    Hi folks,

    I thought I would share a system that I have been working on for the last 6 months.

    However, before I go any further, I must warn you that in many ways it is very different to the other excellent threads on this site.

    In fact the system has been developed to grind out monotonously regular micro profits at short odds and if this thread starts getting more exciting than watching paint dry, it will probably be due to the system failing!!

    To to be profitable, I will need to achieve around a 90% strike rate and a 10% return on investment, which I appreciate sounds impossible!!

    However, the system has achieved both since I started testing on 1 May 2025, so perhaps Frankenstein’s monster can survive in the big bad world?

    Any way must dash now, but will return later with some further details.

    Hi folks,

    Here are the further details I promise earlier today.

    I started testing the system on 1 May, having allocated an initial betting bank of 50 pts and have achieved the following results:

    Total bets: 135 – Winning bets: 125 – Strike Rate: 92.6%

    Total staked: 992 pts – Total Returns 1127.8 pts – Total Profit: 135.8 pts Return on Investment: 13.7%

    Initial Bank: 50 pts – Current Bank: 185.8 pts – Return on Bank: 272%

    All very satisfactory and in line with the metrics required to generate a reasonable profit.

    However, I fully appreciate that from the readers perspective these figures are worthless as I have not proofed my bets and the fore I could have just plucked these figures out of thin air.

    I promise I haven’t, but will start recording future bets from Friday, albeit the staking plan and all future figures will be based on the system since launch on 1 May, rather than turning the clock back to zero.

    All bets will be be placed on the Top Finishes market with B365 and as a general rule I will be looking for the lowest finishing position that is available (safety first) albeit I will accept higher finishing positions, when the odds on the preferred finishing position are prohibitively low.

    Sections will be chosen from various sources, each of which will have separate staking plan, allowing stakes to increase in line with the profitability of the selection source.

    I hope all of the above information makes sense, if not please let me know and I will try to explain further.

    Hi Rob
    Nice to have you back on and all the best with the thread.
    Suds and I used to make a decent profit from the “Each Way Extra” markets with bet365 but they soon closed that option down and the prices there have become unplayable lately.
    The “Top Finishes” markets looks interesting albeit it a little short for “Hail Mary” punters like me to dabble with but the name of the game is to make a profit one way or another and I will follow this one with interest.

    Hi Mike,

    Totally agree with you that this thread will not be interest to all punters and I must admit that the profitability of this system (so far) has surprised me.

    The margins on the Top Finishes market are minuscule, hence the need for an extremely high strike rate and a rather aggressive staking plan, but that said there would have been a small profit at level stakes, so clearly there is an edge for punters with plenty of patience.

    Anyway, only time will tell.

    Just a quick update on the system stats, prior to the big ‘kick off’ tomorrow, as there have been 3 selections over the past couple of days and all were successful.

    Total Bets: 138 – Winning Bets: 128 – Strike Rate: 92.8%

    Total Stakes: 1017 pts – Total Returns: 1156.9 pts – Total Profit: 139.9 pts – Return on Investment: 13.8%

    Initial Bank: 50 pts – Current Bank: 189.9 pts – Return On Bank: 279.8%

    I will be posting up to 4 selections tomorrow morning.

    All selections run at Down Royal and have been backed on the Top Finishes market with B365..

    2.02 – CARRIGMOORNASPRUCE – 5 pts on 4 places @ 1/9

    2.37 – THE YELLOW CLAY – 5 pts on 3 places @ 1/11

    3.47 – ROMEO COOLIO – 5 pts on 3 places @ 1/8

    I did warn that the odds on offer would be very short!!

    Hi folks,

    A satisfactory start with 2 successful bets and a non runner for a 1.2 pt profit on the day.

    However, I managed to dodge a bullet in the first race, as I was intending to back THEFLYINGKING, but the odds were too prohibitive even for this system, so saved myself a 5 pt loss, when he fell at the last with the race at his mercy – phew!!

    Hopefully there will be one or two selections for tomorrow.

    Hi Clarence,

    Apologies, did not see your message when posting today’s selections.

    To be honest, the system was due a loser and has been affected by the second day curse, with Stepdance only finishing eighth.

    That will teach me for being greedy, as I could have opted for eight places @ 1/14, but balked at the shortened odds!!

    Anyway, with A Dream To Share finishing fourth for a 1pt profit (after R4 deduction), the bank is down 9 pts today, which hopefully can be clawed back soon.

    Hi folks,

    Seventh place for MAXICOURT was good enough for a 4.8 pts profit after a Rule 4 deduction, albeit the omens weren’t great when he drifted from 9/1 to 28/1 by the off.

    It looks that there will probably be an all weather selection for tomorrow.

    Victory for ZOULU CHIEF has produced a 0.6 pts profit for today.

    There should be something for tomorrow, but I may have to wait until late morning for the Top Finishes markets to become available on B365.
