7:27 PM #20886
MikeKeymasterHi
I dropped a couple of points last time out but surprisingly I am not too disappointed. The bet builders were never going to be easy to get home and the three selections all finished within 6 lengths of the top ten slot required finishing 11th, 13thand 14th out of 25 runners and all more or less hit there respective time assessments.
I have a couple big days coming up for the thread this week starting tomorrow at Punchestown which will include the following selections if they all go to post.2.18 Loi Des Jeux @ 33-1 for 5 places
2.18 Sunrise Strider @ 14-1 for 5 places
Both of the above are taken from my initial list of 21 to follow. They will then be mixed in with the following for the bet builder selections.
2.18 Miss Mini Bee currently 14-1
2.18 Danny The Champ currently 25-13.18 Accustomed and Fighting Falcon both available at 18-1 at present and will be used in a bet builder and/or bet builder doubles with the runners in the 2.18.
As I will be laying out quite a few points on these options tomorrow a bad day could be a disaster and these are the days you wish had not started a new thread and stuck to the old one but wheres the fun in that.
nb. Plus the fact that having taken the early price on Loi Des Jeux with both Betfair and Bet365 I should get a chance to play the exchange markets if I fancy a dabble as it is already being backed. I would be espceially interested if Sunrise Strider or Danny the Champ start to move as I believe they are both overpriced.12/01/2026 at 11:27 AM #20890
MikeKeymasterHi
I have a non runner with Accustomed in the 3.18 which has ruined my planned bet builder doubles but that is probably a good thing…lol.
But here is a bet I can put down straight away whilst I have a look at my options.2.18 Loi Des Jeux, Sunrise Strider, Miss Mini Bee and Danny the Champ all for top 8 finish @ 20-1

MikeKeymasterHi
This is not the start I had envisaged but such is life the only good thing about the last set of wagers was the non runner..lol. But joking apart the to follow horses are what they are and they came good for me last time so its the long shot bet builders and extra market wagers that are likely to give me sleepless nights. I have one horse tomorrow which unfortunately is an extra a markets horse.
As it stands we are now -7.30 in total but I will split this into groups as we progress (and I get five minutes).Fairyhouse 1.15 Little Ivy currently 150-1 but obviously I will be looking for an option when the extra markets are published.

MikeKeymasterHi
Already being behind in the thread it was a tricky call last night especially as to make matters worse as we are up against the odds on Bambino Fever. But we have risked 1/2 point each way at 150-1 but can only post 110-1 for the thread (as the price has shortened up overnight) but did manage another 1/2 point each way 20-1 without both Bambino Fever and Cornelienne albeit there is already a small deduction on both bets there already.
Bambino fever is the TTF horse and it would be nice to get that one in for a win to keep the competition ticking along.14/01/2026 at 7:03 PM #20906
MikeKeymasterHi
I have had a bit of stick for dropping the 2025 thread as it was one of the more profitable ones but I need a new challenge and I honestly believe expanding the idea is the best way forward. Today’s runner Little Ivy although not stunningly profitable did make a small profit and although eventually only coming fifth, I still think was good shout as jumping the second last he was in third and considering he was 150-1 when I put him up gives me the confidence to expand this thread further.
So for tomorrow we will expand our options and go for a new angle by also backing in a chase race which we will include in our selections over at Fairyhouse.12.33 Speakasyoufind @ 25-1 for 4 places (Chase Race)
1.33 Agameoftwohalves @ 10-1
3.52 Dearg Mor @ 33-1 for 5 placesAdd in a bet builder option in the 1.33 when it becomes available using Puma’s Dream along with Agameoftwohalves and we will have an interesting and possibly expensive day….lol.

ParticipantHi mc
Does this mean the 2025 thread is officially finished. Or will it be coming back.15/01/2026 at 3:09 PM #20911
MikeKeymasterHi G
Apologies..I did receive your e-mail but have been struggling to reply to everyone (old age does not come alone).
Yes the thread has finished and I know it was not the most popular decision but it’s time to move on. I have forwarded the details over to you if you want to follow the old list through but the new selections will be used on this thread and slowly fed into the mix…lol.
I will however split this thread into several sections with one of them being more or less the same criteria as the 2025 thread so that each section will have it’s own running totals.
Besides which you are technically the enemy now as you are plying your trade elsewhere…lol, but anytime you want to come back over to the dark side let me know. ?19/01/2026 at 10:05 PM #20931
MikeKeymasterHi
I am busy working on the split G but will in the meantime place another couple of wagers over at Down Royal.2.20 Aswellasabentley @ 10-1 for 6 places
2.20 Surrey Force @ 40-1 for 6 placesBoth are a bit high in the weights so only really warrant 1/2 point each way tonight but we will be looking at a bet builder tomorrow.
