Beat The Lotto (£)

We will start a trial run of this competiton, this Saturday the 11th of June. The reason behind this Saturday, is that there is a decent amount of UEFA Nations League fixtures and some decent mixed NH and Flat racing on offer.

The idea is really simple the site purchases a lottery ticket on Saturday using six numbers between 1 and 59. The numbers are selected by the members playing who to join in, have to put up a selection on the site before 7am Saturday morning. We would be looking for three Goalpost tips (ie Football, Rugby etc) and three Winning Post tips (ie Horse racing, Greyhounds etc). The idea is to keep a running total of any winnings to see if we can can beat the returns on a lottery ticket.

I will fill in any gaps in the tipping otherwise its the first six tips and numbers that I recieve that are used. The tips will be used in a minimum spread of win trebles (as you need three lottery numbers to win a cash prize) and the stakes will match the lottery ticket stake of £2. Should we win any small amounts of cash it will be reinvested towards buying the tickets any big wins will be shared out between those playing that weekend with an additional 1/7th share going to the site to help fund its running costs.

It is free to enter and forms no contract between anyone entering said competition and the site owner (me 🙂 ). You just have to have a little faith. If you want to join in let me know during the week and then supply your tip along with your lucky number by the weekend. It is one tip and number per player for a 1/7th share and you have to be an active member to join in. 🙂 It will become a little clearer after this weekends trial run, feel free to join in.

My lottery number will be 14.

For my horse racing selection, I will go for one against the odds on favourite HONITON, who appears to be a bit exposed after 4 career starts in the 4.35 at Sandown, tomorrow.

FINDONO is the only 4yo in the race so has to give weight for age to all of his 11 rivals in this race, but has finished third on both of his starts, so he clearly has ability, whilst Jamie Spencer is just the jockey to navigate what could prove to be a tricky draw in Stall 12.

Firstly thanks to three brave souls Rob,Joe and Andy who stuck there head above the trenches and joined in. I am sure there are one or two others who maybe, are looking on to see how it works (as the site had over 150 hits yesterday). The competitions are free and just a bit of fun so next we time we try it if you want to join in just drop me a line on or off the site.  🙂

The lottery ticket has been purchased and the bet placed. The stakes are nominal (in accordance with the competition rules) involving trebles and an accumulator which would pay a maximum total of just over £1,193 if they all came in.

Well we did not get a return and the lottery ticket lost so it was a boring score draw on the day. 🙁
But hopefully it has shown those of you who have not been on the site before how it works and also links up with both the Goalpost Tips and Winning Post Tips tips pages.
This competition will be tried once more before the reset just to see if anyone else is likely to join in and we will look to trial another competition in the next week or so.

Thanks for that, and for all those that missed the last few posts on the main threads we will running a ‘Beat The Lotto’ competition this weekend. I know it’s bit early, but there is a bit of footie around especially as the Womens Euro’s will have started and we have a decent selection of Race meetings and some Rugby, Golf and Tennis available. 🙂
The Rules are the same as the test competition in the previous posts. One selection per active member plus one lucky number (not 27 as JoeH has put that up).
You have to be in it to win it. You do need to make a selection that can be used in a multiple bet and that is being played or run over the weekend. If you have not signed up and/or been accepted by Friday the membership will be closing down, so do reply to any membership application replies that have or are been sent out a.s.a.p.  🙂

Just one of those weekends again Supagirl 11-4 won France 6-5 (Mgame) came in HT/FT which means we just needed one more to start the trebles off. Then Victory Dance lost out by a short head in a battling finish both of the over 2 goals football matches had exactly 2 goals but had missed penalties etc and to top it off the reserve selection Speedicus 13-2 won but was never used.
Life is like that but with the lottery numbers missing out it was a score draw in the competition.

Thanks again to Mgame, JoeH and Rob for sticking there necks out and putting a selection down. 🙂
